long story short, guy in our office died of a heart attack a few months ago. i didn't know him very well, and he wasn't the most well-liked guy around here, but he did his job well, ok?

Yes there is.
View it and then click the little "settings" tab and click "Mark as unread". It won't show as seen after that.
I guess it will be marked as "seen" temporarily, but, just be quick I guess.
