By making them mandatory, you're undermining the efficiency they're suppose to have. So 5-10% of the total population is unvaccinated. How are they a threat to the vaccinated population? If you're so worried, then get vaxxed and leave the Amish communities alone.

Yeah, I get it. Only vaxxed people have the right to be a walking biohazzard. So nobody would have a problem with them infecting the immunosuppressed since there's a less likely chance of it happening. Instead of banning unvaccinated kids, wouldn't it make more sense to ban the kids that actually have the freaking measles? Then when it subsides they can return to school. And I don't get the seatbelt analogy. The argument is how measles affects others, not yourself. How do your wearing a seatbelt benefit someone that doesn't?

Good. In this case, public safety outweighs "freedom", in much the same way as mandatory seatbelts. You don't have the "right" to be a walking biohazard to the rest of society, especially the immunosuppressed.

Yeah but what if they don't even have the measles? BTW, approximately 20-30% of people that caught the measles in the current outbreak were already vaxxed. Want to ban them too since they can theoretically still spread the disease?

All I did was read the article I linked. In these examples, the guy is claiming an infected person that interacts with 10 unvaccinated people will infect 2 of them on average. He then uses some weird logic that if he instead interacted with 1,000 unvaccinated people the answer will remain 2 on average. Why not 200? None of this makes sense without explaining how R0 is calculated which is what the guy failed to do.

So I wanted to use my math skills to understand how herd immunity supposedly works. The value of R0 is used to calculate the threshold percentage a population needs to prevent an outbreak. In the case of measles, R0 is about 15, which means a person with measles will infect 15 others. But it doesn't take into consideration how many interactions that person has. Whether it's 0, 100, or 10,000 that person would supposedly infect 15. So Roast, explain that!

Maybe not 72, but according to this, the "recommended" amount is about 25 doses by the time a kid is 2 years old unless I'm missing something.

What if you had a kid with a debilitating injury caused by a vaccine?

And regarding medical history, how would a person automatically know they could have an adverse reaction to something until they actually get it? How would a person allergic to peanut butter know they are allergic before actually have tried it? The same logic applies to vaccines.

And then there are many in the medical field that believe there is a connection. And those are the same people that get slammed.

I want absolute proof that there is no connection before arrogantly claiming there is none. Not another vaxxed vs. unvaxxed study where the "unvaxxed" are merely the people that didn't receive the one specific vaccine being studied.

Fever subsides a few days later and kid falls into autistic regressive state. Now, I'm not suggesting that vaccines are the ONLY cause. I also know that term "autism spectrum" is too broadly defined. The type I'm referring to is the type where kids are screaming and banging their heads nonstop likely due to encephalitis caused by vaccines.
