Yeah Delta and Southwest are gaining. Even Carnival cruise lol. I listened to the "experts" that said to avoid cruise lines (at the time it made sense because cruise ships are a petri dish for communicable diseases, especially with the rona) but once they lifted restrictions you just knew that people would have been itching to go back om those things. I should have bought some more shares when it was dirt cheap

Tbf, there's a real possibility that these travel companies would (and still could) go under, and you lose everything. I personally wish I put more in now, but man...when it kept dropping lower and lower, and even Buffett sold his shares, it was bad times.

The thing is, it's not over yet. Stocks are up because we're opening up, but the virus hasn't stopped, and the spread is going to get worse from here.

S&P is almost positive for the year now and the nasdaq is up like 9% ytd. This market is ridiculous and I say this as someone who is up nearly 20k this year now.

I also think the stock market isn't truly back yet, maybe a big drop if the virus makes a big surge. It is really easy to put a stop in on your stock gains though, I always have one in place so my gains are protected.

This has bit me in the ass a couple times though, when a stock I have goes down 5% at 8 am, triggers my sell, then pops to +15% 2 hours later lol

I've just been ignoring what's going and making my 401k/IRA contributions as usual.

after pulling my airline stocks at the bottom when buffet pulled, I'd have doubled my life savings if I held. Stupid dumb boy is me.

So instead I invested in highly risky levereged indexes and am now up $400 after being down $7k just one week ago.

By the way, today was a historic rally. I can't emphasize how stupid and nonsensical this is. I have every reason to lose all my money next week after holding through the weekend. If we make it through this unscathed prepare for inflation that gives a death blow to the middle class and lower, if not now then a few years down the road.
