I dunno, it seems like you're still arguing in circles. That's the second time you've said you're done arguing in circles.

And, yes, Shablagoo, many transgender women don't want to hide the fact that they're trans from people they're close to. I imagine they don't want to burden themselves with something else to hide. I just find it hilarious that people feel transgender women are obligated to come out to near-strangers the second those strangers start drooling over them.

The principal of it? Which principal is that? What school do they work at? You sure spent a lot of time arguing in favor of something you now claim not to believe.

Imagine a world where you're capable of having a nuanced discussion with women and telling them your stance in a way that doesn't imply you think they're trans.

If you can't imagine that world, I think transgender women are the least of your problems.

There's reason and opinion. You've devolved into a blubbering mess clinging to the latter. You lose. It's fine if you don't accept it. After all, you just told us you're going to effectively stick your fingers in your ears and scream "LA LA LA" until the opposition goes away. Why would we expect you to acknowledge your defeat? xD

You've now abandoned all reasoning and just decided not to change your mind no matter what. That's as good a concession as any. You lose the argument. =p

Clearly it's not just you. So what? No one is required to conduct themselves based on vague notions like "common opinion." Your claim that some things are bigger deals than others is purely subjective. You have no rational basis on which to make your argument, which is why you keep resorting to perceived statistics you don't have. You're going to have to face reality. It's not anyone else's responsibility to filter the girls you approach based on your biases. Do it yourself.

Also, if I'm the one with the personal hangup, why is it you who is demanding that people you're not interested in behave a certain way on an internet forum?

You're assuming all cisgender men share your aversion. That isn't the case. Sooorry, but you can't weasel your way out of responsibility just by crying "Bad faith!" over and over.

If anything at all is a dealbreaker for a relationship with you, it's on you to be clear about that. For example, I'm an atheist and wouldn't want to date someone who thinks I deserve to burn forever just because I don't believe in god, so it would be on me to make sure I'm not dating someone who believes that. Know what? I don't wanna date anyone who sucks at math, either. Does that mean everyone who has failed a math course should be required to tell every potential romantic interest on sight? Of course not!

If we had to list all the possible turn-off for all our possible partners, we'd just be spouting autobiographies at each other all the time. That's silly. You are the one responsible for making sure you vet your partners for traits you deem undesirable. You already understand that in most cases, but you're trying to special plead against transgender people because they're the minority. That's naked bigotry. Own your prejudices.

That's the burden of having such a strict preference. You just wanna shove that burden onto transgender women so you don't have to deal with it. Such cowardice...

How's this: If you don't want to date a transgender woman, tell that to every woman you meet at the first sign of either of you expressing interest in the other. Most transgender women won't want to pursue the relationship after that.

Of course, you'll also alienate some cisgender women, and you don't want that, do you? Geez, being open with people sure is tough...

Assuming this is a straightforward math question, 57.75% is correct.

However, I'm going to assume there are shenanigans at play and say 100% because the wording says "Paul does an action" rather than "Paul tries to do an action." It sounds like you're saying Paul has already succeeded at doing the thing with a 35% chance of success twice.

Right. Well, you seem unwilling to engage with some of my points (non-sex-related unfairness in sports being completely ignored, requests for evidence) and show only a desire to throw memes at others. I shall categorize that as a concession of the argument. Have a lovely day!

Have you considered that women may not realize they're allowed in the NFL etc?

Regardless, you made a claim. Where's your evidence? I acknowledge that men are at a large advantage in many sports, but you've done nothing to prove there couldn't possibly exist women who could compete.

It's fine if you disagree. However, if you temporarily remove transgender people from the discussion you're just demonstrably wrong. Tall men are vastly overrepresented in men's basketball, for example. Short men are at a crushing disadvantage. What you're arguing is that factors relating to biological sex have a larger effect than other factors such as height. That may be true; I don't know, and I doubt you have facts applicable across the board for all sports. I don't know if you have data regarding weightlifting, but I'm pretty sure you haven't pitted Amanda Nunes against literally every male pro fighter of her weight.

Regardless, my primary point is that you're just choosing one of many factors to care about ("biological sex") and completely ignoring the rest. You mention the end of womens' sports. Are you saying it would become literally impossible for women to participate in sports at a high level if they had to compete against men? If so, I'd like to see some concrete evidence. (Not speculation.) If not, then what's so bad about ending the segregation based on sex in sports? I don't see you complaining that, for example, people of African heritage are overrepresented in men's basketball due to a higher average height. Should we segregate based on race? Even if we do, we'll just find other unfair sources of inequality that bar a broad category of people from competing in each specific division. That's a result of genetic diversity.

Ignoring whether or not the biological advantage actually persists post-hormones etc, here's my counterpoint.

Sports are just inherently unfair based on physical characteristics. Basketball unfairly disadvantages short people. Those with better genetic dispositions for athleticism are generally better off in sports across the board. Singling out gender alone as a problematic dividing trait is, as far as I can tell, special pleading.

That answer may not be terribly satisfying, but it, too, is a biological reality.
