A friend of mine recommended this to me and I apparently already had it because of PS+ and it was only like two or three hours to 100% so I figured I'd give it a try. Pretty neat game. I love how every section has a unique style to it, very creative.

This game was free on PS+ so I figured I'd give it a shot since it would be different, short, and an easy source of trophies. It was interesting I guess but I'm really not a big fan of "movies pretending to be games". I went through it six times for the platinum trophy but I still have no idea what's actually going on in the story.

Horizon: Zero Dawn (PS4)

The premise of this game is awesome. From the beginning I thought I would enjoy playing it and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. It was really fun to play and I loved the story. I loved the way how things were presented and I'm pretty excited for the sequel. One of my favourite things about this game is that the dialogue changes a bit to fit the context of your progression. So, the order of which you do side/main quests, whether or not you've done the DLC or not, etc. It's cool because it actually does feel like the game world updates to your progression, which was neat.

Whelp, I pretty much spent all the gold and gems I had on Jumpstart events in hopes of getting the basic lands that I wanted. Ended up getting four of the planeswalker ones (missing Liliana) and didn't get the Phyrexian or the mill ones.

A bit upsetting. Would've been nice to get the full planeswalker set and the Phyrexian one was the one I wanted. Hope they come out with ways to get them in the future.

The Last of Us 2 (PS4)

Finally got around to replaying TLOU2 for the platinum trophy. I thought that it was an overall good game, I liked how the risks they took with it and I appreciated that they tried to tell a more complex story. That said, I think it doesn't really come close to the original. I thought the first one essentially a masterpiece and so it was hard to imagine a sequel ever reaching those heights.

Been playing a Jeskai Control deck myself and it's fun, but the vast majority of Historic decks I've been facing on ladder have just been goblins. So tiring since it ends up being a coin flip as to whether or not I can stabilize before I get run over.

Final Fantasy IX (PS4)

I never played FF9 when it originally came out but I got the PS3 version, played it for a bit, and never finished it. Figured I'd get the PS4 version to actually finish it and get the trophies along the way. It was a decent game but I was disappointed in it. The game gets a lot of hype so I had some expectations going it, but it didn't really deliver. Nothing about the game really stood out to me so I'd personally list it near the bottom of the Final Fantasies I've played. Not a bad game but I just didn't think it was that special.

I also collect coins so I thought that was pretty neat to include. Especially since the concept of states and money have pretty much disappeared in that universe too.

For example: A player has collected two copies of Card X when it is banned in Standard, and they receive two Wildcards at that time. Later, the card is also banned in Historic. Though they still have two copies, they won't receive additional Wildcards because they've already been reimbursed for the copies they have. However, if they had crafted (or otherwise collected) more copies between the Standard ban and the Historic ban, they would receive reimbursement for those new copies after the Historic ban.

Hatoful Boyfriend (PS4)

Had a slight interest in this game just because of the meme value and saw it was on sale for like two bucks a while back so I picked it up. Figured if it gave me any sort of entertainment it would've been worth it. Most of the game was pretty much but the BBL ending was pretty interesting. Would've been fun if the entire game was like that.

Well, that's pretty much it right? Either the cases end up being mostly harmless and the deaths don't go up or there ends up being a significant increase in deaths later. We don't know right now so it really is a matter of waiting and seeing.

Regardless, more infections (not necessarily confirmed cases) will lead to more deaths, which is where the "mainstream position" you're talking about is coming from. It's just a matter of what the fatality rate actually is.

Expanded testing also means that you're getting more people that are asymptomatic or with mild cases that might not require hospitalizations in addition to detecting more severe cases early. You're right that there's a lot of factors at play here though, so it's hard to say what the numbers will look like since we don't know the exact breakdown of things until they occur.

I really like the idea that it was supposed to seem like a "good ending" but Ellie just had to take it one step too far. I felt the entire California section was a bit much but if you frame it like that it seems pretty cool.

I enjoyed the gameplay more than the first one as well. Felt like they just took the same gameplay but added new features that fleshed it out more without making it feel too clunky. I did feel it did get a bit repetitive near the end, but that's really the only complain I have about the gameplay.

As for the story, I generally enjoyed it as well. It was more complicated than the first one so it inevitably didn't feel as "tight", but I loved the narrative experience of going through Abby's story. Thought it was an interesting way to make the player understand a character that you would've initially hated.

The rarest platinum I have is Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. It wasn't really that hard, just a huge grind since you had to play through the game so many times and then collect all the cards. My first platinum, FFXIII, is always a special one too.

But in general I think one of my favourite non-trophy achievements was getting Thunderfury as a Warlock in World of Warcraft. It was a fun grind and I'm pretty sure I was the first non-traditional class on the server to get it.

What they want is basically to be treated just like everyone else more than anything. This game has the best intentions about it I do not doubt, but Lev's story is an extreme story of trans people not being accepted where they come from, and that's not the representation you want at this point in time. Can someone explain to me the issue with deadnaming in the context of this game? Wasn't the whole catalyst of Lev's story that the Scars didn't accept him so he had to run away? In that context, why would the people trying to kill him bother with calling him Lev? Plus, he pretty much left immediately so there's a good chance they didn't even know of his new name.

Yea, I think that having Joel die so early and unceremoniously is actually pretty powerful. It's a strong catalyst for the game's plot and sets up the parallels between Ellie and Abby's stories. Plus, I think it fits within the game's themes and world as well. I like Joel but he's not a superhero, his story ended with the first game.

I beat phantom as Aerith without using any elemental materia, just took a while.

Shiva was really the only one I had to make a specific setup for but that was the first fight in the event.
