Ive never understood this whole notion that you have to stop being a fan of something youve always been a fan of once you hit some arbitrary age. If it happens naturally then whatever but if you still like it you still like it.

I think it has a lot to do with how you present your liking of a series to others; if you calmly explain that you find it endearing and what parts you find interesting, most people will be accepting; if you fanboy like crazy and insult other YA series while touting HP as the end all be all of the genre then people are going to call you a manchild.

Not this one but I did read a bit of BioMega and a LOT of Knights of Sidonia which were by the same guy. Never finished KoS because I was reading it during release and got caught up with other series.

Not surprising since Japan is THE country for handhelds.
Heck, PS3 games have been available to play on phones there for almost a decade.
Its via streaming of course but their infrastructure is so much better than other countries sans South Korea that there's a lot less issues with it.

Not really but there was a period of several months following my college graduation where I was actively avoiding looking for a job or studying for graduate school entrance exams.
I even had former professors and employers questioning me why I decided to take those months off.

But in all seriousness, a similar thing happened to my dad's laptop awhile back where he dropped it with a USB plugged into the back and dislocated the board containing the power button (which you can physically see after detaching the keyboard).
IIRC, the trickiest part was reattaching the ribbons that connect the keyboard to the motherboard. Admittedly, my brother had to do that for me since my hands aren't steady enough.

Personally, private entities shouldn't be willed by the government into doing anything unless they're actively hurting others; refusing to bake a cake via discrimination isn't harmful to anyone.

Why should people who have no part of the internet politics community be subject to the same rules that those people make up?
A good analog that works in the reverse direction is the person who interrupted Bernie in that interview a some years ago; they were wearing a white t-shirt that said something to the effect of "sipping on white tears" while treating Mr. Sanders as someone whose opinion didn't matter because of his skin color. Never mind that Bernie was a huge supporter of the civil rights movement several decades ago when he lived through it.
At heart, this whole "white person who doesn't want to objectified and treated differently because of their skin color" thing is just another us vs them tactic that wannabe politicians on the internet use to divide people. I'm not a fan of it and you shouldn't be either.

Who says? Some internet group that's angry at some scummy neo nazis? Its the basic sentiment behind the message that speaks to people. They see no racist overtones but I assure they feel offended when the media portrays people of their skin color as evil.
Not everyone who gets offended by something on tv, radio, or facebook has a persecution complex nor are they a neo nazi.
It just feels like the people getting worked up to the point of giving phrases multiple meanings and claiming everyone who agrees with the phrase is racist, need to get a dose of the real world and how people feel about these things outside of the internet.
Its literally the same thing with people who claim the sayers of "all lives matter" and "I can't be racist because I have non-white friends" are racist.

I find a lot of non-racist people say it because they don't really buy into the whole internet politics scene and they just straight up feel targeted when the media makes them feel targeted.
