like a year and a half ago we had a falling out with our friend network, and now my wife and I don't really have much in the way of friends. Its gotten to the point where we are considering joining a church to try and make some. making friends as adults is hard, especially when you live rural

First this is kinda hard to believe coming from you.

But if its true, its kinda the norm. The good news is that from the little Ive gathered from you, you have a supportive and loving spouse. And in the end thats who is going to be with you until the end.

Coworker friends are usually cool.

Being sociable with others was a lot easier when I lived in the city. Currently just surrounded by farmland. Its true I do have my spouse and my kids, although I feel there is a sort of interaction and friendship that you really can't get from your spouse/family that we are both missing.

Coworker route is hard for me because I work fully remote, and I'm a "team of one", meaning I rarely have interaction with coworkers.

Adopt a hundred cats.
