The GC was a piece of crap. In fact, in my opinion, Nintendo dropped the ball when they decided to keep the N64 cart based when CD consoles debuted and Nintendo went from being on top of the videogame industry to 3rd place and Sega bowed out altogether and those two were the numbers 1 and 2 video game companies in regards to consoles during the 1980s until the late 1990s early 2000s.

I've been on both sides of the coin. I was in a union while in school and when I got out of school, I landed a job at a food manufacturing company and that's when I witnessed the bs.

I was an assistant production manager so we quarterly bonuses connected to quota's and certain metrics we had to meet.

The irony is, if we hit the metrics which was rare, the hourly paid people doing the work could max out their quarterly bonus which was $500 and he management people were getting $1500 to $2500 a quarter depending on you management position.

On top of that the management people were also given stocks again the amount of shares depended on your position but the point being, the hourly paid people were being screwed big time and that never sat well with me.

pretty much everything on your list i buy in bulk, especially if its on sale or something. like meats i'll buy a ton of it on sale, and just freeze it to use for the next year. i even have one of those vacuum sealers to make sure that my meats and stuff don't get freezer-burnt.

the only things i don't buy bulk are things that go bad quickly, so like fruits/veggies, yogurt, and stuff like that. i'm also that person at the store who has dozens of coupons every time, because i was raised to be super frugal and always live way below my means, so bulk shopping + coupons seems like the way to go.
Me too when I catch a sale or have coupons which is rare for me LOL

62% of Americans do not have $400 in savings in case of an emergency.

61% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck

67% of Americans spend roughly 43% of their income on rent/mortgage

68% of Americans are not saving enough for their retirement

44% of Americans claim they have had no significant pay raise over the past 3-5 years

63% of Americans are without health insurance and those who do have it are being bombarded with co-pays, deductibles etc etc and dictated to in terms of which doctors we can see or hospital ERs we can visit which to me is socialized fascist medicine,

71% of Americans think things will get worse economically before they get better.

67% of Americans owe $20,000 or more in terms of debt i.e. CC, Medical or Student Loans

51% of Americans claim they use payday loan places between paychecks

This is not a recipe for a stable balanced country and we can and have to do better overall across the board.

TopicWhy do people freak out over the border
BUMPED2002
09/04/23 7:51:03 PM

That border will never close because employers want cheap labor and people who won't cause a fuss i.e. join unions so that eliminates hiring Americans.

When Reagan took office in 1980, America had 3 to 4M undocumented people here and people told Reagan to send them back and he said wait let me make a call.

Reagan called his good pal JR Simplot who back then was the number one grower and supplier of potatoes for the grocery and fast food industries but he could never keep workers working his farms so Reagan devised a plan to allow those people to stay if they agreed to harvest potatoes and they did for pennies per day because Simplot didn't pay by the hour he paid by the quota meaning you had to pick a certain amount per day to reach max pay which rarely happened because Simplot set the quota amount to a level you would never reach keeping the pay low.

That's why employers love immigrants illegal or not because they can abuse them and get away with it.

Ironic thing being Charter pays about $2.2 billion a year for the Disney suite of programming, according to Charter's website, but only 25% of Charter video subscribers "regularly engage" with Disney content.

So it seems not a lot of viewers are watching Disney channels.

Everyone keeps freaking out about this, I've never heard of Rao's until this news came out the other day.
Are you serious? Rao's is a very popular Italian restaurant in East Harlem NY and they stay so booked that you have to make reservations weeks sometimes months ahead of time to get a table and their pasta sauce is really really good. They have been in business since 1896.

It's a family owned business and the last owner, the late Frank Pellegrino Sr was also an actor. He played on "The Soprano's" and "Law and Order."

His son runs it now.

They will.

It seems simple enough. Cambells buys Rao's, uses their power and influence to take that same Rao's and put it in every home like Ragu, but what really is going to happen is the recipe is going to get cheaper and shittier.

That's it.
That's what I am afraid of. They'll start using cheaper ingredients and raise the price on consumers to recoup what they spent to buy it.

The people that took over Hostess did the same thing and those cupcakes are not the ones I remember as a kid.

Inventor Nikola Tesla claimed he found a way to tap into the earth's natural power i.e. IONOSPHERE to provide FREE WIRELESS ENERGY to power homes, cars etc and this technology has been hidden from the public for over 100 years. When Tesla died in 1943, all of his research papers etc disappeared and have not been seen since.

When Tesla made his claims, J.P. Morgan and Thomas Edison quickly moved to dismiss Tesla and to smear him as being a whack so they buried his theory because needless to say Edison had a huge stake in the conventional wired method of electrical power and Morgan had huge investments in copper mines which back then were used to make copper wiring to wire homes etc for power.

There's claims that there have been tech discoveries that can cure diseases, end hunger, world strife, the need for dependency on fossil fuels etc but as you can imagine there's a very deep dark secretive group that operates outside of the norm that has kept this tech hidden for over the past 70 years or so.

According to the documentary most of this tech came from Roswell NM captured alien craft in 1947 and was discovered in secret underground off the book facilities that are ran by some of America's biggest tech and defense contractor companies and it's all been off book and off radar and kept hidden from the elected US Constitutional Government, POTUS etc and the American people.

Claims have been made suggesting that the tech we now have today (lasers, cell phones, pc chips, etc came out of some of those R&D facilities when they reversed engineered materials and rare non earth metals from those alien crafts.

I mean if just 1% of this is true, that's mind boggling.
