I started playing Memories of Celceta and this just feels like the worst Falcom game so far. Now I'm far enough that I have all 6 party members and the story is starting to pick up at least. But the controls, the enemies, the camera, the zones, it all feels pretty messy. It gets a bit better when you get into refinement to leech enemies and cc all the time, but it's a tedious process tbh.

And uh Adol seems kinda mean and unpleasant? The whole memory thing doesn't quite justify it but we'll see.

Second boss fight theme somehow goes even harder and I'm all for it.

I finished Feast of Famine finally. Now the only quests left is completing Skysteel tools.

Could just be a thing for that show. Don't think it's the usual voice of Sonic either.

They need to stop making references to so many other games in the series. Make it easier to get into.

I guess 590 gear with astronomy to get started thren get upgraded with normal raid gear and causality tomes. And maaaybe you'll reach 600 to do the EX and get a weapon.

Modern and Avatar were pretty good. It's a disappointing first playthrough with 1-2 minute stages, but pretty fun to optimize.

The worst part is that the song only plays for like 20 seconds in the entire game, and they talk over it.

The claim that you have to lose menuing when going for action isn't quite right. Just because FFXV did it wrong. FF7R and Stranger of Paradise have more than enough menuing.

We need one more trailer that focuses a bit more on the characters. Especially Clive who hasn't even been called by name in any of these trailers. Give us something more to care about besides whatever happened that Joshua kid and we good.

Now all the job quests unlocked for Heavensward, so go look for those quest markers that have appeared.

Coils is weird in that you only need to complete turn 5 to do the next quetline to unlock the next tier. And then you only need to do turn 9 and finally just turn 13 to see the end of the story. That said there are a bunch of cutscenes in almost all of the fights.

What you can do is pf turn 5, 9 and 13 while skipping all cutscenes to get it out of the way, then do new game+. How it will work is you'll do the story again leads to turns 1-5. Then you can immediately accept the quest that follows but will ask you if you wanna watch all the cutscenes from turns 1-5. Says yes and so it will play all that story for you and then start the quest that leads to turns 6-9. And then the same thing will happen for the next tiers.

Alternatively, find some kind souls that will wait for you in the cutscenes of all 13 fights.

I did some fresh UwU this week, as Warrior. It's not as bad as it looks. Got to suppression after 4 hours. Somehow did Predation and Annihilation right the first time we got to Ultima lol Though I tank priviledged an Ifrit aftershock during Anni. It barely hurt.

More grinding of course

Thordan EX weapons are kinda ugly and it's a shame it seems that's what they're gonna base the new Ultimate weapons on.

Aww, just had a 2% enrage on an all tank p1s. And it was perfectly clean. We had unfortunately one DRK and one GNB really underperforming. It was funny tho. Like no healing required. Comp was 3 WAR, 1 PLD, 3 DRK, 1 GNB.

Alright. So in about 2 years, FFXIV whole main story will be available as a solo experience, except for 8-player boss battles (which are just 3 bosses per expansion). Yoshi-P specifically mentioned it's because they wanna address all the FF fans that say "I've played all FF games but XI and XIV don't count" lol

Well it depends why you died. If you were using cds and still died, not really your fault. If you took unnecessary damage because you didn't move out of ram's voice or something, then that's a general issue, not a tank issue. So it depends.

I think you don't have to Freeze spam anymore with EW changes? At the very least, AoE before Freeze can be just Fire II and new Blizzard II as needed.

You can also use the opposite element at 0 MP at like level 40 I think instead of it being a 70+ thing. So Flare can see more use as soon as you get it.

Oh yeah, and it's Blizzard II that gives you Unbral Ice 3 now. Not Freeze. And Fire II gives you Astral Fire 3 so no need to Fire III either.

Did p1s-p3s as paladin. Buffs are real.

I imagine the Final Day EX will be 6.1 tho.
