Well that sucks, thought Lightning fans would want more of a final final but I guess most of them just really want that win.

Let's see, uhhhhh Auron made it way further than I thought! Going into this year I wanted a respectable finish after getting hardbooted, this was his hardboot redemption run. Vivi and Auron are my top 2 characters, and I was maining both along with Shad. Then disaster struck with Vivi. When that happened, here's a screencap of my convo with Shad

So top 5 was my goal with Auron from then on, and I thought he was gonna tap at around the top 10. But then he got it! So goal met! And then it was like....well shit can he make it all the way? And even though I didn't want Kefka to get out, him getting out gave him the best chance if he made it to the final. So maybe! But alas. I'm frustrated certainly but I can't get too mad about a character I mained and one of my actual favorite characters, not pushing as part of an alliance or anything, getting all the way to 3rd! So thank you! Shaduln was my main bro in all of this, but there were plenty of other Auron backers as well helping. Genny/charon after Braska went down, barrel making his way back into the contest, and others I'm forgetting off the top of my head right now. Massive praise and thanks to everyone who helped get Auron this far. Going from hardboot to 3rd is not too shabby!

I'm probably sitting out the final because lol but hey Edward did his thing I guess, and hey maybe it will now be a close final because of backlash/zeitgeist/it's "cool" to vote Edward or whatever. So more power to you, but I'm not gonna lie and say it doesn't sting that Auron got boosted out there.
