I think it's a good idea but I also think employers should have access to drug rehab for employees who may be having issues.

But we also need to understand how we got here and that all began with one Richard Nixon and his 1971 phony launching of his "War On Drugs" which was never about getting drugs off the street. Nixon decided to heavily penalize anybody (namely people of color) with tough jail sentences and stripping them of their voting privileges which was really what it was about to begin with.

Now since 1971 and some nearly $2T spent on the war on drugs and all America has to show for hat is the world's worst addiction problem so I have no idea why this war is still being waged.

Maybe it they paid taxes period, that would help but also keep in from a percentage standpoint, working people pay more of their pay percentage-wise than someone who gets income from investments and I think the tax paid on income from investments is less than 15% and they want it even lower.

The reason billionaires "give away" money is because they know they haven't paid their fair share in taxes so they compensate via philanthropy.

Also keep in mind when tax cuts are issued they usually go to people who make in excess of $250,000 a year and up so that excludes most working class people. Example the 2017 tax cut mostly went to the wealthiest. By 2027 it's estimated by leading economists, that the richest 1 percent will have received 83 percent of the Trump tax cut and the richest 0.1 percent, 60 percent of it. But more than half (53%) of all Americans will pay more in taxes.

Stop voting for politicians who give tax cuts to people who least need it.

Sadly it's quite necessary based on our economic system that debt exists. The bankruptcy system currently doesn't favor those mired in personal debt but it does favor wealthy people who protect their assets when filing bankruptcy.

Many people aren't aware that bankruptcy is the busiest federal court in America. In theory, bankruptcy in America exists to cancel or restructure debts for people and companies that have way too manya safety valve designed to provide a mechanism for restarting lives and businesses when things go wrong financially.

But now bankruptcy thanks to some legislative magic has been designed as an escape hatch for powerful individuals, corporations, and governments contributing in unseen and poorly understood ways to race, gender, and class inequality in America.

When cities go bankrupt as an example, police unions enjoy added leverage while police brutality victims are denied a seat at the negotiating table; the system is more is more forgiving of civil rights abuses than the parking tickets disproportionately distributed to African-American neighborhoods.

I thought about these 3 guys recently and did a bit of research on them.

It turns out Musk wasn't a founded of "PayPal", or "Tesla" and he really hasn't delivered on his promise with SpaceX and well he severely overpaid when he purchased Twitter for $44B because his annual loan payments are said to be around $1.4B dollars. To date from Government subsidies/contracts etc between Tesla and SpaceX, Musk has raked in over $2 trillion of taxpayer money to fund his projects and what has he delivered for that free money.

SBF was basically running a crypto Ponzi Scheme until he couldn't pay investors when they wanted their money.

Zuckerberg spent roughly $36B on what he calls the "MetaVerse" and nobody uses yet he laid off over 11,000 people and FaceBook is now a shell of its former self and we now know he made his money hoarding and selling people's personal information without their consent.

i tried some a couple times when i was in puerto rico and it was good but its not something id go out of my way for. the guys i work with also hyped it up a crazy amount so maybe my expectations were too high

I make my own simply because I know what's in it because I added it and that's some salt, some brown sugar and some spices and that's it. I also make my own ground hamburger meat, tomato sauce, pasta, pizza dough etc because I'm trying to get away from store bought stuff since I have no idea what's in it.

People may not know this but American produced beef and pork is banned in 160 countries because American meat producers use something called "ractopamine" to speed up animal growth and it has been linked to rapid heartbeat, increased aggression and hyperactivity so that's when I stopped buying pork and beef products when I learned about that. So the far right billionaires who despise democracy are putting their wealth might and power behind Trump and MAGA to carry out their very far far right agenda known as Project 2025 which advocates hate and anti everything that they do not like i.e. diversity, LBGTQ etc etc. P2025 is the most legitimate attempt at dismantling democracy that the US has ever faced in our country's 248 year history.

The goal is: Doing away with 3 letter government agencies

Dismantling public education in favor or privatized education for well off people who can afford and for those who cannot afford to pay for their child's education, Project 2025 proposes stripping away all child labor laws so that kids (most of whom will be kids of color) can immediately begin working as 12/13 year old in what would essentially be slave like conditions.

They want to pass an Insurrection Act which would authorize US Military personnel to act as policing agents who can detain anyone without probably cause for as long as they deem fit.

Project 2025: A Blueprint for Authoritarianism and they will abolish, outlaw and quell any civil liberties that they deem a threat.

Elections and political parties as we have come to know them will no longer exist if this far right extreme agenda is allowed to be carried out.

This is scary stuff regardless of which side you fall on.

Well yeah because they (US) assassinated Hussein under the guise he had WMDs but Hussein had decided to sell Iraqi oil on the world market taking the Euro instead of the dollar.

They also did the same to Muammar Gaddafi in Libya because Gaddafi was using Libyan oil profits to prop up his citizens with free healthcare, medicine, free electricity, oil profit stipends for citizens monthly or annually and Libya before Gaddafi died had virtually zero homeless people and he was moving Libya away from dependence on the West. He was also trying to form the African Union putting all African nations together to began extracting and using their resources to earn money to build up their countries and their people and the West didn't like that so they took him out and painted him as a ruthless dictator.

Private equity firms are buying up the US economy and stripping it for parts. From healthcare to education, utilities, and more, massive firms like Blackstone and the Carlyle Group have acquired vast holdings across critical industries essential to the health and well-being of everyday people.

This cannot be good long term going forward and it's also part of the reason why inflation is high.
