What a cutie! I love her design. She looks so vibrant despite having a somewhat desaturated palette. The blue stripe on the underarm is a bit overkill though.

It refers to characters that are quadrupedal. The Lion King, My Little Pony, and 101 Dalmatians would qualify as feral characters.

Outside of the furry community, the term feral always applies to wild behavior rather than an animal-like physique. It completely contradicts what it means to be a sapient quadrupedal when you label them as "feral."

If somebody told me they liked feral characters, and I didn't know what that meant, I'd assume it was bestiality lingo for liking real animals.

What's not what happens? If you think I'm exaggerating about the two leads fighting viciously or the bad guy hunter being a psycho with a gun, I'm not. He's so obsessed with hunting the fox that he endangers a woman by shooting at her vehicle while the fox is hiding in back of it.

It's highly unlikely that such a villain would appear in a children's animated movie today.

yeah i never called myself a furry because everything in that vid is something i knew for a decade. i like anthros, always have, i like the (drawn) porn, but i don't participate in the furry community.

I almost feel like you could use this film to ween your kids off of cutesy animated movies. Let's take two adorable cartoon animals, the best of friends, then have them fight one another viciously while a gun-toting madman tries to kill one of them.

I'm watching a different animated movie featuring canines every Monday in November. (Muttdays in Novemfur, I'm calling it.) Last night was The Fox and the Hound. I would've made a topic about it last night, but my internet cut out.

Thoughts:

- Jeez, this is depressing. I'm pretty sure I've left tragedies in better spirits.

- Wait, Copper is voiced by Kurt fucking Russell? "I'll get you for this if it's the last thing I do... and Hell's comin' with me!"

- Vixey is, well, a fox. <_<;

- The hunter is one of the easiest Disney villains to hate.

- Pre-Renaissance 80s Disney was pretty dark. It makes me wonder how things would've gone if they'd continued on this path.

A Nazi or a woman with incredibly bad hair?

But those are, like, my two biggest turnoffs. <_<
