I was wondering what happened in Ukraine since I havent kept up with it. I dont about Chiles chances against their government.

Oh so the Ukraine situation as far as I understand.

Ukraine broke away from the Russia and its Soviet Union past by 1991 and has since then received aid from Western, democratic countries including the U.S. in their fight to become a democracy and shed their dark past.

In 2013 or 14 Russia launched new attacks on Ukraine in an effort to annex it. This resulted in a revolt and the corrupt, Russian-allied president of the country was kicked out and has since taken asylum in Russia. Since then the U.S. (under Trump) has increased aid, specifically offensive military aid that we were never giving before, in an effort to help Ukraine remain autonomous, root out corruption, and limit casualties in this ongoing stand-off with Russia.

Confidence in that arrangement was shaken when Trump threatened the new president of Ukraine that he would withhold that aid until the Ukrainian administration dug up dirt on one of Trumps domestic political opponents in the upcoming 2020 election.

Its interesting to note that within Christianity, its intended for the church to be the supporting group for an individual, or a small family. Id be interested to see if the medieval church actually properly substituted a church clan in place of a family-based one.

Once upon a time before I was interested in cooking I went to a ramen restaurant, paid $20 for it, and felt like it was far too much money for what is ostensibly
a bowl of noodle soup. The chef was a friend and I told him as much. He smiled and said "do you have any idea how much work went into that noodle soup?"

I kind of figured he was just being a typically defensive chef and left it at that. Years later I decided to try making tonkotsu ramen.

It was easily the most laborious and time consuming thing I've ever tried to do in a kitchen. I spent $50 in ingredients and maybe 3-4 days of fairly consistent work to try and get that bowl of fucking noodle soup together.

So yeah I have a profound respect for ramen places now, and if anyone ever says "cooking is easier and cheaper than eating out" I will say "Not always, have you tried making proper ramen before?"
