I'm a big fan of the "Poe and Finn should just blindly trust the leadership for no reason" subplot.

I like how basically half the movie wouldn't have happened had she just answered his question as to what the plan was instead of being a secretive bitch

Yeah that was super annoying.
Then when Leia tells Poe, he's like "OMG, she was right all alonnnnggggg", when his real response should have just been, "Why the fuck didn't she just say that, especially after I point-blank asked like a dozen times?" It was stupid.

Overall, I liked this way more than FA, mainly because it wasn't a complete Empire clone, like FA was to ANH, but there's too many nagging issues for me and incoherence with the overall plot. And there's basically no way for IX to redeem it all now. This new trilogy basically feels like a let down.

I can see that. Ive definitely found certain things more enjoyable with the mystique preserved. Though a TV show doesnt necessarily need to explain it. It could just dive into it, just showing how it worked. Not necessarily where it came from, or why it worked.

Fair enough. I did like to see that the gold coins were professionally made in 2, and stuff that expanded it all, like the High Table and whatnot.

I'm just smitten with the series, and you can tell it's effective story telling when even my mom gasped when John broke the rules of the Continental. Even on my first viewing, I really didn't want him to break the rules.

Well, what I think Sunny meant by why fight the guards was just an extension of why shoot her. If he hadnt shot her. He could have claimed he didnt kill her, and thus avoided the fight altogether.

Yes and no. These are trained killers, and John Wick showing up at your place can mean one thing. The "I didn't shoot her" line would fail pretty quickly, as it would be obvious as to why she would kill herself out of nowhere to begin with.

I hope they do make the TV series about the underground assassin society. That would be cool.

Again, yes and no. While I do like the details, especially the expanded knowledge the second movie provided, I think it would kill some of the fun if the mystique was exposed. I kinda like that there's just hotels that openly cater to assassins-I don't need to know how or why they were founded. Or why assassination in general seems to be an open secret. I like that this stuff is never fully explained. It's what made the moves so cool on first viewings, that the extraordinary was in fact, ordinary.

True. Bad people are terrible.

That, and she was still dying from the bloodloss. The bullet made sure she was gone, almost like a mercy. Plus, being an assassin, I'm sure it's basically instinct at this point to make sure the job is done with 1 to the head.

As for him fighting the guards, her body guard/lover Cassius recognized John on the way out, and instantly pieced together that he could only be there for one reason.

This is significant. The idea that the GOP voters are hand-waiving more because of supposed Democrat transgressions is non-sense. A casual scroll through the comment sections of AL newspapers shows that a large % of people simply believe either Moore is innocent, and that is some secret hit-campaign by the "Deep State", or they simply don't care if he's innocent or not, so long as the magical "R" is next to his name.

Those actually saying "B-But Bill Clinton!" are loons as well, since getting a consensual blowie and literally raping underaged girls is about as far removed as possible.

Just that, they are of the nature that if they ever got out or leaked out, context of the photos could give enough clues leading back to me. Even if I edit myself out.

Which, ultimately, is likely not a huge deal. Most of the photos aren't on set, so I wouldn't be breaking an NDA or anything by disclosing where we are not at work, but I'd still want to get her permission first, at least. And I'd still probably edit myself out, anyways, rendering the proof of these photos being authentic moot anyways.

Dark Souls (any), Starcraft 2, Borderlands, Any Call of Duty, Pokemon, and those are just the ones that I know about.

I thought you were talking about strictly competitive games. Obviously, you can hack games that aren't entirely server-side. The scope of what you can do varies, though.

So, it looks like Nintendo will be giving the NES Classic another go:

https://www.theverge.com/2017/10/26/16553374/nintendo-switch-supply-reggie-fils-aime-interview

The "Nintendo artificially restricting demand" argument never made any sense (since there's nothing to gain by hyping what already is insanely over-hyped, and guaranteed to sell), but as I thought, seems to just be a mix of being over-cautious, or incompetent in reading the pulse on how popular their stuff is. Or, as Reggie suggested, they might have have legit stupid supply chain problems.

Besides, hacking is just a sort of what you need to learn to live with on PC, it's equivalent of getting robbed, yes it sucks, but it's not ever time you go outside.

Maybe for low-tier games with weak servers. It's basically non-existent with actual big title games.

Btw (triple post, fuck it), did I ever tell you guys that a few years back, i started recording, in a year-to-year basis, every single *new* (as in, new to ME, as in I've never experienced it before) type of media I consumed? Particularly, film, games, books, and TV seasons (and theater shows/plays, to a lesser extent, since I saw a bunch in London this year). I got my one friend into it, too (shes almost already to 100 films alone this year, the no-lifer). Wonder if any Geeks have considered tracking this, or doing this as well.

I'm up to 61 films (I also denote if they came out during the current year, or if I saw them in theaters), 15 TV seasons, 7 games, but only 3 books.

Would be interesting to see what everyone else comes up with in a given year. Would also be cool to keep a running track of what each has seen, so we can comment on it (i.e., I saw the original "Wicker Man" for the first time this year).

Cuphead looks interesting, but I don't think it's a game that I will play. Because it's on the Xbone and the pc, and I loathe pc gaming. The other reason is that it's difficult for the sake of being difficult. However, I do like the art style. It looks like a Steam Boat Willy cartoon bought to life, and that's pretty cool.

It IS one of the few games for the PC that I've run into as of late that I'm sure would feel better with a controller. Even after customizing the controls, it still doesn't feel *quite* right. That said, I disagree with the "difficult foe the sake of difficult" part. Don't get me wrong, it IS difficult, but looking back on many of the bosses (I'm a little over half-way through), many of their attack patterns are very simple, and it was just my own impatience/ham-handedness that cost me so many tries to beat. Interestingly, it doesn't really have that "here's where I take all of your quarters" feel of many run and guns, like Metal Slug (which, btw, is a series I adore), especially since the attack patterns of many bosses are randomized, so you can't sit there and remember them, a la Donkey Kong). It' very much adapting on the fly and having great situational awareness, which leads to interesting results (some bosses I absolutely struggled with my friend would beat with ease, and visa versa).

That said, I likely wouldn't be playing the game if not for the amazingly charming animation style and music, which is of course the chief draw here.
