Yes, its good. Base 130 hp, 100 spec def, typing that lets it ignore toxic spikes, and Unaware lets him ignore setup sweepers with 4x attack/spec attack.

Electrode, Flygon, Starmie come to mind. Some of them had limelight in previous generations but thats long gone.

I've been rewatching Code Geass! One of my favorite parts is that Lelouch is *very flawed* despite being a super genius. Dude thinks he's this cold calculating monster but he cares for the people close to him and lets it cloud his decisions more often than not. He also buckles under pressure sometimes when his Xanatos gambits aren't going completely his way. So often do "supergenius strategist" characters work because the plot bends over backwards for them, but Lelouch really feels like he earns it when he backs his opponent into a corner with his strategies. He's very well written.

I haven't gotten back to Season 2 yet, I know thats when the show gets *weird* but S1 Lelouch is a good one.

My LLQ is very mildly sore but only for a second very intermittently. Like maybe once every 30-40 minutes I feel something so subtle I don't know if its imaginary or real. My job's very physical so I'm thinking it might just be soreness from constant movement but I'm a severe hypochondriac and can't stop thinking about it. Anyone else experience stuff like this?

Worth noting I had a bad cough for 3 weeks that seems to just be a remnant cough now, wondering if the constant coughing might be exasperating job soreness.

If they just seamlessly include all services on the Switch in the Switch 2, make it fully backwards compatible, basically make it a huge upgrade rather than a "new" console, I'd be so happy.

Final Fantasy 7, finished the Switch port today. Made the mistake of grinding a little bit and getting ultimate weapons so Sephiroth got dunked, uh, rather quickly.

Game still mostly holds up even if its mechanically boring. One of the better stories written for the series, bad translation and all.

Its good it was caught in stage 1. Survival rates on cancer caught early are usually very good. Keep your chin up and hope for the best!

Crusher is pretty much the most boring character in the show so the replacement wasn't a big deal. Pulaski was also mid as hell though so, eh?

ok now to be fair, FF7 is an incredibly easy game so almost everything is "viable". Picking "Fight" or using random offensive magic will do the job for like 90% of the game with only a couple of glaring difficulty spikes (materia keeper, childhood me is lookin at you.)

but what Kanz says is true, most options in the game are kind of garbage. even as a kid, after a point, I just decided to flood my materia slots with "HP up" and mash attack for almost everything. The original game is great for a lot of things but gameplay is NOT one of those reasons, I'd go so far to say a its a major regression even from some of its prequels.

What is it with good Sonic games having awful final bosses? It seems like we either get bad Sonic games or actually good ones that go great until they screw up the landing at the very end LOL

Like I can understand saying that things above 60 FPS is excessive and unnecessary, but if you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 FPS you need to see an optometrist.

Believe what you want, my eyes are fine. Certain games you might be able to tell but I've never been impressed with anything above 30fps 1080p. Anything higher seems like completely unnecessary extravagance. The culture around it is disgusting, we had a generation of avid video game players that would tell you "graphics don't matter" but they're seemingly all gone now, everyone is drinking the FPS and resolution kool-aid.

Frame rates above 30 in many cases are barely noticeable and I absolutely hate that we've turned it into the de facto metric to decide if a game is good or not. We really regressing back to "64 bits is more than 32!"
