I was super addicted to it and came dangerously close to failing my senior year of highschool because of the sheer amount of hours I dumped into it in just 2 months. (I was graduating that may when it dropped in NA january 31st 2001. That is how much I played this damn game, lol). Got into yelling matches with my mom because she used to get on me for how much I clogged up the phone line with that game on the dreamcast. (Her friends and acquaintances used to page her to complain about not being able to get through when I was on the net). When I got the broadband adapter for the gamecube and we swapped the internet over to that sweet AT&T DSL it was like magic to me.

Some of the friends I met in this game became my life-long friends IRL with two of them becoming my best friends. My older brother met my boy's older brother and so they started hanging out in their own online gaming groups. The group of online gamers I chilled with across the original xbox, champions of norrath, everquest online and resident evil outbreak on the PS2, the xbox 360, the wii, the PS3, the PS4, wii u, all the online capable portables, maple story for a short time, world of warcraft, city of heroes, xbox one, steam, and the PS5?.....that exact same phantasy star online friend group+our family and friends.

Yeah, game had a community so awesome I legit created friends for life because of this game.

I would easily do it all over again. Phantasy star online episode 1 and 2 on the gamecube is my favorite video game of all-time.

I also agree that phantasy star online 2 is ass and that while it is neat the fans keep the older games alive via fan-servers I desire a true successor to what PSO blue burst or hell even phantasy star portable 2 infinity was.

Dude that is fucking sick. My brother and I would go over our cousins house once a week for HOURS of 4 player splitscreen. Every week. Good times.

I play on Ephinea. I have a level 200 FOnewm I named Enuo, after the FFV superboss. I also have a HUcast well into the 100s. Let's play some time.

It is one of my top 5 favorite series of all time. Online play was an absolute fucking joy growing up. My parents paid monthly so my brother and I could lose ourselves in the GameCube version lol. So glad private servers exist.

C.A.R.D. Revolution was fantastic as well, but it never got re released and the PC version was canceled.

Fun show and Usagi is great, but damn it got repetitive. People were not exaggerating at all lol.

One of the weakest long runners I've seen, but at least the characters and soundtrack are nice.

Don't take it for granted. Make sure you stay stocked up in case you get screwed on your benefits. Trust me, having a nice supply of food that'll last you will help a lot in keeping your stress down so you can focus on bettering your situation.

I have plenty of food now. I doubt I have anything to worry about for the next couple weeks at the very least.

The atmosphere is *extremely* similar, and it took direct inspiration from Zelda.

Idk man I'm not sure I'm feeling it. It just makes me want to go back to Okami which I have not finished. They are basically the same game anyway >_>

Wtf how do you not remember all the extra sad ass stories and how the game makes immortality sound as fucking horrible as it probably would be?

The extra stories were definitely great but it's basically one of the only real highlights of the game to me.

Also, I liked the twist at the end of Blue Dragon. I don't remember anything like that being pulled in LO.

Why did that game stay 360 exclusive? As far as I know, it never got ported to anything at all. Yet it got not one, but TWO sequels on the DS.

It wasn't the greatest game in the world, but it had art by Toriyama and a fun job system. Some decent music too. Final boss theme was done by Nobuo Uematsu.

I put this in my other topic as well, but this is totally worth another one, considering food has been a stumbling block in my path for well over a year now.

They gave me $190 this month, and I'll be getting nearly 400 every month after. I requested a new card that I'm still waiting on so I still can't use them, but fuck yeah this is major. I don't get excited much these days, but this is big for me.

I have applied for a few jobs, including several Walmarts. Tomorrow I'm going to get my ID renewed, and hopefully make it up to the DMV in the morning (I worked a full shift today). I can renew my ID digitally but I need the physical thing as well.

Talked to my manager a bit and I'm going to try staying as long as I'm allowed, hope I get more hours, and apply for other jobs in the meantime.

I think this might be the single most intense sequence in the entire series.

if i sound harsh ITT it's only because again i do recognize the series had immense potential and some great ideas

it's just...the same maniac energy that leads to jrpg/anime stories having such cool premises also seems to lead to executing those stories very poorly when all's said and done and xenosaga felt like that on steroids

a synopsis of the story sounds cool as fuck

It ran into a multitude of budget problems, that's why it felt bloated and poorly executed. Xenosaga 2 completely fucked the series over. Thankfully, 3 did wrap up most of what we did get nicely.

Yes it was pretty fucking messy, but the voice acting was great, the music captured the feel of each game perfectly (especially 1 and 3), the story was gripping right from the start, and I find the whole space aesthetic to be way better than something like the Bionis; it did have planets, but there was a lot of the story that took place in space. It felt super futuristic. Also, the drama was nailed *perfectly* in Xenosaga 3. I absolutely love the Kevin twist and everything about it that happens after, for example. It helps that it had buildup since the very first game. Still one of my favorite twists of all time, because it was one thing in the series that I always felt was done exceptionally well.

And the villains in Xenosaga are way better than the villains in Xenogears or Xenoblade.

I ended up taking a part time job when I did this a few years back with the sole intention of easing myself back in after a couple of years. Honestly, the first few weeks were challenging, anxiety is awful. However, I persevered and I now earn well over 10k more than what I was on as a store manager with much fewer hours.

You gotta start somewhere though.

Hes a GREAT worker. He's actually quite the workaholic and his managers praised him often when he worked at Walmart. So it's definitely the latter.

No. FES was challenging for reasons beyond AI controlled party members.

I wasn't a big fan of the English voice changes. That's another flaw, but at least subbed is an option.

I did do food stamps already; at this point it is literally just me waiting on them to make a decision. I sent my paystub to them last week. A decision can take up to 30 days. I also use food banks whenever I can. It's important to remember that they're only once a month, and I still need Uber money to actually get back home with the food. The entire problem is I cant afford specific things my brother wants replaced all the time, and he's gonna have to accept that or we are gonna have to cut a lot of corners.

We applied my brother for disability once and he got denied. I will admit I have been putting off reapplying for 2 reasons. The first is that whatever he's officially diagnosed with now is apparently not good enough for disability, and getting an adult evaluated for autism is difficult and usually requires a lot of money. I found a place that will put him on a long waiting list and do it for $500. If I dont lose my job, I don't mind saving up for it, but I need more hours before I can save for anything at all. Also with Trump back in office SSI will be even harder to get, so there's that too.

TC, I've mentioned charities, churches and food banks several times to you before. So have many other posters. So you can't say, as you did in your closed thread, that you didn't know about them.

You've got to start doing the practical, boring, routine things that will help your situation. Those are the things that will put you in a better place for dealing with the big stuff.

I was at Walmart tonight, and I was trying to gather money for about $20 worth of groceries (no, I'm not actually hitting people up in person for money). So I was sitting on the bench outside waiting to see if anyone could help out, and this lady walks up to me and asks me if I need anything. I was honest with her about my situation and she offered to pay for a few things. It was only $10 worth but I almost cried on her. Maybe I just felt pathetic idk. Crying over someone spending $10 on you >_>

I also got her number, so that's good I guess? She is a typical fundamentalist Christian it looks like, but hey, a friend is a friend right? She actually asked for mine first not the other way around.

My depression is extremely bad. One simple task like eating or even going to pee I will put off for several hours. I'll grab something, intending to use it, and immediately put it back down and just fall back onto the bed. It is almost midnight and I ate one thing at like 10 PM. Took a few bites and put it down for an hour, slept, then finished it off.

Not only do I feel like I've ruined my life with this stuff, I'm ruining my dignity and relationships. And tonight I'm in my feels about the breakup again, which is compounding everything.

I'll be blunt, from how he's been depicted here I'd say he's taking advantage of you. It may not be intentional on his part and I certainly have sympathy for the events that have led up to this, but that doesn't change the reality that the pair of you are barely getting by and that quite frankly I don't think you are able to be his carer at this point in time. You can't give something that you don't have in the first place.

To your first question, I really dont know either. He is trying to avert the outcome but his motivation will immediately tank if he essentially has nothing and is forced to live inside his room until he finds a job. Without motivation, he won't look for anything, which is affecting me. See the loop I'm in? It's basically "keep supporting him financially until he lands a job".

I am being taken advantage of. No doubts about that

Hes likely heavily autistic and views the world differently from almost everyone. Has a lot of built up anger issues from being verbally abused by our family particularly our grandmother. We were homeschooled and sheltered for 20+ years and have lived together our whole lives so we are stuck together like glue.

Hes had jobs but most of them haven't lasted. He absolutely hates capitalism, and anything to do with not having money will send him into a frenzy. Hes wanting me to help him pay for shit so he can stay motivated to work towards getting a job and helping out
