I'd argue Qiqi isn't that great outside of her healing. She produces too little energy and other healers like Diona/Noelle and Bennet offer more utility over just extreme healing. Most scenarios Qiqis healing is overkill. Her CD are also a issue and she applies a very slow amount of cryo so she's not great from a melt combo perspective. Her constellations are also trash so getting dupes feels bad. Overall I still got her to freindship 10 and she is still very much usuable, I just don't consider her the best healer in the game.

I prefer Noelle. Tiers be damned.

First 5 star pull.... and its Qiqi. Kinda disappointed it wasnt Keq but hey a 5 star is a 5 star and this is pretty hype!

Qiqi is the best healer in the game by a mile, so that's no bad feat.

Plus, good Cryo types are pretty rare.

My first 5* was Mona. Followed by Klee during the Klee event, and then I got Qiqi and Keqing in the past week. Getting Keqing twice was crazy.

Honestly, to me the luckiest thing I've ever "pulled" was a week where I literally pulled four completely random Noelles. I actually fully completed her Constellation this week, and she's legit amazing when maxed out.

Empathy =/= compassion and can actually deprive someone of compassion depending on what they're empathizing with. Empathy isn't always a good thing and it often leads us to sacrifice others to favor the target of our empathy.

I agree, and it's a shame it took me 30+ years to finally come to this conclusion. I remember as a teenager I was so upset that I didn't cry when my grandmother passed away, but in retrospect I loved her a lot, and I grieved in my own way. I know I'm still a good person, and that's all that matters, whether or not I feel strong emotions.

This is one of those times where I'm glad I have compassion, but I'm not fundamentally very empathetic. I do legitimately feel bad for that rat, but it's something from which I can move on. I used to think my lack of empathy was a curse, but now I really believe it's a gift that helps me stay level-headed when things like this happen, so I can potentially fix it.

I know you're a doctor or something, and I'm not, but this seems like it may have been an embolism or something.

My guess is arrhythmia caused by hypoxemia. It looked like agonal breathing, which is usually something that happens during the dying process. Probably had an unsustainable heart rhythm due to low oxygen.

I mean, I'm not a veterinarian, but there is a remarkable amount of overlap in biology, especially with mammals.

Holyshit what the fuck?

Is rat covid a thing?

It's definitely some kind of zoonotic virus like Coronavirus. I just can't get over how quickly it affected the young rat. Ratney took a day or two, and Brownie was a little faster but still over a day.

My best guess at this point is that I should not expose any other rats to Ratney for at least a few weeks if not a month. Honestly, based on what I saw, it's extremely lucky that Ratney survived.

By the way, I'm okay. It's just hard to believe that's how he died. Normally respiratory arrest happens slowly after someone passes out from hypercapnia.

Ratney made a full recovery, which apparently is actually rare even in its own right as usually rats have permanent lung damage if they survive. The survival rate is less than 20%.

So I'm devastated, Smokey developed tachypnea yesterday afternoon and with a few hours progressed extremely fast. I could tell he wasn't going to make it through the night, and he was clearly very scared. Only a few months old.

So I literally stayed up all night, holding him to keep him warm and comfortable. But then he started gasping for air through his mouth, which to me looked a lot like agonal breathing (the final stages of respiratory collapse and sometimes cardiac arrest).

He completely went ballistic, fell out of my hands, started crawling around on the floor with his eyes bulging, and then curled up and stopped moving. It was absolutely horrifying to watch.

I don't know what virus this was, but only Ratney survived.

If I wasn't already used to seeing this sort of thing in the hospital, I would have been legitimately traumatized.

But once I got used to the controls again it became so satisfying to move around. There are definitely some objectively bad design choices in the game, but looking past those, the game is a ton of fun.

I see what you're saying. I think, for me, it's a bit jarring that it's the only 3D Mario that feels sort of unpolished.
