I still feel bad for dropping Disco Volante so far down my list... I did love it the week we covered it, but it's the type of thing I have to be in the right mood to appreciate and I just wasn't at the time. It's also in this weird place where it's rarely as crazy & noise like as I might like, while still being far more experimental than traditional music... so I have to be in the mood for "weird, but not like 'Masonna' levels of weird":

Is there any chance you could narrow that down to two for the main ranking and then I could go over the rest at the annual post ranking? Since we hit 300, I'm trying to keep it to two extra songs per person because I really can't manage a 400+ song topic these days--trying to limit the time I spend typing each day to avoid hurting my wrists means *not* doing the full 8 hour shifts like I was pulling last topic... trust me, I want to, but it's not really viable at the schedule I want to maintain.

(Technically speaking, since most people aren't using their bonus nominations, there is room for more than two each... but it wouldn't exactly be fair to everyone else unless I remove the limit for everyone and this could spiral out of control pretty quickly if I did that.)

Same network as Friendship is Magic when Hasbro was airing a lot of new shows for their properties. If you checked out Ponies, it was pretty easy to just keep watching the next show about diminutive talking animals.

...Granted, I'm still not entirely sure how MLP took off like it did, but I'm sure it got a fair number of people to check out at least part of an episode of LPS.

Ah, Littlest Pet Shop. I loved that series and I'm still prone to quoting it on a regular basis because it had a lot of influence on me... I was really happy to see one of its songs get nominated, but I didn't think it had much of a chance at this particular topic.

...Honestly though, I'm not all that into it either? I mean, I love the characters and it's so nice to see them again, but musically, it's... fine? Even with my overwhelming bias in its favor, it's just... fine. I'm a bit sad that I don't like this more than I do.

Ah, Pixel. That was the only song I actually had plans to nominate somewhere. I stumbled upon the song while trying to find something for BOST 6.
.. I'd wanted to find a very crunchy soundtrack, but also a relatively obscure one. Not out of belief that it'd get enough support to go anywhere, but in a "look at this cool thing I found" type way that might have pleasantly surprised someone who was listening to all of the nominations.

I have no idea what search terms led me to Pixel, but that was exactly the type of sound I was looking for! And... none of the rest of the songs on the OST quite worked, making it completely irrelevant for my purposes. I never did nominate anything for that topic. But I saved the song, waiting for someone who might appreciate crunchy music to make a VGM topic so I could finally show this thing to someone! It's honestly not great, but I like it well enough and I'm quite relieved that you didn't hate it.
