I generally call out people with nostalgia but they're pretty right in this case. Sometime in the late 2010s is when corporates really started going overdrive with the greed and it's also when internet restriction bills started passing with less opposition. More sites are gated behind log-ins, more sites are restricted, more sites are cutting features, more sites care more about ads than their userbase, decade old sites shut down with new sites being a lot less consumer-friendly/healthy.
It used to be that you could search anything you want and get it. Nowadays it's HARDER to find things you want with how many google results are stripped away by companies. No more caches either.

The way l understand it, l could be wrong, they first turn the board private for mods only.
Then they delete everything in it and turns off the ability to create topics.
They do this, instead of just deleting it, to prevent things to break anything that links to it.
Which means that yes, they can be re-opened as empty boards if they really want to.

I still have politics post in my archived message posts so no they're still there.

LUE was canned due to an active real life incident involving a death and closed by CJayC who gave people sign-ups. All these recent closures are due to a Fandom policy that is void if we left Fandom.

It's a joke. Isekai is just an oversaturated genre that most people are sick of yet casuals seem to lap up like Battle Royales in gaming. Dante's Inferno and Alice in Wonderland are the Isekais ahead of their time.

Well yeah, they all have manga spaces, but I have never in my life seen a store where it was more than like a couple of shelves to maybe a whole aisle if the bookstore is just enormous.

I've seen a few aisles but now that you mention it, taking up the majority of the bookstore seems a bit tall. I assume she's referring to just a section like the front of a shop or something.

The confession comes from Stephanie Stine as the Kung-Fu Panda 4 co-director did a Q&A on Discord with fans. When asked about the shift in America's taste for animation, Stine said they love seeing more serious stories animated, but executives in Hollywood are still at a loss.
"I freaking love it!! Especially since so many audiences these days have grown up on more mature stories everywhere. I think in most bookstores for example, the manga/anime section takes up a majority of the floor space. But here's the catch: a lot of people in charge of the finances of making a movie think that audiences don't like these kinds of stories," she shared.
"I'm not sure why. Every time I've talked to an executive, they've told me that yes they totally see the influence and impact anime has had on the world. But no we will not do that. It's the highest of miracles to me that Spider-Verse was made in America."
Hollywood is a fickle beast that early adopts some trends while leaving other lucrative industries behind. In the case of anime, it has fallen into the latter category. The industry was seen as niche decades ago, but thanks to the Internet, anime has become incredibly accessible. The industry commands an impressive (and lucrative) fandom across the globe, and its profits show. In the domestic box office, titles like Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia have made bank. So hopefully, Hollywood gets its act together on anime ASAP.

Political discussion that's relevant to a game-specific topic is one of the examples a lead mod said was ok in the Feedback thread and that same mod used #BLM as an example that while political, was allowed on military uniforms so the same should apply here.
