Super_Slash 07/18/25 10:01:23 PM #1:	Why did that game stay 360 exclusive? As far as I know, it never got ported to anything at all. Yet it got not one, but TWO sequels on the DS. It wasn't the greatest game in the world, but it had art by Toriyama and a fun job system. Some decent music too. The Last Story is a solid title too and pretty much the last console focused game hes done. I think it tried to get a bit of a Dragon Quest looking vibe, but I know basically knowing about this rpg other than it not being any good. It just seemed so forgettable and I probably watched at least a couple youtube videos about it. Disc 1 altogether is kind of a bore, and of the Disc 1 dungeons the shittiest ones are also front-loaded. So I don't blame anyone who tried the game and dropped it. The game itself isn't doing much to keep you enthralled for a while. Disc 2 is when it starts opening up a bit more and finally by Disc 3 it starts to feel like a classic RPG. In terms of gameplay, it's not very complex. The job system is pretty cool. Listening to Deep Purple's Ian Gillan sing in every boss fight is pretty cool. It's impressive they got enough out of it to make a decently long-running anime series. But it's not underrated, or overrated. That's one creative game. I spoiled myself on everything because I probably was never going to play it, but it is certainly an interesting piece of art and rpg.
