I'll say that Hit Monkey is going to eventually drop in series, and I don't think Thanos ever will. Do with that information what you like lol

I feel like Spider-Man is one of those cards that is really problematic when played well, but not that strong when outside of his niche.

But God is he annoying in his niche lol

Hell yeah. Thanos is one of my favorite cards. I love that I can throw him into any deck and have access to a bunch of 1-drops and card draw with utility. Reality, Space, and Time stones alone make him a worthwhile addition a lot of the time.

Usually need to work in a carnage or Venom to preserve board space, but he's great.

I've never had that problem, but I always keep power saving on and run the lowest brightness I can comfortably see, so my phone very rarely gets hot at all.

I really love dropping Odin after someone plays a Hobgoblin card on me. That's a lot of fun.

It's one of the best power swings you can get, lol. 16 power plus frees up a space plus occupies one of their spaces. I especially love doing it against Galactus, since it ruins his plan if you flip first.

Yeah, it's a good feeling when you outsmart somebody like that. I've gotten a lot better at predicting Galactus, and I've been running rogue a lot more often as a hard counter to the eventual Knull play that follows lol

This is why I run rogue instead of Luke Cage in my high evolutionary decks. It always catches them by surprise, and I always play it on the last possible turn.

Bounce decks are fun. I'd have gotten more power if I had played my Falcon after my Bast but I wasn't thinking. Still, though! If I had gotten Hit Monkey a little bit earlier...

Reminds me that I need to work Hit Monkey and Kitty Pryde into my Thanos deck, because it was slowly turned into kind of a bounce deck with cards like Angela, Bishop, and Beast in it.

Yeah, and with the other benefits from going without spending energy, that's way too easy to achieve. Cyclops is already pumping -2 power per turn, Misty Knight is +1, Sunspot is +X per turn, and Hulk is +2 per turn. All that for ~1 energy left over at the end of each of those turns.

So by the end of the game each of those 1 energy is building up ~6 power per point of unspent energy, which counts for Hulk even before he's played. It's a lottttt of power.

I think Hulk needs a nerf to maybe +1 power per unspent turn, so he's stronger than the default Hulk but not ludicrously so. Cyclops is also very strong, but he's more situational and gets easily countered by Luke Cage.

Yeah, Sunspot and She-Hulk are must-haves, I put them in mine for sure lol

Abomination is really solid with Wasp and Cyclops too.

After a couple of days playing around, I can officially say that high evolutionary is a very fun play style. I've always liked the "energy bank" concept, benefiting you for playing behind curve, but there were only ever a couple of cards that went with it. Now, with cyclops, hulk, and misty knight, there are enough cards to make it a real archetype. I hope to see even more things done with it in the future.

Also, HE is a pretty strong deck. Balanced by the fact that Luke Cage basically dumpsters him unless you manage to get a good enchantress play. Most people seem to have caught on to playing him on the final turn though lol

Some people are very afraid of that 20 power Thanos drop. I very rarely even play Thanos himself, but when the stars align he basically auto-wins a space. Maybe this guy has Thanos-related PTSD.

It makes sense from a design standpoint. As said in the patch notes, the concept of wave's existence makes cost reduction a tricky concept to develop further. With her previous function, any cost reduction was a workaround to the nature of her effect.

Wave is meant to let you play an expensive card early while also giving the same opportunity to your opponent. Otherwise, she's a floodgate that can really slow down decks like Thanos that have a lot of low cost cards.

When Wave was allowing multi-card drops because of cost reductions, she was creating a severely imbalanced power swing. If a card affects both players with an effect that could be positive or negative depending on what's in your hand, each player should be affected in roughly the same way. As in... every card in both players' hand should cost 4 regardless of prior reductions.

Have you unlocked tokens in general? It won't show up unless you've unlocked tokens. I forget what collection level you need for it.

I would guess you need to hit series 3 at least. Since series 1 and 2 are more or less the tutorial stage of the game.

That Rock Slide buff is not going to do anything to Black Hawk decks

I feel like dark hawk is too cheap, which makes him too easy to combo with mystique. For the amount of power he tends to get in his deck archetype, it's insane that he only costs 4.

He seems good. I'm gonna definitely nab him when he drops a series, but I'm saving my current batch of 6k for evolutionary because I think the concept is cool lol

Was considering getting High Evo but had Galactus pinned for so long I just decided to get him. Went from 35 to 47 in less than an hour.

I think I'm going evolutionary for sure. I love Thanos for the way he changes a whole deck just by existing, and high Evo is like that in a way too.

Iron Lad doesn't seem all that useful unless you got something like Howard the Duck or a Lockjaw/Jubilee/ High Cost deck.

Doubling up on some ongoing effects would be pretty solid. Plus 4/6 is a decent stat spread. It only copies the text, not the stats.

Yeah, Bast can do a lot. She's not bad in a Thanos deck, either, if you get a hand full of stones and then play her. Devil Dinosaur is also 3 power by default, so he can safely be played with her, too.

They still do the sketches, but the recent trend has been to do less of that and more of the actual review. There was a point when a video would be like 50% skits, but the ones I've recently seen aren't like that.

I think this was the longest game I ever played. This dude let the time run to 0 every turn before ending it. He used the Ms. Marvel emote.

I think he thought he could win until Odin dropped. Then he had to sit there through the whole animation of Odin going off four times, hitting Ironheart 4 times for each one.

Very cathartic to get 8 cubes for that one lol

He was deliberately underpowered though. 5/5 is bad stats, but not unplayable. He was weak in exchange for the ability. At 5/3 he's even worse than the 4/1 he was before.

I feel like 4/1 Sandman was 'balanced' but only in the sense that his board impact was very low while having a very high game impact regardless. Spending a turn 4 to gain 1 power but hamstring the next two turns was a pretty solid play if you ran a ramp deck.

Giving him 5 power made the benefit way too big. Costing 5 is barely even a limiter in an Electro deck. When you run Electro, a card that costs 4 and a card that cost 5 are basically identical in terms of flow.

I feel like any card that can affect what your opponent can play from their own hand should be deliberately underpowered. It's just too much influence over the other player's game.

Reiterating, I don't really think he's OP, but he's annoying.

What's truly messed up about it is that the Joker didn't even know she was Batgirl. He was there to kidnap and torture Commissioner Gordon, and shooting her was part of that. It was a fucked up coincidence.

I tried the spicy queso ones...and they're not as good. I think the texture is much better suited to something a little sweet. It reminds me a little bit of a rice cake, and I never liked cheese rice cakes, either.

I also have a bag of cinnamon ones to try soon. Looking forward to those.

Is there another game when good telekinesis?

I always loved Advent Rising, but it's very janky in its own way. A lot less focus on physics interactions, more just a power fantasy that makes you feel insanely OP by the end when you've leveled all your skills up. The first cool skill you get is picking up and throwing things telekinetically, but it builds up from there.

It's awesome too. I like it better than Psi-Ops, actually.

Another iteration of the Antz vs. Bug's Life, Megamind vs. Despicable Me, Infamous vs. Prototype, GTA vs. Driver style of comparisons. I never did play Second Sight. I was too busy playing Psi-Ops lol

Like the throwing physics just feel weak as all hell compared to something like The Force Unleashed.

Fuckin' great for its time, though.

If I remember right, it was one of the first games to use the Havok physics engine, and games didn't even come close to that level of physics detail prior to it. It was a huge deal at the time.

Makes sense that it didn't age super well. Physics have gotten pretty crazy in recent years. That's where a lot of processing power goes now.
