Dominos and Papa John's are about even with each other. Little Caesars is a bit below those two, but it's fine for the price. Pizza Hut is garbage and nobody should eat it ever.

This. Four excellent movies, and then one decent one that's obviously not on the same level as the rest.

I get missing Hogwarts as a setting, but it'd be weird for HP7 to still have all the school stuff.

I actually liked Toy Story 4 more than 3. Never really got the whole "we don't need this movie" complaining; it's not like the other sequels were super necessary themselves.

Sure, but the weird thing is that Ghibli wasn't really that involved in making the film itself. They didn't do much more than help fund it. Calling it a Ghibli film would be like saying (insert any post-2000 Ghibli film here) is a Disney film.

I like most artsy foreign/indie animation stuff, but Red Turtle just bored me to death. I feel like most of the acclaim it got was because people saw the Ghibli logo at the start and went in thinking "Oh, this must be a great movie".

Honestly, I think awful kids movies are an interesting challenge to analyze as a viewer. Yes, they are garbage. But what kind of garbage are they? How do the filmmakers choose which particular way to be stupid? Why do kids want to watch this shit, and why do parents keep paying for it? It's actually sort of interesting to look at these movies seriously.

I get people not liking all the artsy films in the list. What feels off is seeing so many of them go out when there's still so many mediocre generic kids movies left. I don't know, I guess I prefer how the pretentious movies are least trying to do something different.

I haven't seen Fritz, but if it's really as bad or worse than all the ultra-garbage kids movies on this list then I might have to watch it eventually. I just can't imagine how something people actually liked could be that awful.

Can't be that, the schools with huge football teams make enough profit off it that they don't need much money from the school. He must have gone to a college with a sad, not good football team.

Only seen the anime, which I'd give about a 5 or 6. But a lot of the stuff I didn't like seems like it might come off better in a game, so don't count that as a vote.

Incorrect. The big thing that can save Biden is a massive economic boom, which he has no control over and is completely unrelated to anything he can or cannot do.

Why are fireworks getting blamed for dogs running away? Unless the fireworks are destroying walls/fences, it sounds more like the dogs could just escape whenever something scares them. That's not very responsible pet ownership.

You know, I've never thought about it like that before. Fireworks making dogs miserable is fine because dogs suck, but if the noise stresses out other animals too then maybe anti-fireworks people have a point.

It's great to see Michigan keeping it close, unlike that loser G5 team Alabama just stomped. This kind of thing is why only power conference teams should ever be allowed in the playoffs.

Obviously joking, but how long until someone in sports media says this and actually means it.

Has Baccano still not gotten a US re-release? Not really a big fan myself, but I'm always kind of surprised when I see people mention how hard it is to watch these days.

But that's exactly why Americans don't want a better safety net. People don't want to help "everyone"; they only want help to go to those who "deserve" it, with the "undeserving" getting extra punishment on top of no help.

DC statehood in exchange for making eastern Oregon part of Idaho would be a ridiculously good deal, which is why it would never happen. The more realistic deal for DC statehood would be creating a new red state for balance. I wonder if eastern Oregon would go for that instead of joining Idaho.

Declassifying/legalizing marijuana wouldn't really swing public opinion much. It's somewhat popular and probably wouldn't hurt Democrats, but it's not a high priority issue for most people. Doesn't help that the people most opposed to it (old white people) are also the people to most likely actually vote in midterm years.

Really, the lack of a big unifying issue is the big problem with expecting Democrats to become more popular by doing stuff. The stuff that pretty much every Dem voter wants (infrastructure, voting rights) is kind of boring, while none of the stuff that gets voters excited is universally appealing to the whole base.

There's a lot of good live action anime tv series and small number of good live action film adaptations.

Aren't pretty much all of those adaptations based on manga rather than anime originals? I imagine that helps a bit since it means there's not already a definitive film version.
