Some like it that you send an email saying "thank you for the interview" 1 or 2 hours after an interview. To follow up and found out the status, normally the interviewer or the person who set it up will tell you a duration or something. If not, good to do it a week after the interview. It shows them that you're still interested in the job.

It's a shame about Xenoblade 2's presentation because when it gets serious it absolutely delves into serious topics like mental health, depression, the real consequences of war, racism, prostitution, etc. It's why I love the game so much and think it's ultimately stronger in some aspects than the first game. But it's got some really ass character design for some characters and first presents itself as a lighthearted, trope-filled anime-styled game. By Chapter 5 it starts feeling more like your typical Xeno-style flair.

I'll be honest, I think the anime-ish art style played a big role in why the game ended up being the best selling Xeno game. But yeah I'm not gonna lie, it did play a big role in why I couldn't finish playing the game (but also because how it does a really bad job explaining the battle system. Had to watch youtube videos explaining it better).

Okay yeah it was The Sacred Cards for the GBA. I was like "what the fuck, how did his weak ass creature beat my Summoned Skull?" Then my friend told me about the weakness system in the game lol.

Funny you say that, because I felt the same. Spidey has always been my favorite superhero so I always see the movie in theaters. I waited a while this time cuz of COVID til there were like 5 people left in the theater, but I finally saw it last weekend. This film was great for longtime fans and did not disappoint!

Spider-Man in the MCU universe has definitely improved from the first big universe film, which I thought was the weakest ever since I first saw the poster that looked more like an ad for "Iron Man and Sidekick." But this universe's Spidey has grown up and got better for sure, and even if you still like the other Spidey better, well good news they're in this film as well. No Way Home brings back the original and reboot #1 Spider guys from the alternate universes which I'll shorthand as "alts" when referring to them for the rest of this review. Let's get to the plot.

Starting where we left off from the last film, Spider-Man's secret identity is revealed and everyone is out to get him. Well, some people like him, but the obsessed loudmouths like Jameson do not and they go after Spidey relentlessly as he's forced to go underground. What will our hero do? Well, he decides to seek out Strange and wipe the slate clean so he can go back outside and no one will know it's him. He makes a mistake though, when he interrupts Strange because he wants a couple people to still know his identity. He shouldn't have done this and soon enough, enemy alts emerge to attack him. Yes there are enemy alts too!

This is where it gets really weird. Normally when you die you stay dead, right? Well in this oddball universe the enemies can now come back at any time as alts, and they wreak havoc on the city and poor Spider-Man. The villains were brought in at the top of their game too, and this Spider-Man doesn't recognize them as anyone he's ever fought before so he has no idea wtf is going on or what their problems are.

So it's challenging for Spidey, but if you know anything about our hero you know how it goes down. The enemy "wins" act 1 usually through brute force, but Spider-Man comes back in act 2 with his smarts to turn the tables and save the day. Even better, Spider-Man has alts of his own and they come back to kick butt! Yeah it turns out Spidey has 2 alts and they hang out in a couple other universes under the same name, different location. But this seems to be the main universe with all the Avengers in it....if only they can keep it from falling apart and collapsing in on itself....

Here's the extra challenge: Spider-Man isn't out to destroy his enemies the way they're out to get him. Nope. Spidey doesn't want to send the alts back to their deaths. Instead he wants to save them - fix their problems, get them to chill out and REFORM!

How do you do all that? Well in the movies if you have superpowers it takes about 2 1/2 hours. I thought this was gonna get split into 2 parts but nope, it just keeps going, and that's my only "complaint" about the movie if anything. I think it drags a little bit before the final showdown. But man is the rest on point. Friends become adversaries, enemies become allies, the universe goes wacky a few times. Who knew we were gonna see a heartless Strange wanna lock everything down, and Spidey fight against him to keep the alts in business! Who knew Spidey's own alts would have to keep him behaved so he doesn't go on a revenge spree against the goblins who wronged him! Who knew Jameson's info show was right all along and lizard people do indeed walk among us! So many twists and turns to the saga of our hero, but yes, he does find his way home where he belongs. Welcome home, hero, you deserve it.

It was a great movie and seriously I'm only taking a fraction of a point off for the long-movie drag. I give it a 9.5/10 and I can't wait to see what comes next. Personally I wanna see him up against some spider slayers in the next one.

It tried to do too much imo. It had a great premise with great ideas but not enough time dedicated to them. I think this could've either worked as a television show or if they cut down the cast by half to be more foused. With that said, it's a beautifully shot film. Probably some of the best looking MCU film and does give a lot of indie film vibes with its cinematography.

imo it just made the whole moment of the town coming back together to build them a new home kinda worthless.
I'd have preferred it if they didn't get their powers/Casita back. But, like I said, it's a kids movie so I get that there needs to be a happy ending.

I'll respectfully disagree. They didn't have the powers and the whole town coming together to build them a new home was them showing appreciation for all they have done for the community. Also, I don't know why you want the powers/casita gone when that would defeat the purpose of the movie. Luisa can finally relax, Isabella can finally use her powers for self expression, Bruno finally gets accepted by Abuela and others, and the family members get to live freely without the crushing weight of expectations. Not to mention taking Antonio's powers when he barely got his as well would've left a bigger bad taste in my mouth than anything. Well that's how I interpret it anyways, this movie is very on the nose when it comes to its own metaphors (another criticism from me anyways, like the cracks in the house showing the family being dysfunctional and all that), but because it's very metaphorical (learned from my Colombian friend what "magical realism" was) so there kind of no right or wrong answers.

Also I wouldn't view it as a kids movie, but more of a family movie like the typical Pixar movies and a lot of other Disney films. Kids movies would be something like the live action Smurf and Alvin and the Chipmunk movies, imo though.

Oh that didn't bother me because the movie is (and it's very on the nose about it) metaphorical. The house coming back basically means the family foundation is rebuilt. The only part that I dislike about the ending was that I think it should've been stretched out just a little to see more character interactions with each other and how the family bond has improved from before.
