Yeah, that's not Flash Thompson. That's three prominent characters in the movie that don't resemble how they should resemble. If they didn't want to make a Spiderman movie, they shouldn't have called it Spiderman.

nothing wrong with putting new twists on old characters and events

particularly when the same story has been told to death several times.

Mary-Jane is also a super model; one of the most attractive women in the Marvel universe. I've not seen how Zandaya looks in the movie, but I just don't get that from her.

I didn't get that from Kirsten Dunst's plain looking ass either but nobody was bringing that up back then

She was still instantly recognisable as Mary Jane. We didn't need to be told which character she was playing just by looking at her.

Its okay for Peter to have a black love interest, its not okay to change the skin color of an established character. And if they had to, Betty Brandt should have been Peter's love interest, not Mary Jane.

Now I like many Japanese voices when watching subtitled anime, sometimes they sound better than the english dub. But DBZ Goku is not one of them. An 80 year old woman doing Goku's voice is fine for when he's kid, but its a terrible miscasting for when he's a grown adult.

Personally, I find the usage of the word by any race to be offensive. Just because those the word is derogatory term for have started to use it doesn't make it any less offensive.
