AT no point was this every true, retrospect be damned. Trump ran for himself and his purse, not because he wanted or expected to win. Once in the WH, he used the power of the office to enrich himself.

I'm sure you think you're being very clever with your "both sides" rebuttal, but the situations really are not comparable in the slightest. Trump's behaviour for the entire time he has been in the political eye has been nothing more than a spoiled brat propping up his ego so he doesn't have to face the fact that he lost legitimately, even when faced with the fact that perpetuating that lie has single-handedly driven numerous mentally ill people to violence.
That, and there WERE (verified) counting irregularities and suspicions, never mind the very to-this-day controversial decision of the Supreme Court to come in and stop the recount (it's not clear if the SC even has the authority to do that, but this country treats the SC's orders as gospel).

Compare this to the 2020 election, verified as the safest and secure on record, and which was exhaustively review as the counting occurred. What voter fraud occurred was insignificantly small...and was done almost entirely by Republicans. Apples to oranges as it gets.

I'm seeing nothing online about tis happening.

Honestly, it could be held off, since even though I've played Civ 6 to death, it's in a damn good spot and a very well made game. Sure, it came out 6+ years ago, but after all the DLC and updates (let alone mods), it's hardly like the vanilla.

I'd rather Firaxis make XCom 3, or a new Pirates! fucking game already.

Its weird. Even if they got the voting age changed, who says itll be enough to get more of their votes. And wont the ones who they made not old enough be old enough by the next election? And if they changed it and still got less votes, would they try to raise it again?
I'd say, sure: raise the minimum to 21, in exchange from capping voting at age 65.

I am an avid board game player and I don't think that is really true. Roll and writes are very popular for example. There are a lot of people that don't like dice rolls that determine success or failure in some board games without a way to help mitigate bad rolls.
Basically this. There's a whole genre that heavily involves dice.

Now, if you're talking about something like, say, Risk, where RNG rolls can outweigh any actually gameplay you do, then yeah. But, that's a pretty antiquated game design that basically doesn't exist in modern non-party board games. Or if they do, it's something like Catan, where dice rolls are meshed around strategic probability. So, hating dice games in a board game community is a little akin to yelling at clouds.

See: almost the entire GOP accepting that Trump was guilty of inciting 1/6, acknowledging that it was an impeachable offence, but choosing to vote against removing him from office under the pretense of various forms of "we think he's learned his lesson" that did nothing to hide that they just voted along party lines with no regard for the truth of the matter.
Of course, the underlining reasoning is simply: "We'll never do something that harms the party, perceived or otherwise." That's exactly all that American Right-wing politics is anymore, along with "If it hurts the Democratic Party, we like it."

That's it. Everything else is just so much fluff.

They also said they had enough to remove him from office before he took office. At a certain point, even the die-hard Trump critics have to acknowledge the whole thing is a sham.
  1. The 1/6 Committee didn't exist before Trump was elected, so no, "they" didn't.
  2. Technically, this is true, as there really is no minimum requirement for impeachment, and any one of Trump numerous scandals would have been more enough to act on. But then we learn about the fun political culture surrounding impeachments, and why they aren't common.

Also, post on your alt, you coward.

Kinda this.

It's actually kinda mindblowing, Thomas' obvious corruption aside, why any SC would even entertain such a request. Hell, it's not even clear if the SC even HAS the authority to do such a thing (which mostly stems from what the SC can and cannot do never really being challenged before).

Remember, Graham was simply ordered to testify. Another court stopping simply testimony, for any reason, is utterly bonkers. It couldn't be more obvious he is trying to cover for obvious 1/6 conspirators.

Then again, the entire SC can weigh on this and over ride Thomas.

Certainly seems like it, with the 1/6 hearings. They straight up said they have enough, now, to pursue criminal chargers.

In all reality, there's like 10 different things at least you could charge Trump with at this point, and it's been directly said if he were an "average" citizen, he'd probably be behind bars now for his crimes. But for a country founded on the idea of throwing off kings and monarchies, the US ironically seems to like to treat the office of the Executive as almost holy.

Throw it on the piles of the endless reason the US is fucked.

I assume right-wing trolling. No one would willingly live in AL over NY for any sane reason. Hell, parts of non-NYC are like the South anyways. It'd be cooler if people stated reasons why.

That said:
