For those who might be interested (@Spidey5 maybe?) the Madoka Magica mobile game, Magia Record, is now playable on Android devices without needing a VPN. The original Japanese version could detect if the APK wasn't downloaded from the Google Play store, so you had to use a VPN to create a Japanese Google Play account and download the game directly from there for it to work. It's kind of a pain in the ass. However, Magia Record just got a Chinese release a few days ago, and this version of the game does not have the same region lock as the Japanese version! So now, those who don't want to deal with a VPN can download the game (just make sure to download the correct one,it should have Komoe Game as the developer and not Aniplex). through QooApp without any trouble, like with the other gacha games we play that aren't released in the US.

I have a question. Would any of you mind if I occasionally posted a meme along with what I usually post? Like that Hitler's dog pic from awhile back. Sometimes I come across some really funny stuff on twitter but I don't want to make a separate topic just for one pic.

If they contain or are related to the topic at hand (AKA sexy anime girls) then sure. If they're other anime-related memes (even just vaguely, like if it's a video game that's sort of anime-ish) then they're welcome in the Anime General topic. But I agree with the previous poster that this topic isn't the place for other unfitting memes.

Cute girls fighting demons (and sometimes other cute girls), a surprisingly good story, and some amazing swordfights. Seriously, the producers hired actual real-life swordmasters to be advisors on the project so they could bring real-life sword-fighting techniques into the anime's fight scenes. Also, the anime is an original project, not based on a manga or light novel. So you'll get a definitive ending after the 24 episodes are done, not half the story and a "go buy the source material to see more" ending.

Nah, it was supposed to break, just not immediately and aburptly. The brackets were nearly unsecured, and the spot was supposed to be the chokeslam to cause the brackets to begin failing and the top to sag, then a stomp to finish it. Mankind would then grab the cage as he was falling to slow his fall and rotate his body. The cage broke too quickly though so Mankind fell through cleanly.

So either way, the spot was way more dangerous than it was originally planned to be.

Indeed, it looks like we're going to see the first dark-skinned main Cure. Based on her look and her name, I'd guess that she's a foreigner, or at the very least she's half-Japanese and half-something-else. Erena/Elena sounds more Spanish than Japanese, so she could be of some sort of Hispanic descent.

They went cheap with Super and it shows.

I thought the middle portion of the series was done pretty well, and IMO the Goku Black arc is the best I've seen out of Super so far.

But I agree, it's obvious that Toei went cheap at the beginning because they had already animated those first two arcs in the movies, and (from what I've seen and heard) they went cheap for the last part of the series because they started siphoning money from Super's budget for their big 15th anniversary Precure project.

I've been following the dub on Toonami (which is approaching the Tournament Of Power arc soon, the subbed version has finished airing) and it's been fun. It's certainly not as good as its predecessor, but I've still found it mostly enjoyable. IMO you're better off watching the movie versions of the first two arcs (the Beerus and Resurrection of Frieza movies) rather than the TV versions, which will save you some time early on and get you to the new and good stuff.

The new series begins Sunday, February 3, which means that (factoring in this weeks episode and no new episode next week due to the holidays) there are probably 4-5 episodes of Hugtto Precure left before it ends and they pass the baton to the Star Twinkle cast. There's also the upcoming Precure Miracle Universe movie in mid-March, which will feature the new cast alongside the casts of the previous two series, Hugtto Precure and Kira Kira Precure A La Mode.

I rather enjoyed my first time following a Precure series as it aired, and from what I see, it'll be fun doing it again.
