He doesn't have a name. He's a stray at the diner where I work, though we really shouldn't be keeping animals around, even outside. Must be tough living outside when it's sub-10 f. Took him months to let me near him, but he loves having his ears scratched. He shies away from your hand when you go to pet him until the end, when he actually jumps up into your hand.

Almost 1/3 of the way there! Just gotta keep pushing, it would be so cool if I could get to 7 figures.

What a glorious month for HFEA. UPRO up 26.5% while TMF is up 34%. Roth all the way up to $13.4k! Of course I've contributed $17,957 total.

I'm convinced that the market is never going to go down again. We're in the clear.

What I really like about StS (and many roguelikes) is that there's a ton of randomness but 99% of the time when you lose it was because you made the wrong decisions.

No, it's always because the game cheated. At least in my experience.

I asked my dad about his past wages. He says he was making around $5/hour at age 13ish for a couple hours' janitorial work in local shops before school in 1971ish, and $10/hour at 14/15ish to do some seasonal logging work after school. First full-time job he thinks he started around $7.50/hour as a mechanic. I know it was enough that he had bought at least 3 cars before he turned 20, and a couple houses before he settled in the one where he still lives now by around 30. Today naturally he's flat broke because he never had any idea how to save money.
