I think I'm getting back to where I was at my best a year or so ago. Lower abs are still a bit nonexistent though, and chest needs a lot of work. I've been eating around 2200-2500 calories, think I'll see what happens if I bump it up to 3000 and try to cut back on the sugar a bit. At around 5'9", 135-140 lbs. right now -- I'm not quite sure what weight I want to be at in the long run but I think I wanna see what happens if I push it up to the 145-150 range.

I feel like I've been making nice progress. A handful of months ago, I got a weight bench from my mom's house that no one was using and ever since I've had this pretty standard weekly light exercise routine, some occasional jogging and I've been trying to eat/drink certain things while avoiding others. Lately, friends have been making nice comments about body and I can't tell you how much hearing stuff like that encourages me to keep it up!
Nice, I hope you stick with it! I hear tons of people talking about how you should do it for yourself and for your health, but tbh for me there's nothing nicer than getting compliments and realizing other people can see the difference. Makes it all feel more worthwhile.

Nice man. I should get into running and be a badass like you guys.

I got off of my schedule slightly, so I'm going to combine two workouts into one this week. It's a deload week, which should be perfect. Gonna do ohp and squats today.

Given I won't get another full cycle of 531 in this year I guess I can assess my progress since I started lifting in January.

Squat:
115x5 -> 240x7
Deadlift:
115x5 -> 245x8
Bench:
115x5 -> 167.5x2
Overhead press:
65x5 -> 110x5

Weighed 185 when the year started, got down to 154, weighing 163-165 atm.

I'm glad I stuck with it but overall I'm pretty dissatisfied. I let myself get sidetracked too many times throughout the year. I lost 9 weeks of workouts, which woul l have possibly meant another 20-30 lbs on my lower body lifts and another 10-15 on my upper body lifts. Not to mention sticking to my diet.

But at least my reaction to that it to try harder in 2021 instead of just giving up or something
Man, that's awesome. I'd kill for such clear and obvious progress instead of going around and around in circles. I'm over here hanging my hat on 13 push-ups instead of 11.

I've been doing a lot of incline walking on my treadmill in addition to running, and it seems to be having a nice effect on my calves. I've always had chicken legs and they're still definitely way more skinny than muscular, but it's nice to notice a little bit of progress. Now if only it worked that way everywhere else!

This one hurts. My original account was made in 2009, but I started using it less and less to post since I used that same name for online gaming and wanted to have more privacy I guess. The phrase fursona non grata came into my head one day and I went with it. I havent logged into my original account in quite a while.

Admirals take on vegy is the only thing I ever agreed with him on, and there are many other users who fee the same way.
I really wouldn't know. I know very little about either The Admiral or you. Just thought it was strange because while I've seen plenty of people who dislike vegy, I don't recall seeing anybody else argue that vegy's th->d gimmick is an attempt to attract and groom underage girls. Seemed like kind of an out-there take, and it was odd to see it re-stated nearly word-for-word by someone else.

This, I guess. My dad was a loopy, friendly drunk, which I guess is something. But alcohol was the true love of his life. He was a workaholic, and the first thing he did after getting off work was get drunk (usually on the ride home). Looking back, I never really knew him sober when I was a kid. If he wasn't working, he was drinking. I just ... didn't want to be like that.

Welp, not off to a great start. I was walking on my treadmill to warm up and my legs felt a little tight, so I started kinda high-stepping to try to loosen them up. Got a little too enthusiastic and drove my left knee right into the treadmill control panel. Thankfully the treadmill seems okay, but my knee's all swollen. I'm a very clever man.

Not as well as I would like. Had to drop 6 pounds from my bench presses (down to like 135 lol :( ), and my running is suffering too. I need to get my shit together. I'm going to do a little restart day where I do as many weighted chin-ups as I can and spend hours on the treadmill. I want to be as sore as possible tomorrow, I miss that feeling.

I think what I loved most about her was her playful, almost mischievous side. She often had this weird lopsided half-smile kind of look to her. When she was young her favorite game was tag. She would bump me on the back of the leg and run away and keep looking at me longingly until I chased her. She could effortlessly outrun me then, and she would tear around in circles until my stamina ran out. She also loved to put her frisbee down and pretend to be engrossed in other things and wander away from it, but as soon as I made the smallest move toward it (even though she was facing the other direction) she would always know immediately and race me to it. She never lost that playful side even when she was older. Here's her at 12, already old and white around the muzzle, daring me to go for the frisbee and half-smiling for the camera.

Wanna talk about it? How old were they?
I've known it was coming for a while. She was 14, which is obviously about as long as you could expect a yellow lab to live. It's just so strange. I'm 30 years old, and tomorrow will be the first day I haven't had a dog. She's been there for nearly half my life now. My mom got her when she was dying, and then passed her on to me. She was kind of a last link to my mom. The two dogs I had growing up were extraordinarily stupid, and I was really drawn to her because she was much cleverer. She could do all sorts of tricks and knew more words than the other 2 combined. So perfectly behaved and friendly. These past couple months have been pretty hard on her, and I'm glad her suffering is over.
