If I see a snake in the wild and I'm certain it isn't venomous I will try to catch it. And if a spider is somewhere it's not supposed to be (like my bed) I'll pick it up and move it to a safer location. I like having spiders around since they kill annoying bugs for me. Also I've heard stories about snakes crawling up draining pipes and show up inside toilet bowls, so that's fun Snakes on a Plane warned us this could happen --- I don't kill... but I don't lose either. |

So long as they keep moving forward and try not to reference RoS too much I think it'll be good. I want to believe they've learned their lesson by now but we shall see... It'd be nice if they could get Kylo Ren back in some capacity as well, maybe a clone. Ahsoka looks good, I'm hyped for it. Although I wish they'd remember that dark siders usually have some form of disfigurement. Get some mechanical facial features up in here! --- I don't kill... but I don't lose either. |

I was at the botanical garden last year during their mating season and I did have to step up to one who was chasing some lady. It backed off immediately. Later on there was one just waddling along a thin trail, I walked up behind and said "excuse me buddy" and it kindly moved to the side and let me pass. I looked back and told it to gave a good day. Geese are awesome tbh --- I don't kill... but I don't lose either. |

No it's just because I remember when it was a new thing, and it was a stigmatism. Then suddenly it was a real and true way to find the love of your life. But apparently that was a short lived window bc corporate greed (ruining the world two steps at a time mirite). TomNook posted... Don't fall into the trap that you have to date or be in a relationship to be happy. That life isn't for everyone, but many people think their life success is measured in things like that, and they get depressed when they don't accomplish something they feel they are supposed to. If you are really craving companionship, then go for it. But if you just feel like you aren't "where you are supposed to be at this point in your life", re-evaluate why you care in the first place, and don't let the lifestyle that others have chosen for themselves influence you. This is a great post. It doesn't apply to me specifically but more people need to realize this fact. I would much rather die alone than end up with someone I don't belong with and I feel most people have that backwards. MoogleKupo141 posted... is Eharmony not like a Christian thing? I've heard enough stories about people finding their "soulmate" on a dating site by now that I'm thinking it might be my best option. Especially considering that I don't care for most people... I'm not at all comfortable with it which is why I'm making this topic against my better judgement. I'd rather not have to ask board 8 for dating advice, but I don't know what else to do anymore. Anyway my main issue right now is that I tried out eharmony and their basic plan is ~$50 a month, and it's a six month plan? Should I be expecting it to take that long to find someone? It just seems weird to me. Granted I'm sure I could cancel but I would just prefer something that has a monthly plan I guess. I dunno I'm dumb and don't know how to approach this at all halp --- I don't kill... but I don't lose either. |

| CassandraCain 03/01/23 5:57:46 AM #20 | I will echo the Mistborn rec, along with Stormlight Archive. It's now my favorite series of all time (the entire cosmere is incredible). For something on the shorter side, I recently read through Mage Errant. Took only a couple weeks to finish the current six books with one more on the way. Story involves young mages in a very imaginitive world where magic is incorporated in all of their technology. It uses pretty much any fantasy trope you can think of but with interesting and unique spins on all of it. The characters are all wonderfully written as well, and the protagonist starts out as an anti-social hermit which is something I related to lol. --- I don't kill... but I don't lose either. |

Thankfully the temp is back up to around 40 degrees and it's sunny so I'm not too worried about him being cold. I was definitely concerned about him not eating so I went to get some food for him. No surprise he ran away the instant I opened the door, but I left the food and some water out as well as an extra little bed for him. He came back once already so I can only hope he'll be back again! --- I don't kill... but I don't lose either. |

So I took a chance and grabbed a blanket, but of course he bolted immediately once I opened the door. Still laid the blanket on the chair though, and I just peeked out to see he's back and seems to be sleeping a bit more comfortably. Sadly I don't have any food to leave for him and stores are all closed today. And I doubt I'd be able to coerce him to come inside, he'll just run the moment he hears me.
