The main event this week is last year's runner-up Whiplash taking on the brutal Bloodsport, plus we have more returning veterans including Yeti coming back after a year off, a pair of promising rookies in Defender and Blip, and a pair of lovable meme bots in Ribbot and Rusty.

Also in PriConne news, the second season of the anime just premiered this past Monday. It was very fun and very comfy.

I've been watching baseball since I was 4 years old and was lucky enough to watch my home team win a World Series (and go to a game in that series, one of the best days of my life) at age 6. I'm a baseball fan for life and I doubt anything will ever change that.

hmmm, do you know if it works with greasemonkey? the greasy fork site says it does, but the actual script page says it only works with tampermonkey

I think it used to work with Greasemonkey, but due to recent developments after GameFAQs' site update broke the script, the creator was only able to get the newest version working on Firefox in Tampermonkey Beta. You could try different extensions (Greasemonkey or Violentmonkey) on different browsers (Chrome or Opera) to see if you can find another combination that works for you, but I think that's the only option for Firefox.

You can see the first point easiest with Kokkoro. If you UB while she's in the middle of her dash attack, she will stay in front rather than returning to the midline (which can be used to force a target change for the enemies)

So that's why that happens... I've seen Kokkoro dash out like that and sometimes just fucking die for it. Is there a tankier character that has a similar lunge (and way to cancel it with their UB) so they can just lunge back in front of Kokkoro afterwards?

Tribe Nine's first episode was fantastic. That show and season 2 of Princess Connect ReDive were the highlights for me out of all the anime I've tried out this season.

Huh... that's interesting. How many gacha games have had an English voice option added after launch like this? The only gacha games I've ever played that had an English voice option at all (Fire Emblem Heroes, Yu-gi-oh Duel Links, and Pokemon Masters) had it from the start.

They're two completely different and unique games, and they were connected together with a password system where beating one of the games gives you a password to start a "linked" playthrough in the other game. You could only fight the true final boss of the story in a linked playthrough, plus there were some items and upgrades that you could only get in a linked playthrough too.

I'm cheering for the tie, I want chaos.

Like, probably a hot take, but I'm gonna go out and say Tombstone is a poorly designed robot to be honest. It's poorly balanced, its wheels are extremely vulnerable, and it's slow. Most competent/non-gimmick teams beat it easily now.

I've heard Ray Billings claim that he leaves Tombstone's wheels exposed on purpose to use them as bait and catch bots from the side when they go for the wheels, and in past seasons, his driving skill made that strategy work really well. But now, there are more bots that can hit back just as hard and are tougher. I don't think that Tombstone is badly designed, I just think the meta and the bots around it have caught up to it.

i don't care much for this upper deck. it seems like just a gigantic waste of space in the arena. i wish they'd take more inspiration from Robot Wars for the arena hazards. i liked the little flip ramp in particular. the screws and the pulverizer are basically gimmicks that never actually make any real difference. and so far the only way the upper deck has come into play was making it easier to box your opponent in in the corner, which i'm not sure is really all that fair.

Robot Wars had the arena almost perfect in its rebooted incarnation. Spinners still have room to roam but have to be more careful of recoil. Flippers have zones for out-of-the-arena flips that are viable but not super easy to pull off. Control bots have a viable win condition via the Pit and don't need to rely solely on judge's decisions or the enemy spinner just knocking themselves out. It was balanced and led to a lot of weapon variety. Just remove the randomness of the House Robots and put a limit on how soon the Pit can be opened (I'd say make the button active a minute, maybe a minute and a half into the fight) and it's perfectly balanced for any kind of bot with any kind of weapon.

The only good hammer bot in this rebooted BattleBots was Beta, and even it wasn't really a championship contender. High tier, but not championship tier.

I'm lucky enough to not have to deal with this. I have a pretty solid routine when it comes to playing my gacha games.

Morning (past 7am when it resets for me) = PriConne dailies
Afternoon (past 3pm when they reset) = Revue Starlight and Tenkafuma dailies
Night (past 8pm when the last reward is available) = claim and burn the free login stamina in PriConne

Even if I did play a gacha game whose daily reset was in the middle of the night, I'd still usually wait until morning to play it.

Al Kindle from team Blacksmith posted pictures from the pits of the damage their new "power hammer" weapon caused to Free Shipping. That thing has a lot more power than I thought while watching that fight. After watching the show last night and thinking about it more today, I really want to see this new and improved Blacksmith get a rematch against Minotaur to possibly get revenge for the ass-beating it took four seasons ago.

Apparently, the phantom hour that was showing up on people's cable guides is an episode of last year's BattleBots: Bounty Hunters side series, which was previously exclusive to Discovery+. That's cool that people who didn't subscribe to the service to watch those can now watch them on TV.

Also, since those are episodes from last season, they're not subject to the "put it under spoiler tags until 24 hours after airing" rule in this topic.

Bit of a disappointing main event as Hydra suffers some technical difficulties and then gets knocked out by End Game. Still an awesome episode overall and a great start to the season.

I'm not sure if it was still working at the end, but Deep Six is still as deadly as ever. The main event, End Game vs. Hydra, is up next... after some commercials and padding, because American capitalism.

Uppercut knocked out Gigabyte, and Switchback's debut didn't go as hoped as Gruff toughed it out. Time for Tombstone vs. Captain Shrederator, and my only question is whether Tombstone can knock it out before it just randomly dies on its own.

I'm 99% sure that's a mistake. Last season's 2-hour episodes had 7 fights and already felt like there was a bit of padding, so there's no way in hell that they can stretch 7 fights into 3 hours.

Watch the show tonight and see how far the bots have advanced compared to the original series. This is season 6 of the reboot, meaning that the reboot now has more seasons than the original series did... so clearly the fights are exciting enough to keep a loyal audience coming back.
