However, when Loomis looks out into the backyard, Michael is again gone, and as Laurie returns to crying, the iconic theme music plays again. For just as Laurie and Tommy talked about before, the Bogeyman cannot die. The camera cuts through several shots of the darkened home, as well as all the homes Michael took a life in, and the heavy breathing of Michael behind his mask echoes through the night.

Halloween

Credits roll.

"Finally," you say, sighing in relief. "Time for bed."

"Wait," Raven says. "What about breakfast in the morning? Are we going to have time before our flight?"

Laurie gets desperate again, so she throws a potted plant at the top floor of the house! The lights turn on, Tommy sees Laurie and heads downstairs, but she wants him to hurry! Tommy opens the door, Laurie gets in quickly and shuts the door, locking it behind her. Tommy is getting scared, Laurie shouts for him to get upstairs, he obeys. Laurie goes to the phone, but the line was cut. And with a back door open, Michael might have already gotten inside the house...

Laurie hunkers down at the living room couch and by her purse.

"Please stop, please," she pleads as she grabs a knitting needle.

Michael pops up from behind the couch and takes a stab at her! She narrowly avoids it, and manages to stick him with the knitting needle in the neck! He staggers back and pulls the needle out, but he then collapses. Laurie, sobbing and crying, pulls herself up. Armed with the long kitchen knife, she peers over the couch, and Michael is down, possibly dead. She relaxes, looks at the knife, and tosses it down on the floor.

Dr. Loomis walks the streets, Sheriff Brackett returns via squad car. Loomis explains Michael is nearby, so they both keep searching. Back to Laurie, she gets herself upstairs and checks on the kids. They open the door and they all hug to comfort each other. Laurie says she's going to take a walk, the children are scared but she assures them there's nothing to be scared of. The Bogeyman won't come for them, he's dead. But just as Tommy says you can't kill the Bogeyman, Michael stomps up the stairs!!

Laurie has the children lock themselves up in the bathroom while she hurries through a bedroom. She gets to balcony doors and opens them, but she instead goes to the closet and hides in there. Michael lumbers down the hall while Laurie secures the closet door from the inside by tying pullstrings around the knob.

Michael arrives in the bedroom, he shakes the closet door, having seen through her trick. The doors won't open, so he punches through them! He ends up turning on the lightbulb inside the closet but he still can't get in. He breaks down more of the door, Laurie is incredibly scared as she presses up against the walls of the closet. She hurries to make an old wire coat hanger into a weapon. Michael is almost all the way in the closet when she jabs him in the eye with the hanger. Michael staggers back again, dropping the knife. Laurie grabs it and stabs Michael! He goes down again, but she keeps hold of the knife this time as she gets up to check.

Michael is down again, Laurie comes out of the closet, she keeps her eyes right on him as she again drops the knife.

"You fool," you say as Laurie limps away.

Laurie checks on the kids again, and she tells them both to go downstairs, to the other house across the street, and get someone to call the police. The kids go as instructed, Laurie rests, but Michael sits up!!

"See?!" you say, getting Raven to laugh.

Tommy and Lindsey run out of the house shouting, Loomis arrives, he has an inkling of what's going on. Laurie stands up, so does Michael... He lumbers over to her, and without being aware of his presence, Laurie walks down the hall. Michael grabs her from behind, turns her around, and tries to strangle her! Loomis gets up the stairs, Laurie grabs the mask off Michael's face, and while Michael is busy putting it back on, Loomis shoots Michael! Michael snaps backward into the bedroom, Loomis keeps after him, and *bang bang bang* keeps shooting the embodiment of evil! He keeps shooting until Michael tumbles over the balcony railing and falls into the backyard.

Laurie, having calmed down enough to speak, asks "Was that the Bogeyman?"

"As a matter of fact, it was," Loomis replies.

"Alright, but you'll owe me even more," you say.

"Like what...?" she asks with a dubious look.

"I'll decide that when the moment arrives," you say.

Raven still looks dubious, moving into concerned. You just look back at the television to watch the movie.

The door to the bedroom opens, a bedsheet with glasses stands there. Lynda thinks it's Mark, but it's just Michael in disguise to trick her. Lynda drops the bedsheet to show her boobs, and asks with a grin "See anything you like?"

His silence confuses her, she calls Laurie. However, Michael uses the phone cord to choke her! Laurie hears this, but mistakes Lynda's gasping for sex, thinking this is them teasing her. Michael has killed Lynda, Laurie hangs up and wonders what is going on across the street. She calls them back, the phone can be heard ringing, but the fact it isn't being answered worries her. Laurie goes upstairs and checks on Tommy and Lindsey, they're sound asleep in the beds.

Returning to the Myers home, Loomis finally spots the stolen station wagon Michael took from them. He runs over to it, the seal on the side proves it. But obviously Michael isn't in it, so Loomis heads off to search. Back to Laurie, she goes back downstairs, goes to her purse and pulls out keys. She goes outside and across the street. She walks up to the Wallace house as the creepy music returns. The Wallace house has no lights on, but has a Jack O'Lantern on the porch. She walks up to the door, knocks and calls for Annie and Lynda. No one responds. She moves around the side, still calling for her friends. And she finds the back door open. She enters, she calls but no one responds. Mark is no longer pinned to the wall.

Laurie keeps going through the house, expecting a jump scare prank around the corner. But no one is there. Even so, she still thinks this is her friends playing with her. She demands they come out. They don't so she goes upstairs to look for them. The only light upstairs is peeking through a door that is barely open a crack. So naturally, she goes closer. That's where Michael has staged Annie on the bed as his dead sister, Judith, with the headstone above her. Laurie staggers from this horrifying sight, but then Mark's dead body is swung down from inside the closet! Laurie screams as she gets to the other side of the room. But then another door opens and Laurie sees Lynda's dead body!

"Oh I am definitely milking our deal for all it's worth," you mutter.

"Milking?" Raven says, looking flustered and frightened.

"What? No, I said milking our deal."

"Oh..."

Raven blushes, probably from embarrassment for thinking you were suggesting something else, and you feel equally awkward.

Laurie runs out of the room and panics on what to do. She cries to herself in a corner, Michael is visible in the shadows! He stabs at her, but only grazes her arm, she freaks out and falls over the banister! She hits the stairs below, banging up her legs. Michael stalks down the stairs, Laurie forces herself to get up and hurry to the front door. The door won't open, so she hurries to the kitchen. She closes the kitchen door behind her, then hurries to the back door, but that won't open because there's a rake jamming it from the outside! And Michael is hacking his way through the kitchen door!

Michael enters the kitchen, so out of desperation, Laurie smashes the glass of the back door and pushes the rake away. She hurries out and screams for help from anyone! However, per horror movie tropes, she stumbles on the grass lawn and scurries to the next house. She screams for help, but no one is around! She hurries back to the Doyle house and hurries to grab her keys, but she sees Michael making his way over. She instead just bangs her hand on the door and screams for Tommy to open the door!

She is back on your bed and pulls on your arm to pull you up. You concede and sit up, facing the television. She returns to her bed and as the children keep watching some sort of sci-fi movie with a UFO, Tommy slips away to hide behind the curtains to pull a little prank on Lindsey. But that's when Tommy sees Michael carrying away Annie's dead body! Bumping into Lindsey scares him, and he rants and raves about the Bogeyman! It scares Lindsey, but Laurie still refuses to believe. Tommy pouts about it, but Lindsey says she believes him. Things calm down, Laurie going back to the kitchen while the kids return to watching TV.

Back at the Myers house, Loomis still keeping watch. Richie and his bully friends come walking by, claiming they're not afraid of the spooky house. Richie is dared to go in, so he goes up to the door. Loomis puts on a scary voice from behind the bush to scare the kids away. But then, Loomis himself gets spooked when someone puts a hand on his shoulder. Thankfully, it is only Sheriff Brackett. Brackett reports that the worst his officers have found is kids pulling pranks and getting high. Loomis is still adamant that Michael is lurking, but Brackett it'll need more than that to convince officers to stay up late. Loomis is more than convinced that with the way Michael stared blankly at a wall, through that wall, seeing this town, he has to have come back.

"Death has come to your little town, Sheriff," Loomis tells Brackett, "without knowing it, without any way to stop it."

Brackett shrugs that off as "more fancy talk". But if Loomis is right, then damn him for letting Michael escape.

Lynda and her boyfriend arrive at the Wallace home, drinking beers despite being underage. He playfully carries her to the door, they go inside and it's dark with the lights out. Lynda calls for Annie, she turns on the lights, no one is around. They make out on the couch, Michael is watching.

Laurie and the kids have finished the Jack O'Lantern, Laurie looks over at the other house, and with the lights off, she just assumes "everybody is having a good time." Laurie and the kids return to the television to watch the rest of the movie, but that's when the phone rings. Laurie answers, it's Lynda from across the street. Lynda asks about Annie, Laurie says Annie should be with them. She isn't, so Laurie assumes Annie and Paul went somewhere else for a moment. They hang up, turn off the lights, and have sex in someone's room upstairs. The phone rings, they discuss answering, but it stops ringing before they decide. So they return to sex. Which would be fine, if not for Michael's shadow creeping across the room!

The couple finishes, the boyfriend excuses himself, the camera keeps with him as he goes to the kitchen, he gets himself a drink, but he notices the back door is open. He calls if Annie is out there, or maybe Paul, as some sort of prank. But it's MICHAEL! Michael uses freakish strength to lift the young man up as he strangles him! And then, with one stab of the kitchen knife, Mark is dead. The knife even keeps Mark pinned to the wall.

"Okay, time for bed," you say, reaching for the lamp.

"No, it's almost over, I swear," she says. "Just a little longer."

You grumble and consider options.

A) Go to bed
B) Stay up
C) Stay up, but add to what she owes you

"Fine..." you grumble. "I'll stay up with you, and keep watching."

You may be reluctant to do this, but seeing Raven smile eases some of your dread. Even as the movie shows that Laurie and Tommy are watching a different horror movie, "The Thing". Tommy asks about doing a Jack O'Lantern, Laurie agrees. And more comic books? After the Jack O'Lantern. And the Bogeyman? That's not real. But Richie said- does he believe everything Richie says? Halloween is for tricks, make-believe. But Tommy saw the Bogeyman outside. There wasn't anyone out there. There was. Laurie tells Tommy that the Bogeyman is said to only be on Halloween, and Laurie is babysitting him tonight, so she won't let anything happen to her. Promise? Promise. Time for the Jack O'Lantern.

Meanwhile, Annie is taking her clothes out to the laundry room, which is across the backyard. She wants to turn the light on but the bulb is burnt out. She works to start laundry in the dark, the wind causes the door to close, which slightly startles her. She calms down and looks away, but Michael appears by the door! She calls "Who's there?" She thinks it's a prank, but Michael has disappeared. She starts the washer, the wind shuts the door on her, and it is stuck in the frame. That means she's stuck in the laundry room. Lindsey still can't hear anything, she too is watching The Thing. Not even the phone gets her to react. Annie decides to climb out of the back window of the shed.

Lindsey finally answers the phone, Annie's boyfriend Paul answers, Lindsey explains about Annie's clothes, Paul just wants Lindsey to tell Annie he called. Lindsey gets up to tell Annie, finally opening the front door to the laundry room. It was locked for some reason. Annie meanwhile is stuck so Lindsey helps pull her back in. The two return to the house, the phone ringing again. It's Paul again. Paul says his parents left the house and wonders if she'll come over. Michael is peering in through the door! Annie says she can't come over, her clothes are washing. They tease each other for making the situation sexual, like that's all they think about each other.

After finishing her conversation with Paul, Annie tells Lindsey they have to go get Paul. Lindsey wants to stay and watch the movie. Annie persuades Lindsey that she can watch TV at Tommy Doyle's house, so Lindsey accepts the terms. The two hurry over across the street, but Michael is still around. Annie and Lindsey are let into the Doyle house, the kids watch TV together while Annie finds Laurie. Laurie wants Annie to reconsider the matchmaking, Annie won't, and leaves it on Laurie to sort it out while she goes to Paul's. If Laurie takes care of both children, Annie might call it off. The deal is made, Annie goes back across the street.

Annie returns, the car is locked and she needs her keys. That means hurrying over to her house, with some time to spruce up, then going back. However, the door is unlocked? She didn't use the key. Annie doesn't seem to think much at all as she sits in her car. Though she does notice the windows are already steamed up despite her being the only one in the car. Because she's NOT the only one in the car, Michael strikes by wrapping an arm around her throat to choke her, then as she struggles, honking the horn, he quickly slashes her throat, and she dies falling against the horn.

"Okay... I'm good now," you say, slowly turning and lowering to the pillow.

"No, no," Raven says. "You said you were going to stay up with me. You're staying up."

As for Michael, he is sniffed out by Lester! Annie complains about the barking, but then it suddenly stops with a whimper. Annie again thinks nothing of it, but it's because Michael KILLED THE DOG!

"Noooo...!" you say, even though it's all a movie. "Okay, I'm done. You can keep watching but I'm going to sleep."

"What?" she says. "C'mon, stay up. I'll feel weird watching with you asleep in the next bed."

"Well... Alright, I'll take the deal," you say. "But I'm holding you to it. Iron clad verbal contract, no backing out."

"I promise," she says.

"Okay," you nod.

But then to your surprise, Raven goes back to her bed.

"What're you doing?" you ask with a pout.

"I'm forcing you to stay honest to our deal," she says as she slides her legs under the covers. "You stay over there, I stay over here."

You pout as you go back to watching the movie.

By now, Dr. Loomis and Sheriff Brackett have arrived at the old Myers home. Boarded up and worn down with age, the two men enter through the front door, which has been broken into. They walk in and spot something. Though not shown, it is a dead dog. Still warm, so the kill is fresh. The fact it's inside the home at all is proof enough that Michael truly returned home. They go upstairs, to Judith's room, where Michael killed her at the start of the movie. One of the windows is open, Loomis reasons out that Michael was likely spying at the neighborhood from up there.

*SMASH* A gutter crashes through the other window, and just as Loomis reacts in panic, you feel your own heart.

Raven giggles, you slump down and grumble.

"Maybe I should've stayed over there," she says as she still giggles.

"Yeah maybe," you tease.

You and Raven share a laugh. Loomis tries to make it clear to Brackett that the reason he's so scared is because he knows Michael.

"I spent eight years trying to reach him," Loomis says, "and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply evil."

However, knowing that Michael has already been to his childhood home, they shall wait for him to return again. Loomis doesn't want Brackett to alert media, it will only cause panic and he'll be harder to fine. Just tell the officers be on the look-out but "keep their mouths shut and their eyes open." Brackett leaves to put in the call, Loomis stays upstairs.

As for Laurie, she reads a bedtime story to Tommy, who gets bored of it. He wants her to read from his secret stash of comics, which he keeps secret because his mother disapproves.

"Laser Man," Laurie reads as she sees the titles. "Neutron Man. I can understand why. Tarantula Man."

"Laurie," Tommy asks. "What's 'The Bogeyman'?"

The phone rings and Laurie answers. Annie is on the other end, she's babysitting the Wallace kids across the way and making popcorn. However, the Wallace family German Shepherd comes into the room and barks at something. Annie jokes as always, then shouts for young Lindsey to get Lester the dog out of the kitchen. Lindsey can't hear, too busy watching a movie. The reason the dog is barking so aggressively is because it senses Michael's evil outside. Michael moves away, the dog leaves the room, Annie jokes that the dog was barking because it dislikes her.

Annie continues to explain how the call is about setting Laurie up with her crush for the homecoming dance. Tommy, bored, looks out the window, and sees the scary silhouette of Michael. Tommy tries to tell Laurie about "The Bogeyman", but of course, he's gone before Laurie looks for herself. That's because Michael has gone around the back of the Wallace home and has visual confirmation of Annie, right as she makes a mess of her clothes top to bottom, and ends up taking it all off, back turned to camera. She clothes herself in a spare button-up, a potted plant falls, and Michael hurries away Annie looks outside. Annie thinks nothing of it, and continues working on dinner for herself and the television-entranced Lindsey.

As Raven watches Laurie and Annie drive on, you lean in close and rest your chin on her shoulder.

"Hey," she says scoldingly. "What're you doing? I told you not to try anything."

"I'm not, I'm just resting," you fib.

You can see Raven's distrusting smirk. You just let some time pass, the station wagon Michael is driving following Annie's car as they make the turn. Laurie still doesn't do well with that cigarette. However, it becomes an issue when they pull through town and a police car is on the corner. Annie tries to get Laurie to stop coughing, but the station wagon stops following for the time.

Annie pulls over as the officer on the scene is her father, they all say hello, you slide your hand stealthily behind Raven as Mr. Brackett explains there was a break-in at the department store. The only things stolen were a couple Halloween masks, some rope, and some knives. The girls move on, Dr. Loomis walks up and talks with Sheriff Brackett about the presence of Michael Myers. And this is as the station wagon passes by...

The girls talk about dating and boyfriends, neither of them notices the station wagon is following them again. The sun goes down by the time the girls arrive in the neighborhood. Kids go by for the trick-or-treating, and Michael stalks Laurie as she enters the Doyle's house to start the babysitting.

You get your hand around to Raven's other side, and gently set it down near her hip. If she has noticed, she doesn't react to it.

"Rorek, your chin is kinda digging into my shoulder," she says.

"Sorry," you say as you sit up, scooting closer.

"Why're you so close?" she chuckles. "Scoot back over."

"Don't you like being close to me?" you say, pretending to be upset.

"We're watching a movie," she says. "Then after that we'll be turning in so we can get up in time for the flight."

"True, but-"

"If you control yourself tonight," Raven says, putting her hand on your leg. "I... might make it up to you in Hawaii."

"Oh?" you say.

You are admittedly intrigued by what this could mean, or what you could get out of this.

"Will you sit with me then?" you ask.

"What?" she chuckles. "Seriously?"

You jokingly make puppy dog eyes.

"Oh alright," Raven says as she moves from her bed to yours. "Scoot over. And don't try anything."

"You know me too well," you say as you move over.

Raven sits down, having taken her cloak off and leaving it on her bed. Her bare legs stretch out on the bed, feet still in those blue ankle socks.

Back to the movie, Laurie apologizes for bumping into Mr. Brackett, he says it's fine, everything seems scarier on Halloween. Laurie continues on home and sees kids already dressed for trick-or-treating. She jokes with herself, she thought she "outgrew superstition." Laurie enters her house and goes to her room on the second floor, she looks out the window and sees Michael! But then, in an instant, he's gone.

Laurie is understandably scared, her phone rings and it slightly startles her, but she answers. The person on the phone just breathes heavy into it, so she hangs up on them. The phone rings again, she is wary as she answers it, it's just her friend Annie. Annie was just teasing with the previous call, and Laurie talks about seeing someone, Annie thinks she's just seeing things. They arrange to meet up at 6:30, then hang up. Laurie rests on her bed, trying to convince herself that she is seeing things.

Laurie goes out again later, carrying a big pumpkin. She waits at the corner for Annie, watches the kids go door to door for candy. Annie pulls up, Laurie hurries into the car, they head for Lynda's.

At this time, Dr. Loomis has arrived in town. He drives through a cemetery with the grounds keeper to find the plot of Judith Myers, Michael's sister and murder victim. The grounds keeper prattles on about another case where a man inexplicably snapped one night and--as can be inferred from the details given--used a hacksaw in a very gory way. The doctor cuts him off before the actual ending to that story is said, and gets the grounds keeper back to finding the grave.

They change course, come upon where Judith was bured, but find that the headstone is gone! The grounds keeper initially thinks it's a horrible prank by punk kids but after he and Loomis think it over, they both conclude Michael "came home".

Back to Laurie and Annie, they share a cigarette on the drive, Laurie tells Annie about the man watching her from the backyard. Laurie thought it was the neighbor, Mr. Rittle, but Annie even teases her about that. The camera looks through the rear window of Annie's car, and the station wagon returns...

Raven is once again giddy, as odd as that is, but you do find her curling her toes inside those socks adorable.

"No, I-I can handle this," you say. "I... can handle this."

In movie, it is now Halloween morning, in Haddonfield. And things return to the same suburb as Michael grew up in. A young woman--played by Jaime Lee Curtis--walks to school, and is joined by a younger boy on the way. They walk past a rundown home, the home that Michael's family left behind. She drops off the key that her father, a real estate agent, gave her, as the real estate agency wants to finally sell it. The young boy, Tommy, already knows the house's scary legend, and perspective from inside the house shows Michael has returned home! Tommy and Laurie (Jaime) part ways for school, she sings a song as Michael comes out to watch her.

Cut to the doctor from before, Dr. Sam Loomis, argues with the sanitarium manager about how Michael got free. Loomis insists everyone take this with more severity given who got out and where he's going. And for good reason, as we the audience already know he's there.

Laurie sits in class, sounds like English literature. She spots the station wagon Michael stole outside. She gets called upon and answers the question on "fate". When she looks back outside, the station wagon is gone. As for Tommy's school, it lets out and Tommy has a big pumpkin. He is teased by bullies about how "he's gonna get you", the "Bogeyman". He tells them to leave him alone, but they keep saying the Bogeyman is going to get him. They end up making Tommy fall and squashing his pumpkin. As the bullies leave Tommy, they bump into Michael...! Michael stays to watch Tommy, then goes to the stolen station wagon to keep up with him as he goes around a corner.

Dr. Loomis uses a payphone--a sign of the times--to tell the local sheriff that "he" is on his way. The police won't believe Loomis, but he insists it's true. "Because I know him. I'm his doctor. You must be ready for him. If you don't, it's your funeral." Loomis hangs up, then finds a lorry downed in a ditch. And discarded hospital robes. This explains where Michael got the dirty jumpsuit. What the doctor doesn't find that the camera makes clear, is the dead man in the bushes, meaning that Michael killed the man to get the clothes...

Classes let out for the high school, Laurie walks home with a cheerleader friend who complains about her busy day. Another friend catches up, she complains about her boyfriend trying to drag her into the boys' lockerroom just to make-out. Laurie realizes she forgot her chemistry book, her friends don't see the problem. That's when Laurie notices the station wagon returns and turns down the same street. She also gets worried about that car, her one friend shouts at the driver, "Hey, jerk! Speed kills." The car screeches to a halt.

"You fool," you say in a hushed voice.

"Can't take a joke?" the other friend mutters to Laurie.

The station wagon continues on, and the high school girls move on and coordinate their Halloween night plans. Lynda's boyfriend wants to hang out, Laurie is babysitting Tommy and his siblings, so they're going to combine those plans, Annie jokes to Laurie that she's stuck between "watch the kids sleep, listen to Lynda screw around or talk to you."

The girls continue walking, they don't realize the station wagon is still nearby. Lynda separates to go to her home. Laurie thinks she saw someone behind the bush up ahead, likely the driver they upset. Annie storms right over to flush him out, but he's already gone. But Annie jokes with Laurie that he's just shy and wants to ask her out. Laurie walks over and sees no one else is there, but swears she saw someone. Annie teases her about being single and lonely. Annie arrives home and breaks from Laurie, Laurie gets paranoid and looks around as she walks.

"Ah!" Laurie says as she bumps into someone!

It becomes clear from how the doctor speaks that the patient, Michael, is meant to be kept locked away as punishment for his murder 15 years ago, as well as for the safety of everyone. But they must take care of Michael "because that is the law." However, there is immediately a problem: the other patients are out wandering around!



The iconic music starts up again, another sign that something bad is about to happen. The doctor has the nurse stop the car, she thinks they should get closer. The doctor has her stay, he goes up to call into the hospital, but there is someone else lurking. That person grabs at the nurse! She ends up causing the car to move a bit as her feet frantically hit pedals, she gets free of the hands, only for them to come around to the other window and smash them with brute strength. The nurse runs away from the car, so the escaped patient hops in and drives away into the night.

"Are you alright?" Raven asks. "You look a little pale. Well, paler for us, *chuckle* Is your stomach bothering you?"

"N-No," you say. "Just..."

"It's alright if you don't want to watch this," Raven says.

You recline back on the bed and pick up the remote control.

"Let's find something fun to watch, shall we?" you say.

You go to the guide and scroll through channels. There's not as much to the selection as the Titan's have on their cable package. You still see channels providing sports and normal programming like sitcoms, but you move on deeper to find channels with movies.

"Romcom," you say.

"Pass," Raven says.

"Sci-fi."

"Pass, we've watched quite a few of those lately."

"Historical drama," you say.

"Based off of World War II. No offense to it but there have been enough of them, I'm fine with not watching another."

"Well I suppose I should've guessed that horror is where you'd want to go, then," you say as you find Halloween.

"Wait is that the original or the remake?" she asks.

You use the "info" button to find that out.

"Original," you say.

"Sweet," she says. "Accepted."

You change the channel to Halloween, as it is just starting.



Raven gives a giddy smile at hearing the iconic theme music.

Haddonfield, Illinois

Halloween Night
1963

The first person perspective moves through the outside of a house, and it watches a young teenage couple making out in a side room. The two teenagers then move upstairs, so the character whose eyes you see this through goes around front. Lights go out upstairs, the character moves to the back of the house. The back door is open, so the character enters the house. The character, judging from height and the hand that reaches out for the drawer, is rather young. They pull out a large knife from the drawer!

The young person creeps through the house and arrives at the stairs, seeing the teen boy put his shirt back on and leave out the front door. The young person creeps up the stairs, puts on a clown mask, and now with the camera going through the eyes of the mask, Michael creeps up on his sister, who is topless in her panties, and stabs her to death! Not that anything is shown, blood wise. The breasts are shown, and both you and Raven blush a bit, as apparently neither of you remembered or considered the nudity.

"I-It's not that big of a deal," Raven says with a dismissive wave and shrug. "Y-You've seen mine, so, I mean..."

"Right," you say. "Wait. Are you sure it's not that big of a deal?"

"Whatever, this is one of the few parts," she says.

Michael finishes killing his sister, walks down the stairs and outside just as his parents are returning home, and the movie takes third person perspective as the family tries to come to grips with what Michael did.

Smith's Grove, Illinois

October 30, 1978

A car drives on a dark and stormy night, a nervous nurse at the wheel. The man, a psychiatric doctor, in the passenger asks if she's "ever done something like this before?" She hasn't. They're approaching their destination as the nurse complains about the "gibberish" and "raving on and on". This patient is different; "He hasn't spoken a word in fifteen years." She asks if there's something special needed for this, the psychiatric doctor tells her "don't underestimate it." "It" seems a bit harsh to her, she suggests just calling him "him". The doctor goes along with that.
