If they were nuts, how come tofu has "contains soy" instead of "contains nuts" on the allergen information? Why is soybean oil a hyponym of vegetable oil? Soybeans come in a soft pod, NOT A SHELL. By that logic, bananas and oranges would be nuts.

Thank you, and have a safe November.

Yes he did, and I'd even argue that it was the entire point of this topic. He includes a (?) after just about everything in the original post, indicating that he's seeking clarification on those points, or at least wants to get an idea of how far off he is before starting the game.

Anybody with the ability to process words in context knew that the *spoilers* tag is because the TC plans to post spoilers as they log their playthrough, NOT because they were asking for more of them.

The spoilers tag is a warning that there are potential spoilers in a topic. It's that simple. It applies to every single post in that topic, it's not somehow magically restricted to just the OP.

Personally, I feel I never get the chance to fully articulate my thoughts because I get shut down or moderated so often that my points aren't even responded to directly, and people will just move onto another topic without addressing my input. Awhile back I said something that I know to be 100% true, and you all just brushed the point off because of a lack of experience.

I was talking about how I once had to put down an injured bird and how traumatizing it was to work up to killing it. I talked about how after I'd worked up to hitting it with a shovel, I kept hitting it over and over, more times than the average person would assume is necessary to kill the animal. I used this as an allegory for when people are found murdered with 30+ stab wounds, pointing out that once someone has made that first commitment to stabbing someone, it's almost a sense of mercy that can lead to someone stabbing another person so many times. It's not always malice or some desire to see the person hurt more; if anything, it's wanting them to die more quickly so they don't suffer for too long.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying murderers are compassionate, but I do believe wholeheartedly that some of those heinous crimes have a weird element of mercy in them (for example, when someone mag dumps a person to ensure they're dead and not suffering). CE users completely shut down the point with "No, you're just a psychopath if you stab someone more than once" and it didn't go any further. But you know what? I really was onto something there. And it could have been explored further without your self righteousness stepping in the way.

Let me explain something to you people. Those who can't defend themselves physically will parse information through a consensus filter as a safety mechanism. They would absolutely never ask the question "Is this true?" Instead, they can only ever ask "Would others be okay with me thinking this is true?" It causes them to become incredibly malleable to brute-force manufactured consensus.

Think of it this way. If every screen they look at says the same thing, they will inevitably adopt that position, not because they believe it, but because their brain interprets it as everyone in the tribe believing it. Only high-T alpha males and aneurotypical high-IQ individuals like myself are actually free to parse new information with an objective "Is this true?" filter. This is why a Republic of high-status males is the ONLY way to govern a society and handle all decision making. It's democratic, but a democracy only for those who are free to think. The only way forward for our civilization.

Therefore, with all of that said, I think it's pretty obvious that I need to be made a moderator or administrator of this website as soon as possible.

Long story but you kinda have to play the game. The planet heals itself with "mako energy" and he's trying to summon a meteor to cause a huge wound where all the mako will collect and he'll be all-powerful.

I'm already technically a landlord, but it's not what you think. I own land in Eritrea, a small country in Africa. And I would HIGHLY recommend you do the same.

The thing is, you can't legally own land in Eritrea. You can only lease it from the state, a shadowy communist regime that models itself on the Stasi.

However, Asmara is known as one of the most beautiful cities in Africa, and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. That's because large parts of the city were built by Italian Fascists using design elements from art deco, futurism, and modernist construction. Eritrean women are widely known as the most beautiful women of Africa, and the capital city of Asmara has a 4:1 women to men ratio. It's also one of the safest capitals in Africa, thanks in part to the omnipresent secret police force.

Assuming either a regime change or a gradual liberalization of the economy, Asmara is set to become a booming tourist destination. Getting in on the ground floor of that would be akin to getting a piece of the pie when the Soviet Union fell. Lack of private property would mean everything is up for grabs, and with the current state of things Eritrea has nowhere to go but up. If I was OP I would spend some time there, try to forge some connections, and be ready to bribe the right people at the right time. The risk would be about the same, but it would be a lot more interesting than gambling on stocks or something.

In the upcoming 2024 election, the Democrats are going to nominate Lily Orchard, and the Republicans will run Joshua Burner.

Joshua Burner (aka "Josh Scorcher") is a popular YouTube personality. He is a right-wing Christian military veteran, gamer, and self-admitted brony, who is married with kids. He's the antithesis of cringe political grandstanding, and is a true American.

Lily Orchard is a political Instagram influencer whose entire presence online was created by farming a bunch of drama. She constantly attacks her online rivals as being evil conspiracy theorists, and often advocates for violence against them. She also attacks her own supporters when she deems them too sympathetic to her opponents, and even once had an infamous on-air shouting match with Tucker Carlson before storming off the set. In her personal life, she has left a trail of broken friendships due to her toxic outbursts. She has been widely disliked in virtually every community she has been in because of her extreme authoritarian tendencies and generally fringe opinions. There is also evidence that she wrote several extremely graphic fanfiction stories about various politicians.

Lily Orchard was friends with Joshua Burner a long time ago (back when she was much less politically active), but Burner cut it off due to Orchard slowly becoming more paranoid about him. Orchard proceeded to whine about Burner being evil and sexist for months on end.

I believe that a Presidential election between these two is honestly going to result in Joshua Burner winning all 50 states, and Lily Orchard only winning Washington D.C. Burner is your typical center-right politician who is charismatic and likeable with clear values. Orchard has just had so much baggage lately that she appeals to nobody except for what's left of her online subscribers. She is generally regarded as someone who probably shouldn't be trusted with power. Burner is able to turn out the Republican base and sway independents, with many Democrats potentially flipping to either Burner or a third-party candidate en masse. Upon losing, Orchard will likely once again go back to creating Instagram posts wishing death upon Josh Burner.

Who do you all think would win this election?

I sometimes send bills to companies for "money transfer" services. In most cases they don't pay, but when they do, I get free money. My company's website clearly states that it offers services of you transferring money to me by paying my unsolicited bills. That's the entire service. If you pay the bill, you received the service, and thus can't complain. I do offer a 1 month full refund, just to avoid most lawsuits. I get a lot of repeat orders from large companies with bad accountants. Keep in mind, it's technically not a scam though, because I've already been challenged in court and I got off with lawyer fees paid.

No. It was a valid lawsuit because she had third-degree burns on six percent of her body and she had to be hospitalized for eight days. She had to undergo skin grafting. McDonald's kept the coffee at 185 degrees, which is far hotter than it needed to be. After the lawsuit, the franchise in question dropped the temperature to 158 degrees. She only originally asked for McDonald's to pay her medical bills, but they refused.

And before you say it, no she wasn't driving the car; her grandson was. The car was also not moving at the time.

I mean, your argument seems completely reasonable, but I just can't have too much sympathy for her. Maybe it's because my grandmother would never have been this naive with a teenage driver. And of course, she would have known about the dangers of coffee before anyone.

The thing is, when I was 19, she'd usually drink 2 12-ounce cups of McDonald's coffee on the way to school. I bet she survived because she was used to drinking coffee and not getting burned. Anyway, the lawsuit probably shouldn't have gone anywhere. If a kid got in an accident where a driver dropped a bag of fries on the kid's head, would the boy get a lawyer and win a bunch of money from McDonald's? No way a lawyer could win that.

Even if McDonald's were found negligent in the accident, he'd have to file a personal injury claim, which generally includes some sort of compensation for the injury, and damages.

He'd probably also have to sue McDonald's at the corporate level, because negligence in Texas is a form of legal action. He'd also have to prove McDonald's negligent (i.e. McDonald's was aware of a problem with their fries that resulted in his head injury). But here's the thing, McDonald's would counterclaim for injuries (the lawsuit from the kid) because McDonald's has to cover their legal bills.

Interesting that you should post a screenshot from an episode of Spongebob Squarepants. Aside from the fact that the main character works in a fast food restaurant, you can't help but be bothered by the many similarities between the two franchises.

In fact, it's been rumored that McDonald's actually got permission from Nickelodeon to borrow its characters from the show for the McDonald's character Happy Meal toys, and the only reason it's never been revealed is because McDonald's would rather not take the publicity hit that would be required.

The two companies have even been known to cross-promote their products in TV shows or TV commercials. In one episode of Spongebob, the Krusty Krab employees were making burgers and fries. When Spongebob tried one, he says it tasted just like McDonald's burgers.

When Nickelodeon started producing The Amanda Show in 1996, to compete with the show's namesake, Amanda Bynes, McDonald's executives noticed the show was attracting some teenage girls from their audience, so they targeted them too.

What the fuck are you even on about, how is rightfully suing strictly for medical costs trying to take down McDonalds rofl

Rightfully? Are you entirely sure about that? I would like to point out that, according to McDonald's own statistics, their sales have not been affected by either of these lawsuits.

What's the matter? Are you too afraid of the world's most profitable corporation? What's up with that? Are you having a bad week?

Well, I'll tell you what. Let's talk about the truth. Let's talk about the reality of these lawsuits. Let's look at what the facts are. McDonald's has a system to ensure that the coffee that they sell has very low levels of caffeine. This has been an industry-wide practice. There is no other restaurant that has a lower level of caffeine.

When you see the coffee with a label that says 'low caffeine,' it's not because McDonald's has a new secret weapon, and it's not because McDonald's has created a new coffee that has a higher level of caffeine than anybody else's coffee. It's because of their business strategy. Same with the hot coffee.

The truth about the lawsuit is that it's a case where you are suing McDonald's for the benefit of their competitors in the coffee industry. A class action against McDonald's that tries to use coffee as a means to take down one of the world's most profitable corporations, is an injustice. I don't want to use the word "shakedown," because McDonald's actually has nothing to do with the case.

What the plaintiffs in the hot coffee lawsuit have done is come in, and say, "We're going to use coffee to take down McDonald's." What is wrong with this? What is wrong with saying, "I'm going to come in and sue McDonald's for trying to keep its competitors out of your business, because I don't want you to compete against my friend"? You are allowed to compete against the world's most profitable corporation, but you can't say, "Don't go in their business." So this is an attempt to use a case to attack one of the most profitable corporations.

Strategic vision: Trump has a strong strategic vision, which he uses to guide his companies and the nation. He is able to see the big picture and identify opportunities for growth and innovation. This is what our country needs because we are in crisis and must have something to work towards.

Economic expertise: Trump has a deep understanding of the world of finance and currency. He is able to make informed decisions that benefit millions of people and can communicate this wealth of knowledge to the masses. This is ideal for a country that is falling behind economically. Trump can lead us into a financial renaissance.

Leadership: Trump is a skilled leader who is able to inspire and motivate people. He is able to build strong relationships with his employees and is known for his collaborative approach to leadership. This is essential for a country that has been divided by decades of poor leadership.

Innovation: Trump is known for his innovative thinking and is always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what is possible. He encourages his teams to think outside the box and is not afraid to take risks. This will allow us to reclaim our status as the #1 innovator in the world.

Business acumen: Trump has a strong business background and is able to make sound financial decisions for his companies. He is able to identify opportunities for growth and is able to navigate his companies through changing market conditions. This is critical for a country which has massive budget deficits and is lacking in leadership with business experience.

Overall, Donald Trump's combination of strategic vision, economic expertise, leadership skills, innovation, and business acumen will undoubtedly make him the greatest President in our lifetimes, cementing his legacy in the history books as one of the greatest human beings to ever live.

I have this fantasy where we start talking at the bar during a Harvard Alumni networking event. We exchange a few pleasantries. SBAllen asks what I do. I say I loved the expos on GameFAQs in The Economist. She laughs. I get my drink.

"Well, see ya," I say and walk away. I've got her attention now. How many guys voluntarily leave a conversation with SBAllen? She touches her neck as she watches me leave.

Later, as the night drags on and the coterie of gorgeous narcissists grows increasingly loose, she finds me on the balcony, my bowtie undone, smoking a cigarette.

"Got a spare?" she asks.

"What's in it for me?" I ask, as I hand her one of my little white ladies. She smiles.

"Conversation with me, duh."

I laugh.

"What's so funny?" she protests.

"Nothing, nothing... It's just... Don't you grow tired of running GameFAQs?"

"You get used to it," she says, lighting her cigarette and handing me back the lighter.

"What would you do if you weren't taking care of the site?" I ask.

"Teaching, I think."

"And if I were your student, what would I be learning?"

"Discipline," she says quickly, looking up into my eyes, before changing the subject. "Where are you from?"

"Florida," I say.

"Oh wow. That's lovely."

"It's nice," I admit. "I mean, not everything is to my liking."

"What could possibly be not to your liking in Florida?" she inquires.

"I don't like sand," I tell her. "It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere."

Counterfeit prescription drugs is a thing

Well yeah, it would be illegal to sell counterfeit drugs to actual patients who have been prescribed the drug. I doubt that would apply to someone selling to a bunch of random people who use it to study for exams.

Man, I forget that some of you guys are basement dwelling nerds sometimes lol

You really think asking a question makes someone a snitch? He didn't give out any identifying info, and if anything, he's an "accomplice" for knowing this is going on.

So so so tryhard to be cool.

And who's going to talk to the police anyway? "Yes, hello officer, I was trying to buy some illegal drugs and he scammed me! Help!"

Almost 100% to college students. So basically he buys caffeine pills, engraves them with the adderall numbers, and then dips them in a mixture of yellow and orange food coloring to resemble real orange adderall pills. He has made thousands of dollars doing this and apparently nobody notices, most likely a combination of caffeine's stimulant effects, the placebo effect, and ignorance of real adderall. This isn't illegal, right? I mean, let's say the cops pull him over and they find the "adderall" and then they test it, they will clearly find that it's a legally obtainable caffeine pill dyed orange. What can they do about it? Is selling a legal substance under the guise of an illegal substance illegal?
