Kind of a quintessential Genesis game, IMO.
Finding the kids was actually kind of tiresome and boring, but at least it has a great soundtrack.

They have no exit strategy, but you can tell what'll happen from the GOP debates. They'll throw some obviously racist candidates, some (not so) subtly racist candidates, some wackos, and some completely shitty "moderates" at the wall and see what sticks. Unfortunately, it looks like Trump-ish racism is here to stay in some forms, especially surrounding local levels. Regional politicians will vary as they always have.

But we're really fucked as a country.

That's partially why I was somewhat supportive of "Dexit," though DLC and updates invalidated any advantage that it conferred. The intense limitations in BDSP were also pretty interesting, though those games had their own problems.
Yeah, especially with all the controversy surrounding hackers being DQ'd at VGC, we need a basic simulator type game. Lay down the ground rules and let players play within that framework instead of requiring them to bend to an increasingly costly barrier of entry.

I regrettably supported trump, but only until about 2017. I thought that a political outsider might represent us better (largely why I voted for Obama in 08 and 12), but quickly learned that I was wrong. Im also far from the only person who made that mistake.

Once again, you just wrongfully accused me of supporting him during the pandemic and the fucking insurrection, so like I said, get your shit straight before you say something, or otherwise dont say it as a fact.
Giving you a huge heaping of goodwill that's not deserved, if you're politically illiterate enough to vote Trump in 2016, what makes you think you know enough to comment on current candidates?

There's multiple reasons why someone might not be able to get it themselves, they might not be able to drive or are disabled and have no way to go get the food or go the store or they might only have enough to cover the food and the fees. There's many reasons why someone can't go get it themselves or can't tip.

Don't assume people are just lazy
Why's this disingenuous BS always come back? There's services for people who are disabled, public transit/walking for people who can't drive. If you can afford paying $10 for a single $5 latte at Starbucks, you can afford to tip.

99% of people on DoorDash are just lazy. To be generous, "they're paying for the convenience of not picking up their own food." But it's more likely they want to sit home playing video games, hanging with family, or watching Netflix. Nothing wrong with that, but that doesn't ENTITLE you to these drivers' labor.

You're not making some grand statement by not tipping. Talk to your representative in government if you want to address the problem. But saving $5 on delivery doesn't make you a good person. Don't like to tip? Don't use the app.

Oh look, it's the tipping topic.

How entitled do you have to be to complain about contractors looking to get some money for a service that is 99% convenience? DoorDash could charge $1000 per order and it'd still get customers complaining, "Ugg, I can't believe these prices I have to pay."
Don't like it? Don't use it!

A lot of delivery drivers would struggle to get any other job, often because they can't speak English or the odd hours worked. If you have money to be LAZY and order DoorDash, you have money to tip well. And if you don't want to tip, those orders will get left waiting all day. Either get out of your house and pick up your fast food yourself, or shut up and tip. You don't need DoorDash, you don't need McDonald's, it's all convenience and if you have time to complain about it you are incredibly entitled.

It's not really that simple, since that's assuming you literally just get home and can immediately do whatever, and then just magically poof into bed ready to sleep at 11.
I agree, generally, was just laying down the math. If you want to get stuff done, you have 5 hours a day to do it, for better or worse. Cooking, cleaning, doctors' appointments, bank errands, etc. And that's assuming you can wake up, brush teeth, maybe shower, and eat breakfast in 30 minutes while you make the train.

But, still, she could probably go out to dinner with someone after work. Read on the train. Get groceries on her way home. It's a grind, but that's just the math. Personally I always prefer 4 10's partially because it's less commute time overall.

But she's right that a 1 hour commute absolutely sucks and anyone criticizing her is a dumbass. Do YOU really want to waste 2+ hours of your day, everyday, for no good reason? I was thinking of making this topic earlier this week.

CV3, by a decent margin. It's got a good difficulty curve, multiple playstyles, great replayability, and some of the coolest characters.

Rondo of Blood would probably come second. Great music and good gameplay with lots of variety. Just one of the most solid classic Castlevania games.

Hot take time, SC4 is a glorified tech demo. A very pretty tech demo, but a tech demo nonetheless. Generally too easy, with most of the difficulty coming from some janky jumps in a game that otherwise feels nice to jump in. The whip is just overpowered, for once. Using your whip to hang on handles almost always feels like a gimmick, not a feature. Great music, of course.

-There are issues with latency
-When you access your stash, your loading every players stash who are currently accessing their stash
-Resistances have been busted since the game launched, as in they aren't working. They said they were going to fix it in season 2, but I've yet to see any notes about it whatsoever
-Lack of end game content. They have over 100 dungeons, but only 20 or so bosses. Essentially they made a game that is 3x the size it should be for the amount of mobs/bosses there are currently in the game

Lets just say there are better options coming up in the next year with Titan Quest 2, as well as Path of Exile 2. Both cheaper and ran by developers that actually care about the way their game looks.
  • Haven't really had latency issues.
  • Yeah, they're engineering still sucks. They're (probably) working on it, but until then still shitty camera and no stash room. They did make some changes so fewer things take up inventory.
  • Resistances and Armor have been reworked. Res now scales additively with itself up to a 70% cap, with certain items that can raise the cap and higher difficulties lowering your resistance effectively further raising it. This should make resistance super valuable up to ~120%. They said the budget is balanced such that you'll want resistance items, but should get enough naturally to hit the cap by the time you're level 100. They also drastically increased monster density.
  • They added 5 more super bosses with unique loot pools and increased the value of non- nightmare dungeon activities.
The skill trees still suck, but skill points on gear are relatively much better. Crit and Vuln damage on gear is now additive, making other stats better. There should be more gear to chase.
But the stats themselves are still bland, the camera too close (my big bugbear), and there's still no enough content even though there's much more. Season 3 will add leaderboards, whatever that means, which might make for a reason to actually play the game.

Priere posted...
Didnt read the patch notes yet, but the only thing that would really draw me back in is the ability to skip to level 50 (for free).

Rebuilding a seasonal character is such a slog for those first 50 levels were the real game opens up.
That's weird. For most people, 1-50 is the only good part of the game so far.
But they did reduce overall leveling time by ~40%. There's also common world events that are actually fun and greatly help leveling 1-70.

Oh, and she's also bad in a meta sense.

Should've at least cited Syuen, who most of the community either likes to hate or outright likes, since she's self-serving and petty as fuck, but ultimately still an ally.
Crow hates the Ark for oppressing Nikkes and the Outer Rim and is actually just a terrorist. Like the taliban used to be considered freedom fighters. She does bad things, she's a villain, but her cause is to gain recognition of Nikke problems. The Ark isn't going to recognize her if she doesn't actually pose a threat to them. And as far as she's concerned, the whole Ark is the enemy.
But, yeah, people have no issues identifying with Walter White and justifying his actions.

Syuen is actually just a bad person. She only cares about herself and would put everyone in danger to make a buck. She's only an ally because it gives her power.
