-Most anime are themselves spinoffs or adaptations to begin with
-Traditional manga/Otaku culture has involved writing a premise into the fucking ground so the author can make a successful living off it. These stories are typically entirely one person jobs, which discourages any kind of spin off work
-When a franchise becomes popular, it's usually better just to sell merch off of it while it's hot rather than try to keep it going in the incredibly competitive Otaku market

My understanding is that the attempt rate is fairly similar, but men are more likely to succeed, often because they just shoot themselves instead of trying something less messy. I don't know exactly how they compare, though, and it wouldn't surprise me if there is still a significant difference in attempt rate.

This doesn't make sense at all, if they were shooting themselves the crisis would be anything but silent.

Not gonna spoil, but long story short: there are very, very little stakes... in anything. Whenever something big and bad happens, it's handwaved away like nothing even faster than the time it took to set it up. The main protagonist is basically a Gary Stu.
