Yeah and in my case it was the top 15 rankings posted back then & a few more yesterday (some stats on last pay of Day 98)

@Steiner I got it. I think. I just drew up the differences between people's ranks and yours and took the standard deviation.

Well in the course of doing that one thing for Steiner I rigged a whole contraption so I might as well get some use out of it.

Bane, you may be surprised to hear your most compatible person was... swordz!

You didn't have a difference with him greater than 6 (and those were his 1-2 Light-RM ranks being 7-8 for you), a lot of 3-4-5 spot differences so not as tight as the Steiner-pj connection but still pretty good. Your least compatible was Eddv too.

Speaking of which, the highest compatibility overall was with Eddv and Lea! One difference of 6, two 4s and two 3s, and then everything else - 10 characters - all had a difference of either 0 or 1 spots. So nicely done there.

The absolute least compatible: Lopen and StifledSilence. 0, 1, 3, 4 spot differences, and then the remaining 11 characters at a 6 spot or greater difference (and 5 of those in double-digits).

I want to actually program a bot to do a fully automated simulation where she posts the saves/results as they come as if a contest is actually running

and to do that I'd still need to script a bit more on that half, sooooo "deadline" is a ways out, I'd have a better idea once we're done the finals, for now I'm just collecting the data

There probably isn't, it'd require manual intervention. For this year, someone could go through all the old topics to identify trades made in the topics, but they'd have to also identify trades that continue on an ongoing basis, and they'd miss any agreements made in discord or PMs. Accounting for NR saves (and NR payout saves in following round(s)) would also need to happen too.

New rule next year, all trades and deals get registered through a trade commissioner and get catalogued for stat purposes, lol.

and then you could compute everyone's probability of trading and the bots can start trading with each other

yeah registering trade pacts was an idea I thought of, it's just a matter getting people to do it and I suck at convincing people to do things so I never vocalized that idea

and then one-off trades would also be able to mark their save as a trade as well

This is actually a bit of a benefit to people having slower save times, their save being delayed a bit more kinda does make them snipers as higher priorities they normally would've used their Hour on get saved by others

although yeah if I could make a more targeted sniping effect that be neat, but there's some other things I'd like to emulate as well (like some savers just being more active in general...... or a MWC got banned factor)
