For me I never ordered anything on a regular basis nor did I use any of the perks so it was a waste of money for me.

So today in 2024, there's less African-American players in the MLB than it was in the 1980s so I assume Black kids in America either stopped playing baseball or they awfully horrible at it.

Afterwards: OPM (again the same as NP, but there were really only two main disc based systems, plus you got a Free Disc full of Demos before the Streaming/DL era)

Overall I think I liked EGM, esp because of their pretty much honest Reviewers

To me the best time of gaming was the 8 and 16-bit era when gaming was simple and the game you bought was it and there were no add-ons etc and to me that was the best time of gaming. I rarely play games now because it just all seems to be a money grab and games seem unfinished and then they bombard us with add-ons.

Nintendo Power had the best presentation of the lot, but I liked EGM cuz of their demo disc compilations.

I had one subscription to NP during the N64 days! Great magazine but I always liked the magazines that covered all the consoles because I had Sega and Nintendo back in the day.

Used to be Gamesmaster but they are not around anymore I believe. It's been a long time since I've looked at game magazines.

Lot of those magazines are now gone. I think Game Informer is hanging on but barely. As a kid, I always looked forward to getting GamePro or EGM from money I made cutting grass etc and I'd sit in my bedroom window seat and read those mags from cover to cover and I loved GamePro's game guide section.

Back in the day before it was canceled it was official PlayStation magazine for me. Loved those demo discs.

I liked the demo discs as well. Miss those days!

Consoles? No. Physical media is going to be phased out HARD though. I doubt PS6 will have a physical media version, its going all digital. Sony is going to have an iron grip on your game license rights, its going to be a fucking disaster.

Yeah I suspected the all digital content only but that also raises the question for storage because some of the games I have download on my PS4 and PS5 exceed 70GBs so that eats at space.

I think the next big change will be cross-platform gaming. That would be awesome to play your buddies etc on XBOX if you have PS. Now idea how Nintendo would fit into that though.

Understand that all of our media outlets are now owned by about 3/4 major corporations like Disney and Fox and they both project about 90% lies and 10% of truth and none of it matters because the lies they tell in regards to politics has divided this country beyond repair.

No but I am not voting for Biden either because neither of these guys are fit to be president in my opinion. Outside of that I won't be voting for any MAGA candidates either because I am tired of watching their whine and pony show.
