Bowie was a fucking god, man. A relentlessly creative artist who never stopped reinventing (the album he was writing on his deathbed was heavily influenced by Kendrick Lamar) and he was so prescient on a ton of things like this, the internet's role in society, and more.

Truly one of a kind and badly missed.

It's been really solid so far IMO. I wasn't super drawn in by the intro and the start of the first zone, but the areas have grown on me and I'm really enjoying the less demanding pace of endgame play in terms of what you are REQUIRED to do to "keep up with the Joneses."

Obama is a great orator, truly one of the most talented in our time, but was a hugely disappointing President and it led directly to people who felt spurned by the failure of "hope and change" staying home or voting red in 2016.

He and the democratic party wear a lot of the last four years, and you'll never hear them admit they ever misunderstood the populace. Just that the populace got "complacent" and was ungrateful.

It's being run pretty terribly because Trump has gotten almost entirely swallowed up by Fox News Brain. He won as an outsider and has spent four years being surrounded by insiders.

He won in 2016 because he was cutting and darkly funny, using populist language and hitting at the corrupt status quo. That was enough to propel a narrow victory over the ludicrously unpopular Hillary Clinton, despite most people not liking his personality. Now that he IS the status quo, he's been reduced to yelling about how Joe Biden is a socialist and now desperately seeking out another "her emails" to pull regarding Biden's son. He could hit Biden on so many things and he really is only gunning for "muh socialism!" and it's really kinda sad.

Treisman also appeared to have been a fan of former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. In fact, his musings about Biden took place after Sanders left the race on April 8. My hatred is for the complacent American people who will turn u in for their own satisfaction, Treisman posted that same day. But aside from former goals, my eyes are on the future. My advice wouldnt be stop eating, itd be eat 5-10% less.

If youve got a problem where you keep binging McDonalds every day, you do wanna get that under control
but stopping cold turkey is hard. Start by swapping to a Diet Coke (or better yet... water, but still), get a medium fry instead of a large, etc. Eventually, cut back to every other day. Go incrementally. Thats a much more sustainable way to approach it.

Removing all female roles from the show completely annihilates Act 2. Theres no story to tell about the back half of his life without Eliza and Maria Reynolds. An episode of Drunk History is like 20 minutes of rambling content.

I agree, all the stuff with the women seemed very disconnected from the rest of the story.

They're intrinsically connected. The whole point of the story is that we only are seeing it because of Eliza. Getting swept up in the grandeur of big political maneuverings, blind to the damage he was doing on a personal level to his loved ones and former friends, is his key flaw and it gets him killed young. If you don't bring the focus back down and get into Eliza and his family life, you can't really do justice to the death of Phillip. If you don't do the death of Phillip, you don't explain why Alexander is so withdrawn from the political scene, and the circumstances of the ending make no sense, not to mention you're not really telling Hamilton's story at that point if you aren't including Eliza and Phillip. The grace of his wife preserving his legacy for him is the only reason we even get to see the show. This all leads to one of my favorite payoffs in musical theater history when Eliza sees the audience at the end, realizing she succeeded in telling his story.

Eliza is absolutely mandatory. I suppose you could argue that you could cut Satisfied and the plot wouldn't be that much different, but Alexander's relationship with Angelica is an important dynamic in his under-appreciation of Eliza and beyond that is just one of the coolest numbers in the show, so I can't fathom cutting it.

Like, man, the show would've been better if they cut all the female roles out? So, no "Take a Break" and no "Say No To This," without which there is basically no plot to Act 2? No "That Would Be Enough," which is laying the key groundwork of Hamilton's blinding obsession with his legacy as a tragic flaw? No "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story," which wraps up the entire show and its message? That's gonna be a yikes from me.

A huge world is pretty meaningless when the majority of characters just repeat the same 2 lines over and over and every dungeon and building uses 90% of the same assets

Agreed. Ive gotten through very, very few of these look how MASSIVE! open world games, and the only one Ive really enjoyed is Breath of the Wild, because the world was varied enough and the moment to moment gameplay was really interesting with how many ways you had to skin the proverbial cat with any given problem. They mostly avoided repetitive NPCs by making towns few and far between with most of your gameplay being driven by isolation and wanderlust.

Everything else, I prefer Arkham-sized. Big, but definitely attainable to see everything and the majority of things to see are interesting. God of War was a great example.
