Im hearing great things a common consensus is that it takes a little time before the gameplay really shines though.

Its okay the best story parts are entirely in text. Some of the characters come off as some combination of goofy, cringy, or annoying. It has its moments though. Its worth checking out because some people really loved it.

For all intensive purposes, they supposably had alot of good reasons for being upset irregardless of how silly they sounded.

Ugh What makes me sad is theres no shortage of guys with this mentality raising kids.

I can understand the initial screenshots being pretty lukewarm. But seeing this game in action is great. Everythings hand drawn, the animation is fun and lively, the colors pop. They didnt have to implement an ambient light system for 2d sprites but they did and its gorgeous.

They obviously couldve went with pixel art but this style is masterfully executed, more so than Ive seen in quite a few other 2D games

As others have said, its only okay on burgers or grilled cheese. But there are much better cheeses for both.
