What a contrast to MyGo 10.

Sakiko bringing everyone back together in a way that everyone but Uika knows feels completely disengenous, and obligation, just going through motions. It feels like a house made of straw, but Uika doesn't care, then at the very last moment whatever her secret is has come knocking to crash her down to reality. And then the episode preview following a 10 second still shot of the Ave Mujica symbol that's just every close up of Uika that's been in the show so far but with no actual clips from the next episode.

I actually got kinda spoiled that Ave Mujica would reform in this episode thanks to Spotify putting up new songs from them. Though I should have known that it would not be a happy reunion.

Still can't get over Uika showering with all the lights turned out angsting about how she was gonna get cucked by Tomori. HOW DID WE GET HERE.

Every time I open up a new default tab in my phone and that shitty Google recommended for you news feeds pops up, there's ALWAYS an article about how Sakamoto Days is the worst thing to ever happen to the anime industry since the dawn of time. It's always a new one, too. Why? I've never looked up anything about Sakamoto Days of my own accord to fuck with my algorithm. Who at Google has this agenda? Why do half the article titles call out how you should be watching Solo Leveling instead?

Let's think about this a bit. Obviously Google knows you're an anime fan. Those are the two most popular shows of the current season by far. Solo Leveling streams on Crunchyroll, while Sakamoto Days is on Netflix. A motivated company could presumably manipulate things so articles favoring them (or targeting their competition) are more likely to show up in Google's recommendations.

So yeah, it's weird that this happening to you. Like, why would the algorithm do this? Truly a mystery.

It's like when you have a bad port of a good game but that's your only console so like it's technically still good, but if you DO have the other platforms you'd be like, why bother?

I've found Sakamoto good enough for what it is.

I didn't get the impression that people were actually as down on it as the propaganda lead me to believe.

....Though I guess the real issue is that I'm not actually seeing it get talked about anywhere else in the first place.

It isn't my favorite new show or anything (Zenshu > Ameku = Sakamoto) but I like it fine.

My quick ranking of the ongoing shows I'm watching

3. Blue Box
4. Honey Lemon Soda
5. Terrified Teacher

Ave Mujica is on top, not exactly close. Zenshu is in second, it's distant second by that's not Zenshu's fault lol. Villainess Dad is behind that, show is still plenty of fun.

I've really been enjoying Medalist, it's probably second for me after Ave Mujica.

How has the production held up there? I adore Medalist, but I've been ignoring it entirely because of the studio

It's been quite solid, I think. I know the studio has had some problems previously, but I haven't seen any issues, or seen anyone else complaining about the quality. The skate sequences have all looked very good.

Technicality!

It's a sequel in the same way that Railgun is a sequel to Index.

I was told in clear and straightforward terms not to pick up Ave Musica because I hadn't seen whatever it was following up.

That's still very very true! You should absolutely still watch It's My Go!!!!!. Those characters are in this show a good amount. However it is not about them primarily.

I'm not trying to say you should ever watch AM without watching MyGo first, but I didn't make the show titles. That's on Bushiroad.

Ave Mujica is absolutely a sequel to MyGO. The communities I'm in that follow it all say it's essentially a Season 2 to MyGO, to the point that it's dumb for it to not be marketed as one.

The show assumes you've already watched MyGO and you lose out on like half the context if you didn't.

Kind of exciting, even if one of those is clearly not like the others (I don't actually trust OPM to be good anymore, especially with the quality drop of S2 and way Murata keeps redrawing this fucking Flash/Sonic series of chapters in the manga...)

It's kind of incredible how somehow the manga is becoming more of a sad state than S2 of the anime was.

Hanashura's the best non-sequel I've checked out so far. Orb is quite good, though I didn't love it like some people seem to (it's definitely considered the best non-sequel of the season overall).

Flower and Ashura I tried really hard to love, but eventually I just got bored and couldn't keep it up. I think there's definitely something there, though.

Zenshu is probably the best non-sequel of the season IMO, but there's something there not clicking for me either.

Took a glance at Spring and there's a surprisingly large number of interesting looking shows.

Even 1 or 2 of the LN Harem trash shows lol like they have potential!

Finished up Tomodachi Game, decent concept if a bit goofy and kinda rushed at the end (second season syndrome I guess).

Tried watching about half of the first ep of Teror in Resonance. Liking the vibe, though I'll need to watch the full thing later to see whether I stick.

ty for the recs. zenshu was admittedly one of my ep1 drops (really hated the mc even by isekai standards and was thoroughly unamused by the nausicaa "reference" then and wasn't really keen on potentially seeing any more bastardisations of classic anime scenes) so i think i'm probably not going to bother with it still. hanashura was one i meant to check out though until my flatmate said he was actively uninterested so i just never did, def going to now. and may well have a look at orb too, i am at least pondering it

for reference btw the only other ones i checked were the ojisan villainess one and momentary lily (the latter pretty much ironically, knowing i'd hate it). have been tempted to start ones like ameku md, sakamoto days, honey lemon soda, the gay vampire one, the okinawa one, medalist and that golf one but obviously that's a lot to only be starting now so that's why i asked

Sorairo Utility's a pretty big disappointment, personally.

Ameku I've only watched half of. I do enjoy it, though. Wonder where episode 10 is...
