Yknow, Ive always had issues trying to edit the Board 8 wiki. It just goes to the loading screen and wont go beyond that.

Know that feel. Wikia used to just have a stripped-down Wikipedia-like interface, or the option to remain in that. Then this year, they removed that and now we're forced to deal with this flashy but often unreliable thing while editing.

The only way I ever managed to edit anything is to click on the arrow and using the classic editor.
It seems the new fancy editor just doesn't work.

Best case for Zelda now is to at least keep this match respectable, so that the bandwagon can continue growing and people will want to give her a second chance. It's still a longshot, but deep down we all wanna be lawbreakers.

She should still end up looking better than Mario (not that Mario would look respectable at all in that match)

Well I did my usual check on NordVPN and I have to say there has been more stuffing this match than I have ever seen.

Id say 50% of the servers worldwide have been used to vote in this contest.

If anyone on here uses NordVPN check for yourself.

Chrono Trigger 100% wins that 2015 contest without Melee/Undertale rallies. There was just no way that game was losing.

If OoT needed, it would have rallied past CT.
Zelda might not have mega rallies but it still have enough rally power to get pass a few % differences if needed.
And considering how there is nowhere to counter rally for CT, I don't think it could have been stopped.

By the way: I'm currently making the X-stats for Division 1-4 (they're fairly easy to do, while 5-8 are going to suck), and everyone looks hilariously weak because of how strong Link is. Zidane gets 23% on him.

So how are you going to handle the totally logical legends brackets like Mario/Zelda and Samus/Mario ?
If strength can vary that much in a few days, that's going to be a mess.

Strange that yet again Mega Man shows the same trends as X against Tifa, but it remains the received knowledge that Tifa won with hentai rallies. And now we talk of Zelda winning with the same method.

I could write a fair discourse on why the antiquated board 8/stats topic uses hentai and TJF to rationalise female characters winning close matches against their established order, but it would take too much time and I can't be bothered so I will just say... lol board 8

To be fair, there are rallies topics with hundreds of upvotes.
Now, they might not convert into votes but if you have the choice between a boring and a funny explanation, you should pick the funny one.

It's weird those trends were a character has the hardest time trying to break the final barrier and take the lead but once he does, he usually build up his own lead quite quickly.

Honestly even assuming 450 rallied votes for Zelda, that still means it would have been a very close match.

And that match had no business being that close considering Snake, Samus and Sonic.

Sonic being <40% on Samus is a lot worse than he's ever been in the past. He's currently getting 38%. Even if you assume that Samus is the #2 on this site which she is it's just embarrassing. He's not supposed to be that far off from say, Crono, and Crono gets like 45% on Cloud.

But maybe Cloud is also pretty bad now !

I don't think it's ever been clearly defined, but I always thought elite meant characters of Noble Nine strength. So, the Noble Nine, and anyone stronger than the weakest Noble Niner.

So you would say we didn't have any non NN elite until this contest ?
Or would Pikachu's results last year against Crono(and Magus) have been considered close enough ?

So after a question on the discord about whether Zelda was considering an elite before this contest, I noticed there doesn't seem to be a wiki page about that category.

The closest list I found is this one but I wouldn't considere most of the characters on that list as elites (also we appear to have some frauds on that list). The list mentions that high mid carders are called near elites, but I'm pretty sure Elites are supposed to be strong characters who are not in NN so...

Who would you say is an elite ?
I think usually Yoshi and MMX are considered ones, and obviously Pikachu and Zelda seems like they would be in that category too. Tifa is a bit more arguable but might make the cut.

I said there were asteriques years ago.

At this point, it's just a list, it doesn't imply that they are undefeated or even that strong.

I think if it comes to Cloud v. Zelda the site will blink and realize that they are about to have a Link vs. Zelda grand final unless they come to their senses. And they will snap out of it and vote for Cloud.

Mario could have debatable matches though.
He didn't beat Samus by that much
