Pac Land is among some of the worst stages in the series (many of those being introduced in 4 interestingly) because it stops being about fighting your friends, and starts being about fighting against the stage itself. --- |

I haven't watched them play yet but my thoughts are this: Whenever a player is Emperor, all they need to do is shuffle their deck and draw at random. The psychological piece is thus thrown out. In response the slave player would play around the third round or something to maximize their statistical chances, but in any case the Emperor has the advantage. So Kaiji can just place larger bets when he is Emperor and the 1mm when he is slave, and he will still never risk organ destruction, assuming the Yakuza are truthful. --- |

Women kissing is the least controversial LGBT idea to straight males, who are the majority of AAA game buyers. Lesbian women lets executive boards check off a box when planning their product without sacrificing any significant pre existing buyers. Talk to me when there are prolonged scenes of gay men kissing at E3. Until then any 'diversity of ideas' the publisher and devs tote is artificial. --- |

People say Revenant Kingdom had its budget cut. --- |

| Doe 06/15/18 3:42:13 PM #15 | BotW is one of the only games I've played that made me feel like a treasure hunter in a grand, massive world. A true adventure game. It doesn't have the self insert freedom of Skyrim, but the intriguingness of its world is unmatched. The game leaves everything up to you. From the very start you can disable minimap sensor bullshit and it doesn't matter because the world is well designed and you can literally go wherever you want. You won't be full strength if you skip the early Sheika village stuff but after that as you build up your inventory you can conquer the most dangerous locations if you have enough skill, wit, and precision. Climbing anything is a great feature, crazy items like Octo Balloons, Za Warudo timestops, let you pass obstacles in whatever way you want. Anything you can see, you can go to. And unlike Morrowind you can use vendors for ten minutes without instantly becoming God and breaking all the challenge. Everything you get is useful, there's a ton of 'scene setting' items but you can pick them right up and scoop someone's brains out with it. There's just so much to praise about the game --- |

Basically his reasoning didn't convince me, maybe it wasn't concise enough.
