That's not what is happening with either situation. The Majors want Djokovic to play(and we're willing to let him play) and the NBA wants Irving to play(and are willing to let him). In both cases the only thing that limits their abilities to actual is the laws of land of where they are to be playing. There is a high probability that if Novak had followed the rules and not lied about it on his form, that he would be playing right now.

He was vaccinated well before the suspension. We found out about the fake cars well after the fact. The team caught him with it immediately and he went and got the vaccine then, before the season even started. We only found out about the card thing later when he stiffed his private chef. Which should have been an early warning to the team to get him some help, because he was on the start of his spiraling out again.
