Yeah, all I could suggest is trying to contact Hulu to see if they can assist. Its possible something on your account just got corrupted and they need to refresh something.

I previously had the HBO Now app on my phone and it must have automatically updated to Max. Not sure if that makes a difference or not why it worked for me.

I had a singular puff of a marijuana cigarette in high school. This was at the end of my first year of high school, which was Year 9, but at that time Form 3, although I don't know what the Yanks call it. Anyway it was December. The seniors were all done and most of my classmates were enjoying a sports week. But since I had no friends (I ended the year falling out with my group of friends, but that's another story), and also because I hate sports, I elected not to fill out any of the forms and was punished with spending the week in study room. A few other boys were therea group I knew to be trouble makers. Anyhow, one morning after form class had been dismissed and most of the kids left on busses to go to their particular sporting events, one Mori boy came up to me and asked me if I wanted to smoke a joint. I said sure and he replied, "Aue, true" probably surprised because I was a quiet nerd. So I followed him behind the sports shed, along with some other chaps. He produced, from his wallet, a tiny portion of a marijuana cigarette (I believe "roach" may be the word some folks call them), sparked it up, and started handing it around. I didn't really know what to do, and to be honest I was kind of hoping the world would end before it was my turn just out of the sheer anxiety of doing the wrong thing (this anxiety would be fairly consistent for years to come). Well naturally I do do the wrong thing: when it is my turn, I clumsily drop the tiny roach into the grass. I dive down to pick it up, and then start sucking at it like a goldfish as the other boys had done. Well at this time a fellow named Whitaker thought it would be funny to yell, "Teacher's coming!" and I was filled with such panic that I threw the tiny roach back into the grass and briskly walked away. I never had any interest in smoking marijuana again, but I felt like I had earned a badge in some respect, as throughout my life I have been able to answer the question "Have you ever tried marijuana?" with a very cool "Yeah" and not having to lie about it.

how do you recommend we get started investing to build wealth?

If youre able to contribute to a 401k that gets a company match that is always my first recommended step. Its essentially the closest thing to risk-free investing you can get into since the market would need to tank 50%+ for you to lose your initial cash input.

Beyond that though, even making small personal investments into the common stocks of any good companies (blue chip, tech companies, or just companies you respect and think will make money and be around for a long time) is good to start early and often. I dabbled in stock investing a decade or two when I didnt know anything and sold stuff that would have been worth 3-4x today what I sold for it. This includes shitty companies I never would have dreamed I would have made a return on.

Now that most brokerages offer fee-free investing, fractional shares, and option trading, its never been easier to start practicing with a small amount of money.

Its all about what you can afford to lose. If you think you feel ok with starting with $200 and would be fine if all of it were lost, start there. If that seems too low, feel free to bump that up. If you do $500 or more though Id be sure to try to diversify that over a few different stocks or funds. The more you put in the more you can make, but the more you can lose. Whats important at first though is just learning the system and building up your knowledge and strength.

A lot of folks talk about their wins and gains, but I feel its important to personally experience some losses so you can truly gauge your own tolerance for risk and learn how to weather turbulent times. Its easy to think man, it would suck to lose $5k but its a totally different experience unless it actually happens to you and you can learn from your mistakes and update your process to avoid those kinds of pains.

I make 6-fig, but am a CPA and have been working up the corporate ladder for 20 years pretty much.

Invest early and often, is my advice. If I had learned more about how the stock market works and what you truly are buying when you get into stocks, I would have played the game 20 years ago and built wealth that way and not bothered with corporate work.

Id also recommend learning how option trading works and practicing there. Its really not any riskier than getting into stocks, and with a steady discipline you can make a very decent return off of a relatively low cash investment. Make enough good calls there and you could be wealthy in a relatively short amount of time. Knowledge of the stock market is key before tackling this though.

Also learn how taxes work and why it makes sense to hold assets long term and defer taxes however possible.
