I think any diet that aims to eliminate an entire macronutrient is suspect at best, particularly for long term use. I can tell this because my third grader (who is, to a degree, special needs) objectively performs at about a kindergarten to first grade level and is often a pain in the ass behaviorally, and the teacher seemed so relieved when I was actually understanding that she is not an easy student. --- Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand. We could see him running around outside even. He was brought back to class and teacher (a lady probably in her late 50s or early 60s) asked "have a nice trip?" Several of us couldn't hold on laughter at that point.
Had a guy in my weights class sophomore year who was a loose cannon. Heard a bunch of clanking and ruckus while in the locker room, then I see him walk by holding a small locker door. Same guy earlier in the year brought in the biggest apple I'd ever seen, set it on the ground, and with one stomp made easily a 3-4 foot diameter pile of instant applesauce. --- Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand. It really isn't that bad. Mostly starving for a day is about the worst part, followed by the fire hydrant ass caused by the usually detestable prep drink. The procedure itself is easy. Biggest thing that will dry up your pool, locale aside, is stringency of preferences. There are tons of women without kids who are in their later 20s and into their 30s. People making $150k a year aren't simply struggling to get by due to inflation. Otherwise then it would be logically impossible for someone making $50k to even stay alive, but such people exist, with children too. The phenomenon of 6 figure income workers "just getting by" was around before COVID. Agree, it's a mix of lifestyle creep and, really, cost of living for a particular area. I'm in a situation wherein I am a single father with a mortgage, car payment, cover child care for two kids, and still put a decent little bit into my 401k while having fallback money. I work solid overtime to support this but none of the aforementioned expenses are ungodly either - I've yet to hit $90k in a year and I would be up shit creek if I lived in a high cost of living area. --- Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand.
