See I don't agree with that being solely a KH3 problem (and honestly I don't mind it in KH3 anyway- I saw it more as a nice reward for the journey by giving a blockbuster ending). The only thing KH2 really did different was giving that mid point to catch stuff up. Other than that, a good majority is left until the end still.

And if we're gonna be super real I think DDD is the biggest offender of this whole breadcrumbing anyway.

The Disney worlds were like the best they've ever been in terms of presentation and appeal. I agree they didn't flow with the rest of the story very well, but like someone else said that only really happened in KH1 otherwise, and it felt like they at least tried to connect them better this time, with Organization members appearing and interacting with the Disney characters more. (The yeetus Vanitas scene is one of my favorite moments in all of KH)
