The tension that comes from knowing each combatant is always just beyond blade time and one slip is death. Use of the environment or shifting forms is an added bonus. This. I know it's a fantasy series but this is why I prefer the sequel trilogy lightsaber fights. (And hell, the Luke vs. Vader one in RotJ was great too, so much emotion behind that one) They're fewer in number yet they feel more real.
