The only reason it didn't end on Friday was because the judge essentially sent the jurors packing right away. I feel like it has been a pretty one sided case. The fact that the defense reduced thier counter suit down to around $250,000 hints that they don't believe in thier case. Caster bean is also pretty common and I see that along side roads all the time. When the beans of that plant are crushed they form ricin, a deadly toxin common in used for assassinations, historically in eastern Europe. Poison oak is also pretty common. It is pretty easy to identify by its three touching leaves. Some forests are infested with the stuff and the leaves will cause a rash when contacted with, so you can come out of these forests with a full body rash if you are not wearing long sleeves or pants. DragonClaw01 05/29/22 1:39:15 PM #39 | It does seem to be a bunch of poorly laid out excuses. First it was that they thought the security guard was handling it, although why you would leave a lone security guard to fend off the attack by himself makes no sense, but it was found out later that there was no security guard fending off the attack, so they straight up lied on that one. Then it was that we don't have body armor so it would be too dangerous to fight off the assailant, but I don't know why thier lack of preparation should be taken out on victims and it is not like police haven't dealt with not having proper body armor for the job before. Then it was that we are not trained for these situations and need specialized equipment and personnel to do the job, so I guess you have to be specially trained to shoot someone as a police officer now a days. I guess the only thing I can side on the police officers with was that a lockdown was in effect at the school shortly after the first couple shootings and the situation did not appear to be escalating, so they could appear to wait a bit for Swat to arrive, but yeah the optics of the whole situation was terrible. --- <('.'<) <(^.^)> (>'.')> Splendiferous |

Even though I don't think it has been discussed anywhere and it could be bull, I also feel eating a lot of spicy food deadens the temperature sensing nerves as well. For instance, I can eat a French fries right out of a fryer without being in pain ever since I started eating lots of spicy food. DragonClaw01 05/27/22 7:16:49 PM #88 | I had off today, so all I pretty much did was binge the trial, drink whiskey & eat tacos, so I feel like one of Amber's turds. Yesterdays Trial There were multiple witnesses, but it pretty much was Heard that everyone cared about and it was the return of Hallmark Movie Heard again: lots of houghy acting, rising crescendos & the Heard special of no tears (maybe she's a reptilian or something). The whole thing was a disaster, as she went on a histrionic rant about how the Twitter people were out to get her & if the jury did not vote against the Depp then they would microwave her baby or something. It was total cringe and the desperate testimony was anhilated in cross. At this point you can see the utter hatred that Heard has for Vazquez. Heard may not have PTSD from Depp, but I feel like she is going to get it from Vazquez and her ruthless cross examinations. Closing For Depp, it was nearly flawless. Good pacing, structure and points. It pretty much salted the earth of anyone ever believing Heard by reiterating the lies that she told over and over and over again, bolstered Johnny by showing his life and how damaging Heard's lies were and then ended by a call to action to save Depp by voting yes on defamation. Very enjoyable. For Heard, I thought Rottenborn's closing was pretty good. He tried to pivot domestic abuse from physcial to verbal and emotional and supported his argument with strong evidence. Although, ultimately it is far too late. Depp's team have essentially set the parameters for domestic abuse to be physical pretty early an area Heard as very little evidence for, so this shift to try to define it as verbal and emotional this late in the trial is ineffective. However, regardless of how good Rottenborn did, crazy cat women Elaine ultimately mucked things up to an unmanageable degree. She was pressed for time so she was going at 2x speed the whole time and was just spewing a word salad of unintelligible garbage. She came across as the drunk conspiratorial aunt at a Thanksgiving party and pretty much screwed up everything Rottenborn was doing, by confusing the hell out of the Jury and burning almost all the time for rebuttal. What a garbage lawyer. --- <('.'<) <(^.^)> (>'.')> Splendiferous |

Plus she keeps pushing this dumb narrative that she is a perfect little angel, St. Heard, as I call her when everyone knows she is a LA party girl with a $25,000/month Cocaine budget and abusive tendencies. At least Johnny is a little more relatable and not stretching credulity by acting perfect Although, honestly, yesterday was a bit boring because it mostly had Depp witnesses who are actually half way normal unlike the degenerate hatchetmen that Heard calls. It evidently exists, but no one has seen it. The Heard supporters pretty much have to resort to a vast conspiracy orchestrated by Depp to bribe all the police, doctors & numerous in house witnesses to explain why there is no evidence of physcial violence committed by Depp against heard. DragonClaw01 05/22/22 12:35:30 AM #71 | ZannoL posted... Honestly, the you say that about the whole day. I mean Heard's team start with questioning Johnny's former lawyer where they ask objectionable questions for about 45 minutes straight and when they finally ask questions that Johnny's lawyer can answer he drops that the purjury case for Heard is still on going and that he handed the officers "A binder full of purjerious documents". So that blew up in thier face. Although, the jury may have been asleep by then. Graph guy was next, but we already described him. Then you had the lawyer that drafted Heard's op ed. After citing his credentials for nearly ten minutes, he stated that the op ed he drafted should've been completely, totally defamatory proof, since he is some mega super defamation lawyer. Welp, hope Heard can get a refund on that one. Next, we got an old geezer phycologist that didn't remember Depp as a patient (how can't remember Depp as your patient?) and spend his testimony going through his notes & speaking in stream of consciousness. It was pretty weird. They called Depp's former sex buddy from twenty years to try to get evidence of physical abuse, but the worst she could dredge up was Depp tossing a wine bottle at the ground that injured no one and erm, he was worried about people cheating on him. What a violent maniac we have here. Finally we had Heard's agent that stated that Heard didn't lose her Aquaman contract or any contracts for that matter & tried to convince the jury that somehow Aquaman was a critically acclaimed masterpiece or something and should've earned Heard a bigger paycheck and that her inability to leverage Aquaamaaan for a bigger contract is evidence of Depps defamation affecting her. I mean I guess, Depp an A lister lost 50 million from the cancellation of his pirates contract and has been essentially canceled from Hollywood, but if you want to convince us that Heard is being discriminated against because she can leverage her Aquaman role into a bigger career be our guest. --- <('.'<) <(^.^)> (>'.')> Splendiferous |
