Just watched it, think making it based much more around Japan is a great way to revitalize the series. Especially when they talked about how further entries started feeling a bit too westernized and was losing its Japanese identity (Homecoming, Downpour), I'm looking forward to seeing it go a bit more in the other direction for once. And as a big fan of Fatal Frame, can't be mad about getting inspiration from there either!

Yea that's pretty much where I was coming to the conclusion of, we'll see if we find out more info. New Lycaon is totally fine but there's definitely a certain charm missing, the VA is a bit more aggressive in his delivery with him which might very well fit what happens in 1.6 with Lycaon and Hugo but it also makes him sort of more...generic in a way? Not enough to ruin him or anything, but I prefer him being a bit more of the refined butler delivery.

And of course when I log in just to check some stuff out again I give the Burnice signal search a go just because I have some leftover master tapes and I actually get Burnice, after missing her when she first dropped. Also got a Pulchra for good measure.

Looking a bit more into it, it's possible it's neither the old VA's OR Studio Cadence at fault. Sounds like it just might be a mess all around, which given the industry wouldn't be a surprise either.

Also Lycaon's new VA is killing it so far as basically just trying to copy the original one, which sure yea I guess? Congrats to them I suppose

Oh I see it now, the VA studio put out a vague catch all tweet and a voice actor jumped in on it. Curious to see if original Lycaon responds to it. Although it doesn't change Soldier 11's original tweet, whether she was also with Cadence, which means they're saying she's lying too, or not which means some fishy stuff is still going on seemingly.

Except Vegeta on Namek was not ultimately caused because of him, working for Freiza yadda yadda, while Vergil is the literal reason for the Red Grave City incident. "Oh it's his demon side Urizen not Vergil" he actively chose to separate himself to try to defeat Dante, not even for some noble cause you could try to twist into saying is heroic. And not to mention the DMC3 stuff.

Dude's a villain, I love him but he's absolutely not an antihero and he works better for it. Dante's the antihero.

I think they work the song into the trailer better on this one than they do with Limp Bizkit on the opening credits.

I also just found out about the showrunner thinking Vergil is an antihero and not a villain, so I'm a little more worried about the show

Galactus' design is goofy but in a fun way, really dig the purple and blue. I wouldn't say it's like a favorite character design ever for me but it's fun.

Genshin Impact designs are very much a mixed bag to me, though it is unclear how much of it is personal gripe and how much of it is actually bad. The use of colour is great almost consistently, but some outfits are too busy and nonsensical to me (and this is definitely one of them) and uh, look I'll just say it, I hate the fact that they cycle through the same three body types and face types. With a lot of characters this doesn't necessarily bother me, but there's a few that makes me wish they pushed those boundaries more. If someone sent me a Genshin character for a design ranking I would have no idea where they would place!!!!

I would liked to see Lycaon and would have loved to see someone nominate Ben. I love the anthro designs in this game. Too bad Hoyo has dialed back on that a bit.

Yea they did that last month too with one of the games, so looks like it's becoming a trend which is unfortunate. Like already enough people didn't play Wild Hearts, why keep it stuck behind Origin for something like this on top of that (probably wasn't their decision of course, that goes for EA too then)
