You calm yourself down, so as not to alert Raven to anything. You also notice Argent ranks about halfway between Jinx and Raven, in terms of bosoms. Wait, no, that's not what you should be thinking about! Did you get the earlier pic? Here's more~You huff through your nostrils at her mischievous teasing. You delete the text and then look through your contacts for where she put her information. You then have your phone call her, and you continue brushing your teeth as you listen to the tone. *brrrrt* *brsh brsh brsh* *brrrrt* *brsh brsh brsh brsh* *brrrrt* *click* "Hey~," Jinx answers. "Was wondering when I'd hear from-" *spit* "Stop sending me pictures like that," you say sternly. "Well at least we know he opened them," Jinx says to someone else. "Hey, Limey," Argent says playfully; Jinx has this on speaker phone apparently. "Are you saying you didn't like my melons?" The two of them laugh as you grumble. You finish up with brushing your teeth before speaking again. "I'm being serious here," you say. "For starters, Jinx, I can't believe you obtained my contact info and put in your own, on your own, behind my back. I have half a mind to block you." "No, don't do that!" she says. "Then stop, sending, these kinds of pictures," you say, almost growling. "Such a party pooper," Jinx says, the pouting clear in her voice. "What a waste," Argent says, also sounding pouty. "I know," Jinx says. "We go out of our way to be sexy-" "I didn't ask you to," you say quickly and just as sternly. "Just stop using me as some sort of outlet for your lewd urges. Good night." You hang up before they can speak up. You turn your phone off for the night, then go back to the main room. "Who were you speaking to?" Raven asks as you walk to your bed. "Don't, don't worry about," you say. "Did they cover Hawaii yet?" "Yes," she says. "We'll have clear skies for our time there as well." "Good," you say as you finally take off your shoes. She laughs again as she reenters the bathroom. You watch the weather channel, and it moves from the West Coast to the Western mosts part of Canada and some of Alaska. It'll still be a few minutes before they cover Hawaii. "All done," Raven says as she returns. You take out your toiletries and go to the bathroom now. The smell has vanished, you turn off the ventilator, and brush your teeth. "They're getting close to Hawaii," she says. *brrr* Your phone vibrates again. You take it out and see it's Jinx again. You remember the lewd picture incident from this morning, and realize you didn't take the time to respond. And you can't respond to this text without opening it. She closes the door while you turn on the television, and you see the news discussing weather. "Oh good, it looks like tomorrow will be bright and sunny again," you say. "We'll have clear skies for our flight out." You then think about weather in Hawaii. The news won't have this so you go looking through the cable guide to see if they have a weather channel. Thankfully they do. You sit and watch as it scrolls through locations. However, they've only just started the Eastern Seaboard for America, so it's going to be some time before it gets to Hawaii... As you sit and watch the coverage move through into America's Central Timezone, you feel a rumble in your stomach and a pressure building very quickly down below. "Oh," you say. "Oh no." You get up quickly and go to the bathroom door, and knock on the door rapidly. "Raven, I... I need the bathroom." "Hm?!" she says; you hear her spit, obviously to spit toothpaste foam into the sink. "I thought you said I could go first." "I know, but," you say, fighting against the stomach pain, "I suddenly need the bathroom now." "Can you hold it?" she asks. "Not for much longer," you grunt. She opens the door, you barge in, see the toilet is around the sink and near the tub, putting Raven in your way. "Rorek, wai--" "I'm sorry, I just-" "Hold on, let me-" "Um, maybe-" You and Raven awkwardly try to move out of each other's way but just end up in each other's way. Raven presses up against the sink, you slip past to get to the toilet, she quickly gets out and closes the door behind her while you drop your pants and sit on the toilet. "Make sure to pay attention to the weather channel," you say, transitioning into a grunt. "Um, okay..." she says through the door. You simultaneously regret and welcome what is happening. You regret the sounds and the smell, but you welcome this relief inside your body. You flush, wipe, et cetera before standing up with tired legs to go to the sink and wash your hands. You look around for anything to get rid of the smell, but the motel does not come equipped with air freshener. You see a second switch on the wall and flip it. *rvvvvvvvvvvv* A sound comes from a vent, and you imagine that's a vacuum to bring out such things as stinky air. You open the door again and turn off the light. "I'd let that air out for a moment," you say as you return to your bed. "What's that noise?" Raven asks. "A ventilator, I believe," you say. "Are they not to Hawaii yet?" "You were only in there about ten minutes," she says. "Really? Felt like longer..." You sit down and watch as the weather coverage reaches the West Coast, which you already saw part of in the local news. Raven stands back up and tentatively walks over to the bathroom. "Hwoo," she says. "That's still pretty strong even with the ventilator." You two look at each other, and she builds up to laughter. You and Raven retrace the way out while Lilah has a bus boy take care of the table while she takes care of the bill at the front register. You return to Shadowfax, you and Raven put on helmets and turn on Shadowfax's light, and you make your way back to the motel. You move down the main road among the other vehicles, and you realize it's been awhile since you've been on a night ride. The brightness of the lights standing out in the dark is eerie, you are extra careful as you change lanes. The level of activity in traffic doesn't help, you didn't think Coast City would be so lively. You return to the motel, pull in and back into Room 13's spot, you turn off Shadowfax's light and engine before having him stand. You and Raven return upstairs and you unlock the room, turn on the lights, and then close the door behind you before flopping down onto your bed. "If we're going to get up early enough to be at Ferris Air by 8," she says, "we should probably start preparing for bed. Do you mind if I go first?" You save your fries for last and mop up as much of the ketchup you squirted on your plate as you can. "How was everything?" Lilah asks as she returns. "Excellent," you say. "Good to hear," she smiles as she collects your plates. "Are we staying for dessert?" "Yes, we'd like one Brownie Overboard." "I'll bring that when it is ready," Lilah says. "Would you also like the check?" "Yes, please." "I'll be right back with both of those," she says before heading off to the kitchen again. You and Raven sit quietly again as everything goes on around you. The sun has fully set and now all you can really see outside is the lights of the cars passing in the night. You and Raven look into each other's eyes as you both smile softly. "Here you are," Lilah says as she returns. "The Brownie Overboard, and your check." Lilah sets the thick square of chocolate brownie with the large scoop of ice cream melting on top with all the other ingredients, and then the black leather folder beside it. You take the folder while Raven picks up a spoon, she digs in as you check the bill. $78.73That seems reasonable enough. You bring out $95, the extra $17 earmarked for Lilah's tip. You set the bill down and pick up a spoon to start in on the brownie with Raven. You enjoy the pecans being crunchy and salty inside the cold, sweet vanilla cream as well as the bit of caramel and fudge syrups. "Delicious," you say. "Mhm," Raven nods and smiles. You wrap the cracker around the shell and squeeze, the crab shell gives way with a gentle *crk* You then use your smaller fork to slip off part of the shell, then suck the meat out from the leg. "Mmm, very good," you say. "Tender and a little salty, but it all came out together." You sip your smoothie to wash it down, then go to the corn. You take a bite and enjoy the juice that comes out from each kernal, and the sweetness of the corn itself. You take your napkin and wipe excess juice from your lips and chin. You suck on your teeth to make sure there isn't any bit of corn stuck between them, find none, and continue. "How are each of your types of shrimp?" you ask. "Good," she says. "The coconut shrimp are nice, crisp and crunchy, and the breading is nice, too, the coconut is noticeable but not overpowering, which is good because I'm not that into coconut really. The fried shrimp and popcorn shrimp are nice, too, but I feel like the only difference is the size of pieces. Not to say that's bad, the popcorn concentrates the breading." I'm staring at the "name input" screen of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, wondering if folks truly need an me-quality guide for this game. I know ZeldaDungeon.net has a good guide, but...I truly believe I can do better. I write guides for two reasons: to help others, and to give myself inner purpose. yeah Pokemon is always a daunting task, even just to play without making a walkthrough. Raven takes one fried shrimp and dips it into the mustard-lime sauce, then takes a bite, and her smile brightens as she tastes it. "Wow, I really like the sweet tangy combination there," she says. She then dips another one in the cocktail sauce and takes a bite. "Mm!" she says as she chews. "This is good, too. It's sweet and tangy like the mustard-lime sauce, but in a different way. The mustard-lime, that has more tang, this has more of the sweet because of the ketchup and chili sauce." "Yes, I imagine Father will have shrimp cocktails available at the party, he's rather fond of shrimp as well as the cocktail sauce." "Isn't the shrimp usually served cold for that?" she asks. "Yes, but it's not raw. The shrimp is cleaned and boiled so that it's cooked, but it is usually chilled since it isn't served right away." "Oh okay," she says as she samples the tartar sauce. "Here you are," Lilah says as she returns. "Refilled lemonade, strawberry smoothie, and the snow crab legs with fries and corn cobette. Sorry for that, this is more than our usual Monday crowd." "It's alright," you say. "Thank you for the refill." "You're welcome," she says. "If you need anything else, don't hesitate to flag me down." Lilah heads off to one of her other tables, you take the ketchup bottle on the table and squirt ketchup into a dipping pool. You take a random fry and dip, enjoying the sweet ketchup and salty potato together as one. You grab the cluster of crab legs, and realize the crab legs didn't come with a shell cracker. "So you're ready to order?" Lilah asks, slightly surprising Raven. "Oh, um," she stutters. "Did you see her walking up?" "Maybe," you say as you look back at your menu. "Go ahead and tell her your order." Raven gives you a halfway sneering smirk. "I'll have the Shrimp Your Way," she tells Lilah. "The fried shrimp and popcorn shrimp." "Oh, you can do a combination of three, as part of our Monday special," Lilah says. "Oh," Raven says. "Um... Then... The coconut shrimp bites." "What kind of salad would you like? Garden? Caeser?" "Uh... Garden. With Thousand Island dressing." "And for your side?" "Um... French fries." "Okay," Lilah says as she writes that up. "And I believe you said you wanted the snow crab legs?" "Yes," you say. "What salad?" "Garden, also with Thousand Island." "And you have your choice of two sides," Lilah says. "French fries, and a sweet corn cobette," you say. "Okay," Lilah says as she finishes writing that. "I'll be back with those as they're ready." "Thank you," you say. Lilah heads off while you and Raven keep munching on the appetizers. You have the last chicken wing while Raven has the last mozzarella stick. In fact, that might have been her only one. You two quietly sip your drinks, the spicy hotwings used up quite a bit of your smoothie and Raven's lemonade. A family of almost ten people is placed at the tables in the middle of the room, putting two tables together and borrowing chairs from empty tables. They sit down so that the children are on one end and the parents are on the other. "Mommy," one of the youngest children says. "Why's that girl wearing a cloak?" "Don't just say things out loud," the mother scolds in a not-so-quiet whisper. Raven looks out the window, looking a bit mortified. "I knew I should've changed clothes at the motel..." she mutters. "It's alright," you say comfortingly. You and Raven quietly watch the night creep in and the restaurant become more populated as the dinner rush arrives. Lilah takes the orders for the newcomers that sit in the window area. She goes to the kitchen, and brings drinks to the other customers. She disappears to the kitchen again, then returns with a tray of food and heads for you. "Here you are," she says. "Sorry for the delay." "Not a problem," you say. "You each ordered Garden Salad, right?" she asks. "Yes," Raven says as she is handed hers. "The snow crab legs will take a bit longer," Lilah says as she hands you your salad, "but here is your shrimp platter." "Thank you," Raven says as she is handed her plate, complete with french fries and cups of dipping sauces. "I'll take these back with me," Lilah says as she picks up the appetizer plates.
