Do you remember when the USWNT was in the news cycle about equal pay and the media jumped all over it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLeAWuRbObQ Turns out they declined to accept the exact same deal the men's team had, in favor of a different labor deal structure, and out earned the men's team for the last 5 straight years in total pay and per game play. They basically declined the men's deal, signed their own deal which greatly favored them, then sued because they didn't have the men's deal + their benefits in their labor deal structure. But the national media didn't tell you that. |
