Having multiple family members and numerous friends that work teachers, I agree they do have a challenging job in the sense that kids and parents are shitty, but I don't think it's especially challenging compared to any other job. It's got its ups and downs.

But yeah it is pretty eyeroll-worthy when you get a pretentious one that talks about how not everyone can be a teacher and it's one of the hardest, most important jobs out there. Enjoy your three month long vacation while some people are outside working in 100 degree heat lol.

Yeah, the closer to the center the stone is at the end of the round, the more points that stone is worth.

Nah that's not how it works.

You receive one point for each stone of yours that's closer to the center than your opponents.

For example if you have two right in the middle and two on the outer ring, but your opponent had one in between the all, you'd only get two points.

Edit: dammit, ninja'd

Blowouts/rips in places like the crotch generally tend to come from not washing often enough rather than washing too much. Especially in jeans like 501 STF, that lack some of the quality stitching that more expensive brands have.

That being said, 501 STF have been my go-to work pants for the four years Ive spent in a manufacturing/food product-related industry. I wash mine once a week and they still last years. They regularly come in contact with water, cleaning/sanitizing chemicals, and organic matter.

Yo, work pants are so special. I use Duluth firehose pants, they're like jeans on steroids.
I bought two pairs over a year ago when they had a good sale, and those things are fucking invincible. I wish I had an excuse to buy more of them but I just don't need anymore lol.

These new jeans are pretty great though. They're normally like $50 but they were on sale for like $35 and I had a 30% off coupon. Nice and slim, but have some sort of flexible hip seams that make it still easy to move stuff. Good dark blue color, and make my ass look great.

Oh and bonus points for big enough pockets to (mostly) fit a Switch into lol.

Not yet.

They're launching the full shebang, paid super version this September though I think.
It remains to be seen how good it will be though. Supposedly it's going to let you download classic NES and SNES games for free that have added-in online multiplayer though and will only be like $25 per year. We don't know any other details yet.

TBQH I'm a longtime Nintendo fan but I'm not expecting much still since I've begrudgingly come to grips with the fact they just don't understand how to handle online gameplay.

Again, actually written down by Moses, not God. Also, those ten are in the Old Testament (which you implied was not as applicable).

Well no, they were written by God's finger and delivered to Moses. Also genocide is murder which is covered by them. Regardless, not every single wrongdoing could be included in that list...

But yeah I'm sorry if I'm getting an attitude but it's frustrating in the same topic as people saying Christians are close-minded and archaic, to have someone say "nuh uh, becoming modern goes against the religion." So we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. What are we supposed to do? Like I pointed out, statistically, factually speaking, most Christians in this country support gay rights and are not hateful (I can link you to the polls for that). But it just seems unfair for that progress to be criticized as well.

Honestly though dude, I feel like you're missing the point of faith if you're under the impression that it's based on just following the Bible. Like, the core tenet of Christianity isn't just blindly quoting random scripture, it's belief in Jesus Christ. Like, his name is literally what the religion is named after lol. That's really the most important takeaway from the Bible, the whole cliched John 3:16 line that everyone knows. Churches aren't teaching "Make sure you read the entire Bible and follow everything it says, even the parts that contradict itself." They teach "This is the story of Jesus. Learn from it, and worship Him and everything is cool."

I honestly don't see how it's hypocritical to ignore parts of the Bible that make no sense in modern era since you're not supposed to be worshipping a book. If the religion was called Biblicalism, yeah maybe I could see the argument, but as is, if someone is just treating the Bible like a giant rulebook and following every single thing written in it, they're ignoring the entire point of their religion.
